62 Chapter 62: Clue 2

Shen Jun Shan could not really win when it comes to Qiao An. Just when he thought he got the upper hand, Qiao An would say something that rendered him speechless.

The food came right after Qiao An explained herself. She was right. If Qiao An did not love her, would she let him hold her hand?

If someone you do not love, would you let him or her touch you intimately? The answer would be no. Be it for man or woman; nobody liked to be touch by someone they do not love. It would feel weird, or they would feel creep out by it.

Someone like Qiao An would say the word 'love' when she felt that she wanted to. There was no point in coercing her to say something that she was not ready to say. To have her say 'I Love You' in a rounded-beating-on-the-bush way would be enough for Shen Jun Shan.

At least for now.

When Qiao An and Shen Jun Shan reached the parking lot of their apartment complex, it was almost eight o'clock. Qiao An asked for her house keys, but Shen Jun Shan refused to give it to her.

Both of them walked towards the house, and Shen Jun Shan unlocked the door. He went in first to check everything in the house before letting Qiao An come in.

Shen Jun Shan went to the pantry and saw that nothing changed there.

"An An, I need to tell you something, but you need to promise me that you are not going to freak out." Shen Jun Shan sat on the sofa. Qiao An sat beside her.

"Usually, when people said 'don't freak out,' almost most of the time, people are going to freak out. So, I'm not going to promise anything." Qiao An braced herself.

"I think someone is trying to break into your house." His tone got serious. "Yu Jing saw a man entered your house during office hours. The man has the keys to your house. I mean the previous keys."

Qiao An held her breath.

"I'm not sure what is his motive of entering your house since nothing went missing in here, but the fact that he has your house keys is worrisome." Shen Jun Shan touched Qiao An's cheek. "Maybe you need to stay somewhere else first before we know who broke into your house."

Qiao An exhaled. Everything started to make sense right now. But who has the keys to her house? The landlord? The management? Qiao An never gave her spare keys to anyone. Even Jin did not have one. Moreover, a random man just entered her house easily. What kind of logic is this?

Qiao An chose to rent the house in this apartment complex because of its security. Now that someone has breached the security, how could she ever feel safe here?

"Maybe you should call your brother." Shen Jun Shan patted Qiao An's chin. "That man knows where you live. If you are still here, he will know. You should stay somewhere not here at the moment.

Not saying anything, Qiao An frowned at Shen Jun Shan. But he was right. Qiao An would be safer somewhere else.

Qiao An called her brother to come and take her. Jin asked what happened, but Qiao An did not explain anything to him. After that, Qiao An packed her clothes with Shen Jun Shan accompanying her in the living room.

The clothes that Qiao An packed were only for a few days, so she finished packing in twenty minutes. She went to sit near Shen Jun Shan after she was done doing so.

"I'll go and see you every day." Shen Jun Shan smiled at Qiao An.

Qiao An nodded, and then someone knocked on the door. Shen Jun Shan opened the door and saw Jin standing outside. Jin went inside without waiting for an invitation from anyone.

"Why do you want to stay with me all of a sudden?" Jin sat near Qiao An so that Shen Jun Shan will not be able to sit next to Qiao An.

Shen Jun Shan told Jin what he mentioned to Qiao An earlier. Jin was deep in thinking. Qiao An was keeping a low profile, why would someone want to enter the house?

"We need to install CCTV here." Jin came up with a plan.

While at that, he threw a triumphant look over to Shen Jun Shan. Shen Jun Shan ignored such a look from Jin.

"I've already purchased a wireless security camera this afternoon. I am thinking of having them installed tomorrow morning."

Both Jin and Qiao An looked at Shen Jun Shan. Jin, especially, was glaring at Shen Jun Shan while Qiao An was full of smile.

"Xiao An, let's go." Seeing that Shen Jun Shan was one step in front of him, Jin could not help but feel disappointed in himself. He wanted to erase the proud smile on his face.

"I don't want to do this anymore. I don't think it's working. She is seeing someone right now."

Joel sat on the sofa at his house.

"She even changed the lock of her house. Should have known her observation skill is excellent." The man sat at the opposite of Joel. He changed the channel on the television like he owned the house.

"Let's just stop. I'll find a way to pay you." Joel leaned back and closed his eyes.

"They are just started seeing each other. The feeling can get confused. Try again. If you get her love, you get her money." The man put down the television remote on the coffee table in front of him. "If you don't want to do it, I'll take action."

Joel said nothing. He was so sick of following order.
