58 Chapter 58: Shirley 1

After faking sleep for 30 minutes, Amy Shen was sure that her brother and Qiao An was gone from the apartment complex area. She readied herself, and when she saw the car key on the table, she smiled.

Amy Shen went out of her house and tried to lock her door when a young girl and a boy walked past her to go upstairs.

The apartment building has three floors. The Shen siblings stayed on the first floor, Qiao An on the second floor, and Yu Jing recently moved into the third floor. As for the ground floor, the house was vacant as long as she can remember since the rent is more expensive on the ground floor.

Amy Shen tried not to care about the boy and girl, but the boy looked handsome, so Amy Shen could not help but glanced a few times towards the boy. Amy Shen only stopped glancing when the girl threw her a nasty look.

It was not a problem if she was late to work since the company belonged to her and her brother, so Amy Shen took her time in the parking lot. That was when she saw the man whom Qiao An went out with last week.

The man was standing at the corner end of her apartment building.

The first time Amy Shen saw the man was at night and from a distance, so she could not see his face. But just from the outline of his face, Amy Shen could tell that he was a handsome guy.

And Amy Shen likes to look at a handsome guy.

Now that it was bright, Amy Shen can see that the man looked very attractive. But still, for her, her brother is the most handsome, and Jin too. Both of them were the most good looking in Amy Shen's opinion.

However, the man was acting suspiciously. It was almost eight o'clock in the morning, and the man was standing there, wandering around like he was waiting for something or someone. There was no rule saying that the man could not stand or wander there, but Amy Shen's intuition is always right about this kind of thing.

Maybe because she was used to it, people always act in a particular action when they were around her, and she picked up a few clues on how to read people. And the man's action screamed 'suspicious' all over his face.

Amy Shen pretended to play with her phone, but as she lowered the driver seat of her car. Her eyes kept on glancing at the man from time to time so that the man would not realize that Amy Shen was monitoring him.

Around five minutes later, Amy Shen saw that the previous boy and girl she encountered walked towards the man at the corner. The man at the corner looked relieved when he saw the boy and girl. Now that Amy Shen could see the three of them together, they all looked like they were around the same age. The three of them talked as if they were discussing something seriously.

And the boy and girl she thought were young, did not look too young after all. Now that she could look at them carefully instead of only glancing towards them, Amy Shen concluded that the three people must be at the same age as her.

Since the two newcomers came to the man who went out with Qiao An, that made them suspicious too.

When the three people walked away from the corner, Amy Shen departed from her apartment complex.

When Amy Shen reached the office, she went straight to Shen Jun Shan's office and saw that her brother had a silly grin on his face. He looked like he was in a great mood.

"So, I guess you got your girl? It has been a long time since I last saw that silly grin on your face." Amy Shen put the car key on Shen Jun Shan's table. "I'm happy for you, brother."

"You can use the car for now. I have to go pick up An An's car in the afternoon." Shen Jun Shan pushed back the car key towards Amy Shen. "Not that I want to abandon you, but you know…"

Shen Jun Shan did not continue his sentence, but Amy Shen knew her brother too well. She did not want to disturb them for the third time, so Amy Shen took the car key.

"Got it. I'll be back before ten." She smiled and took the key. Amy Shen went out of the office while thinking about how she could spend her time after work until ten.

Then Jin came to her mind.

Amy Shen sent a text to Jin, asking if he was free for dinner since they were comrade after all. Jin replied almost immediately, and they made a plan for the evening.

Jin was waiting for Amy Shen in the Moon and Star Restaurant after he got off from work. He purposely went off work earlier so that he could reach the restaurant first.

Almost half an hour later, Amy Shen came to the restaurant and went directly towards where Jin was seated. The waiter came to the table with the menu, and Amy Shen was looking at the menu when a gorgeous lady came to their table.

"Excuse me, Mr. Tang Jin." The lady looked at Jin and then nodded her head towards Amy Shen. Amy Shen stopped looking at the menu and stared at the lady.

The lady in front of her fits the description of a sizzling hot babe described in the novel. If the story described a beauty that could cause the downfall of a country, the woman in front of her was the real beauty.

Jin did not say anything, but he kept on staring at the lady in front of him. Amy Shen saw how Jin was acting and could not help but sighed. Men could not get away from this kind of temptation – the beauty temptation.

Amy Shen shook her head, complaining about how men are always like that. Her brother used to be like that too, but thank god; he changed for good. Amy Shen stopped caring about the businesses between Jin and the lady, and she focused on choosing her meal.

"You are?" Jin spoke after some time. Jin thought that the lady in front of him was quite familiar.

"I'm Shirley. Nice to meet you." Shirley smiled broadly at Jin.

Jin stood up to shake hands with her, but to his surprise, Shirley Wang went to hug him. Jin was quite surprised, so he just stood there like a log.

Amy Shen saw the whole thing and was quite surprised at how bold the lady is. The lady spoke a bit with Jin and went to her table after a few exchanges with Jin.

"Your acquaintance?" Amy Shen asked.

"Not really. She's the Mayor's daughter in City T." Jin looked at Amy Shen's face and saw curiosity in it. "She went to study overseas; she must be influenced by the culture there. I mean the hug."

Amy Shen did not ask anything after that, and that made Jin uncomfortable. He felt as if he needed to explain more.

"We are not familiar with each other. My father asked me to see her, but since I'm busy, I don't have time. She must have seen my picture somewhere; that's why she knows my face."

Amy Shen smiled at Jin. "You don't have to tell me everything."

"I don't want you to misunderstand" was what Jin wanted to say to Amy Shen, but since Amy Shen told him that he did not have to tell her everything, Jin swallowed his words and ate his meal in silence.

The dinner between Jin and Amy Shen went as usual. They talked about their common topic as if nothing happened before that.

That night, Jin was scolded by his father. His father told him to see the Mayor's daughter as soon as he can since the Mayor's daughter was going to be in City L for two weeks.
