26 Chapter 26: New neighbor 1

The parking spots for D1006, D2006 and D3006 were all in one row.

Shen Jun Shan and Qiao An came back and saw that the parking lot for D3006 was occupied. Since Qiao An moved to the housing complex, the parking spot has been vacant up until now.

"Someone's living upstairs of you?" Shen Jun Shan came out from his car. "Nice car."

Qiao An never cares about a car, so she came out of the car and walked straight up to her floor without waiting for Shen Jun Shan. Shen Jun Shan followed her hurriedly.

When Shen Jun Shan and Qiao An reached the first floor, he tapped on Qiao An's shoulder. "See you tomorrow, An An. Here, take this" Shen Jun Shan held out his hand to give her a small box.

Qiao An knew what was inside the box. It's a slice of chocolate indulgence cake. Qiao An thought that Shen Jun Shan wanted to give it to Amy Shen. After all, she ate a slice of cake and a few spoonfuls of Shen Jun Shan's cake in the coffee shop.

Seeing how Qiao An looked at the box and have no intention to take it, Shen Jun Shen seemed to know what was on Qiao An's mind. Shen Jun Shan took Qiao An's hand and put the box on her palm.

"You can eat this tomorrow. Amy does not like chocolate cake" Shen Jun Shan waved at Qiao An and entered his house.

As someone who was supposed to be on a diet, Qiao An should not be eating a lot of sweet things, but she likes cake, especially anything with chocolate in it. Qiao An smiled and whispered 'thank you' to Shen Jun Shan, not knowing whether he heard or not.

Qiao An held the box as if it has the most precious thing in the world. As she struggled to get the keys out from her bag, a light footstep descending the stairs could be heard. Like usual, Qiao An did not turn her back as she did not want to make unnecessary conversation with whoever it is.

"Urm… hello there," A sweet female voice could be heard from the back. There was a trace of uncertainty in her voice.

Qiao An sighed. As much as she wanted to avoid necessary conversation, she could not just feign ignorance when the other party called for her. Qiao An turned around to see an unfamiliar woman stood in front of her.

"Hi, I'm Yu Jing. I just move into 3006" The woman paused. "May I ask if your house has a water problem? Because my house has no water."

"I'm Qiao An. 3006 has been vacant for sometimes. Maybe your landlord locked the main pipe downstairs. You can ask your landlord to unlock it for you" Qiao An looked at the lady in front of her. "Anything else?"

The lady shook her head and thanked Qiao An. Qiao An stared at the lady's retreating and entered her house.

Sometimes later, while Qiao An was reading on her sofa, a soft knock can be heard from the door. Qiao An rarely had visitors. The only one who came into her house would be the Shen sibling and Jin.

Qiao An looked at her phone and saw no missed call or messages. Usually, if Jin wants to come over, he will inform her first. It was unlikely for the Shen siblings to visit her at such hour, so Qiao An was curious.

She opened the door slowly in case it was a bad person who knocked on her door. To her surprise, the lady 3006 stood in front of her.

"Yes?" Qiao An did not expect to see Yu Jing in front of her house.

Yu Jing smiled meekly towards Qiao An with a little bit of guilt. "Hurm, I am so sorry for disturbing your rest time. But can you please help me with this?" Yu Jing dangled a key in front of Qiao An.

"The landlord told me about the key for the meter pipe, but you see, I don't know where it is or which one is meter pipe for my house. Could you please help me."

Qiao An glanced at the clock on her wall. She had 10 minutes left for reading, so she agreed to help Yu Jing.

As Yu Jing and Qiao An went to the water pipe, Yu Jing was so talkative and told Qiao An about a lot of things related to her. Qiao An did not ask any question and only responded with a simple 'Oh' and 'Ah', but the lady never seemed to get the hint that Qiao An was not interested in her life story.

By the time everything was done, and Qiao An returned to her house, she knew that Yu Jing just moved in City L. She is going to open a yoga studio in City L. Qiao An has nothing against Yu Jing, but she was uncomfortable being around people who talked too much although they were not familiar with each other.

The next day, like what she did recently, Qiao An went for jogging, and of course, Shen Jun Shan was there with her. Qiao An was running quietly when she saw that people were gathering near the playground; most of them were men. The men were whispering to each other and had some kind of weird smile plastered to their face.

Curious of the commotion, Qiao An stopped to peek. As she inched closer to the gathering spot, she heard the people said:

"Ah, her body is so sexy."

"She's so flexible. You know what that means, right?"

"I want to get her number. Do you think she's single?"

"She's about to walk away. Quick, ask for her number."

Qiao An could not get any closer since there were a lot of taller guys in front of her so she could not see what the cause of the gathering was. Since she knew that she could not see any way, Qiao An gave up and turned to face Shen Jun Shan who was also trying to look at the object of attention.

"it's just a lady doing some yoga stretching. I thought some female celebrities are shooting a drama or music video'' Shen Jun Shan told Qiao An what he saw because he knew Qiao An did not get to see anything due to her height. "Nothing interesting. Let's continue our jog".

Qiao An nodded and about to take off when she heard a familiar voice called her name.

"Qiao An, you're here too".

Qiao An turned around to see Yu Jing, who was wearing black yoga pants and neon pink sports bra, approached her.

"I need to work out and come out here. I am so glad to see a familiar face in this park". Yu Jing stopped in front of Qiao An and Shen Jun Shan. "And this is…?"

Since Qiao An does not like talking, she develops the habit of observing and listening attentively. Because of that, she was kind of good in reading expression, and she was able to detect small changes in a person's expression.

Which is why Qiao An noticed how Yu Jing's eyes sparkled the moment she laid her eyes on Shen Jun Shan.

"I am Yu Jing. I move upstairs of Qiao An's house" Yu Jing did not wait for Qiao An to answer her question and proceed to hold out her hand for a handshake.

When Shen Jun Shan shook hand with Yu Jing, Qiao An could see that Yu Jing's face just lighted out when their hand touched. Since Shen Jun Shan stood beside Qiao An, Qiao An did not see the look on his face.

Ah, so she's attracted to Shen Jun Shan. Qiao An smiled at the newfound information. As she thought, Shen Jun Shan keeps on attracting all the butterflies.

Qiao An did not reply to Yu Jing. It was not as if she had to since Yu Jing was putting all her attention to Shen Jun Shan. Qiao An slowly became the forgotten side character. All the other men who gathered around that place threw dagger towards Shen Jun Shan and Yu Jing.

Since Yu Jing was too busy making small talk to Shen Jun Shan, Qiao An did not want to disturb them. So, she quietly slipped away from them, trying to finish her remaining running time before it gets dark.

Shen Jun Shan could feel that the new girl in front of him was super excited to talk, but he only nodded his head in response. From the corner of his eyes, he saw that Qiao An had continued her run. Without realising, his body automatically moves to catch up with Qiao An.

"An An, wait for me". Shen Jun Shan started to jog towards Qiao An. He seemed to forget that Yu Jing was still talking to him.

Yu Jing was disappointed because Shen Jun Shan just started jogging abruptly. She looked at Shen Jun Shan's back, and a smile formed on her beautiful face.
