Chapter 7: "Am I Insane?"

"We will go somewhere instead of my home," I suggested.

"No! I started loving your mom," She said as she twirled with a smile.

"Huh!" I chuckled.

She turned around; lowered her brows and asked, "What is making you laugh, idiot?"

"I'll slap you like anything if you drop any words on her," she warned.

Even her warning was cute. Every single expression made me go deeper and deeper into her. I was walking behind her. My lips got dried and wanted someone to wet.

"Prachi! Let me know if you're interested in wetting my dry lips," I said.

"How do you find the way to get anything?" She blushed.

"That means you will kiss me, right?" I yelled.

She pointed out an officer and teased, "Why don't we call an audience for clapping?"

"I am serious," I giggled.

She was stupid who talks anything at any time. I told her to drop the fingers, but she walked towards the officer and asked me, "Did you say anything?"

I smashed my head with a hammer in my mind.

"Why is she provoking Mumbai Police for nothing?" I asked myself.

"Hey! What's going on with you, mad girl? Last time, you were mocking me and this time you are poking me. What do you think about us?" Officer raised his voice.

I interrupted her by saying anything and pleased, "She is mentally ill, Sir! Please, forgive us."

"Ok! Ok! Take her home," He agreed.

Before I spoke, she reached to the middle of the road.

"I told you to wait, right?" I shouted.

She changed her face expression and started walking towards me. As I was telling her to stop, a car hit her. I stood there wide-eyed at the unexpected scene. Suddenly, everything has paused except her. I was running to grab her as she was falling. The moment she fell on her neck, everything became normal. It shook me upside down and took her in my arms.

"Prachi! Are you there?" I exclaimed.

My tears rolled out on cheeks as I saw her in that condition. I saw the blood flowing out from her body continuously. This was the first accident I saw in front of my eyes. My heart sank in sorrow; my eyes got numb crying. When I sobered, my mouth became dry.

"Hang in there, Prachi!" I sobbed.

My pain was less compared to her. If I were here, I would've given up my life.

"Baby! You told me that you'll stay forever with, didn't you?" I asked her in a low voice.

"Get up, Prachi! Let's stay forever," I said as I put my forehead on hers.

"Please, call the ambulance," I pleased everyone.

I was indulging her in my words as she was losing her conscious. To prevent the flow of blood, I kept my hand on her head.

"Control yourself, baby!" I said.

I blamed myself for all this. If she stayed in the house at that time, nothing would've happened. Everything has shuttered me. My boundless love managed to bound itself.

"This is my fault," I hit myself.

"Hurry up! The ambulance is on its way," an officer informed us.

"Prachi, look! Sir has come for you. This time, I'll tease him with you," I said.

She didn't respond to my words.

"Prachi!" I yelled.

While I was finding my reason to live, I got nothing other than her. She was the goddess of a sacred house where my heart resides. As I looked at my home hoping that mom would stand, the ambulance has arrived. They moved her on the stretcher and placed her into the ambulance and drove us directly to the hospital.

I had done full paperwork, but they were charging me 1,00,000 Rupees for the treatment. Even my hope became helpless because I didn't have a single penny in my pocket.

"You need to pay half of the amount to start the treatment," one of the receptionists said.

By any means of possible, I wanted her alive. So, I approached a receptionist and requested her to start the treatment.

"There are some rules and regulations carried by the Hospitals. I understand your pain, Sir but I couldn't help you in this matter. Thank you!" She clarified.

"Fuck this hospital!" I shouted as I banged the desk.

I rushed to her again and said, " Excuse me! She is bleeding continuously on the stretcher. Please, carry to the operation lab. The money will get credited into your account within five minutes."

"We're sor.."

"Fuck this shit!"

She skipped a beat because of my anger. I apologized for my mistake and walked out of the hospital. My love became useless in front of everything. Money has done the lot to smash one's love utterly. As I was crying out loud near the parking lot, the driver of that ambulance handed over her mobile. I unlocked that phone and saw my photo as her wallpaper.

"Prachi! I am missing your smile!" I screamed.

"Prachi! I am missing your smile!" I screamed.

As I wiped my tears; rushed to the hospital, I saw my mom taking her card from the receptionist. I ignored her and walked towards the receptionist to please her again. When my mom saw me passing by her, she pulled my hand. I stood in front of her and looked down.

"Ragh, I paid the fees. Now you have nothing to worry. Your mom knows what do you want," she smiled; kissed me on the forehead.

I cried in silence. My tears couldn't hold themselves while she was wiping my tears. When she looked at me crying, she cried. I wanted to hug her; tell her how much I loved Prachi but her fault held my feelings back.

"Do you love her a lot?" She asked.

I nodded.

"Aww.. my sweetheart is crying for a girl! She is beautiful. Don't ever cheat her, ok?" She said.

I nodded.

She hugged me tightly and whispered, "I'll miss you. At least call me MOM today!"

As I remained silent, she climbed up to the first floor without uttering a single word where Prachi's operation was running. I saw distraught parents asking a receptionist about their child. Before she tells the information, I spit out the place where Prachi is. They turned around and looked at me. I couldn't control myself when their eyes looked numb. Their smile faded away. By looking at their faces, I confirmed that they were her parents.

I fell on my knees near the cash counter, and everybody asked me what happen. It felt like someone hit my heart with a rock and stopped the air flowing in my atmosphere.

I saw my father when her father was crying. Even he would've cried if he saw me in her state. Suddenly, my tears stained face turned into the wreathed of smiles.

"I'm lucky for not having a father to cry," I said.

The cruel world tried to make her away from me, but until my life goes on, she will stay on.

"Excuse me!"

"Hello?"

I started hearing some voices.

"Get up and go somewhere else and do whatever you want to do," someone yelled.

All of a sudden, I came into the conscious and walked silently through the stairs. Everybody was asking me whether I am insane or not.
