Chapter 18: "The Ocean Without A Shore"

The days passed looking at her bench without the blink of my eyes. It was so hard to me being without her in that class. The Publicist called me for a date to publish, and I asked him to wait for a while. I wanted her to be my side by the time my book published worldwide. There was something clearly looking on my face with a smile. I had a world of 4 people.

I was standing near the window and glancing at the greenery of my college. The view gave me a piece of satisfaction. As it was at recess time, nobody was around me.

I closed my eyes and whispered, "Darling, why are you making it late?"

"Excuse me!" said someone.

When I looked behind, I saw a girl smiling at me.

"Is this your place?" I questioned.

"No! No!" she said as she walked towards me, "The sound of the air is so beautiful," she said looking outside of the window.

I nodded.

"So, you like being alone, umm… whoever you are," she said looking at me.

"When your love is playing hide and seek with you, and even after you shouted, "It's enough, I can't find you", they won't show themselves up," I paused.

I said in a deep voice bending towards her, "That feeling is killing me, now."

"I'm searching for a love which I lost in a few seconds," I added.

"What happened to your love?" she asked, curiously.

I looked at her and said, "I'm very easy in pulling my blues to everyone."

"No! Not like…"

I left the class before she speaks something.

"Why am I sad?" I asked myself.

It was even making me hard to suffocate in the atmosphere without her. After the recess, I bunked the whole period, and started walking home after the college. When I switched on my mobile, I saw 15 missed calls of Harini and Prachi's Dad. As I was dialling his number, I heard a voice from the back.

"Raghav!"

When I turned around, I saw Harini running towards me. She got me in no time and started breathing heavily.

"What happened, Harini?" I asked.

"Why did you run out of your breathe?" I questioned.

"Pra… Prachi!" she said, breathing heavily.

"Prachi, what?" I asked, curiously.

"Prachi is in conscious!"

"Are you fucking serious?" I excited."Hurrah!" I screamed hugging her.

"Wait! Wait! Let me complete!" she said, taking a long breath.

"Are you still struggling to breathe?" I asked.

"I'm so happy about this, Harini. Did Bhargav know about this?" I added.

"Why did you switch off your phone, idiot?" she yelled.

"Now, what happened?" I asked, lowering my brows.

"He is in the hospital."

"Did she talk about me?" I asked, holding her shoulders.

She winked and lowered her voice, "Go, find out yourself."

I left my bag with her and rushed to the hospital to see my love. My cheeks weren't listening to me, and the happiness was cleaning the bench in my heart for her arrival. I smiled at the sky and thanked mom for keeping her alive, and my eyes started seeing her smile face again. Suddenly, my heart was fearing like it happened at our first meet. I had no idea why it was happening with me back then but, now, I got the reason of it because I started feeling her presence again. She brought old me back into this world. I ran into the hospital, and as I was entering the room, her father stopped me.

He was standing outside of the next door.

"Uncle!" I called and walked towards him.

He took out his cigarette and trying to light it.

"Uncle!" I looked around and said, "This is a hospital."

"What's wrong with it, now?" he snuggled.

I saw something wrong with his behaviour.

"How's Prachi?" I asked.

"You care?" he questioned.

"Yes, I do."

"Checkout yourself, then," he said.

I walked in angrily, and when I was at the door, she looked at me. The way her eyes rays were falling on me, it brought me tears on cheeks. Though her eyes looked pale a bit but, after all, she's my only reserved love in this world.

"Prachi!" I whispered, smiling in tears.

Her mom looked behind; walked towards me. She had no face of happiness.

She put her hands on my shoulder and said, "Prachi..." she exited the room, sighing.

"Where is Bhargav?" I asked Prachi walking to her.

"Who's Bhargav?" she asked.

"By the way, who're you?" she added.

"What the hell?" I shouted myself.

"If you don't know me, you can walk out and ask my mom to come. Please!" she said.

"No! No! I know you," I said.

"But," she paused.

"I don't know you!" she added.
