3 The Red Ghosts (1)

Three days passed in a flash, and I was already bored. The manga was great and everything but it never showed how boring life could be as a pirate in between raids and vacations.

Fortunately, my recent killing and my new skill [Bloodlust] that I learned and grinded helped me avoid chores.

Plus, both the captain Lara and the first mate Jackson had other things to worry about, like where to sell the miscellaneous stuff we stole, and upgrade our ship.

North Blue was pretty much cold, living up to its name, but with cold came quietness and tranquility. There weren't that many pirates, which instantly worked to increase the game of the Red Ghosts.

It was a shitty name, but our captain was a stubborn woman, 25 of age, who founded this crew over the past seven years, rising from a meaningless thug to the infamous pirate she was today, with 250 000 Berry on her head.

Jackson was worth 120 000 himself, which I found quite absurd, since he was Lv. 17, almost as strong as Lara.

However, bounties only reflected infamy, and not true skills. I myself had an 80 000 Berry bounty on my head, which told a lot about how efficient I had been at terrorizing the Kaya Village during my first raid.

I walked in the medical bay and smirked, seeing the crew doctor's face redden. She was called Hana, a green-haired girl with glasses and greenish eyes. I wanted to conquer her

She wasn't very beautiful, because of her freckles and overall timid and awkward aura, but I was filled with fourteen-years-old hormones, and anything with mature breasts excited me.

But I restrained myself. Rather than getting her to like me or getting her to warm my bed, I was more interested in...her potions

« Do you have what I asked you to brew? », I asked, muttering all the charisma and leadership aura I could.

Yet...

« Will is a big boy, huh? You get a big bounty and that's how you react? Just stop it with your grin! Do you know what a big bounty mean ? You will be hunted by the marines and...and... », she said in a charade filled with mutters and lack of eloquence.

She was like a big sister, except she was hotter.

But let's go back to business

I stepped on a prisoner's wound which caused the latter to groan in pain.

Seeing that I was not going to stop, she hurriedly unlocked a chest an gave me three goals: « Alright! Just stop already! That's just cruel! Here are your training supplements, but don't take more than a few drops a day! »

I smirked and released the poor prisoner.

She was too easy to manipulate.

As a doctor, she was a true philanthropist. She would heal anyone requiring treatment, no matter how vile or how poor a person is. She believed that life was the most precious thing in the world.

I liked that about her. But I preferred to believe that Berries were the most precious things in the world. After all, with money you can control the world, like the celestial dragons do.

Anyhow, I got what I came for:

[Blood Supplements - Common Potion

This is an elixir made by Hana Elderwood, doctor of the Red Ghosts, using a recipe recently looted in Kaya village. This recipe uses human blood, and has thus been banned for decades, and it was believed to have disappeared from North Blue decades ago.

Increase physical attribute growth for the next four hours by 5% for each millimeter ingested.

Side effects - [Lustful] ailment for the next twenty four hours]

I wouldn't be controlled by an ailment. I made a pact with myself, which is why I swore not to fuck anyone while drugged with these supplements.

Strength came first.

*Gulp*

That had a horrible iron taste, but I drank the whole vial and started to do pushups and swung my knife over and over again, repeating the same stabbing motion dozens, hundreds of times in a row. For four hours straight, I destroyed my muscle tissue, and grinned as the blood supplements regenerated it in a stronger version of what it was.

After four hours, I collapsed, drenched in sweat.

But I was happy.

I suffered, but I was very happy.

[Intense training has raised your strength and constitution by 1 point!]

[Intense use of [Stab] has led the skill to reach Lv. 2]

What would have taken months only took four hours and a vial.

I withdraw what I said about this trip being boring. If I could earn stats on a daily basis and level my skills, then...I wouldn't spit on the opportunity!
