1 The Beast Inside

It was about 17:00 o'clock, I was in the newly made school dorms sleeping early as I was feeling unwell at the time, the only people that asked me if I was feeling any better were my only friends at school namely Hanta Sero who I bonded with over our shared love for anime and manga, Kaminari Denki my best friend who I've known and been friends with since middle school over our shared pervertedness and Mezo Shoji who I befriended as he is like an older brother to me. We became friends when one time I was rushing to class from Recovery Girl's office, rushed down the stairs and I ended up slipping on some water someone spilled, wiped out and got my head stuck on the floor from my quirk. Shoji walking to class from the cafeteria saw me and helped me up, he grabbed my clothes and tried getting me unstuck which additionally stretched out my clothes, I got knocked out for a second before waking up instantly and got carried on Shojis' back, back to class before Aizawa sir allowed me to take the rest of the day off and Shoji started looking out for me ever since then and there were 2 more people that actually worried for me, one being a black and green haired boy with freckles named Midoriya Izuku or Deku as most people call him and a tall, intelligent black haired girl named Yaoyorozu Momo who is one of the top students in our class academically and who was also nominated to be class representative.

Back to present day, I layed on my bed in a cold sweat ^Which is weird because normally someone says when they struggle o sleep because they're unwell they would say they slept while they were in a hot sweat^ something wasn't right with me but eventually after enough tossing and turning I was able to fall asleep even though I was in a constant wet, sweat.

The next day at about 6 in the morning I woke up still feeling unwell but this time I was burning up, for the next hour I layed down in my bed, breathing heavily trying to catch my breath, then I heard a familiar sound <Knock, Knock!!> someone was knocking on my dorm door *H-Huh s...someone i-is knocking at m-my door, I wonder who it could be?*

"Mineta are you in there? Class is about to start soon if you don't get out we're gonna be late!" The person in question who came to my dorm to check up on me was my best friend Denki and it sounded like he was talking to someone on the other side of the door mostlikely Sero or Shoji as Midoriya and Yaoyorozu wouldn't want to miss a second of class

I then flipped over to my side, pushed myself up and then climbed off the side on my bed, I covered myself with a blanket and then began slowly walking to the door, infront of the door I shakily reached to grab the door handle and opened the door and saw that one of the people that came to check up on me was indeed Denki and the other person was indeed Sero "Hey dude what's up we were going to ask if you were feeling any better today and if you'd be able to come to class but you don't look any better... you somewhat look to be in worse condition then before" Denki said in which I then responded by nodding my head before I sneezed and 2 of the sticky orbs on my head shot out of my head and then got stuck to the ceiling right next to the other 22 orbs that were on the ceiling.

"Bro Denki I don't think Mineta can go to class today he really hasn't been in the best condition for the past few days and his condition seems to be getting worse" Sero said before Denki kneeled down to my level "Ok dude should we tell Aizawa sir that you won't be able to come in to class today?" Denki added, I then nodded my head, Denki stood back up and looked at Sero before agreeing to go and tell Aizawa sir that I won't be able to make it to class, they then looked at me told me to get well soon as I smiled at them and replied "Yeah I'll uhh... I'll be back to my old self soon" before they turned around and went to class.

As soon as they left I closed the door and turned to face the inside of my room *I really hope I get better soon* I thought but then I felt a sharp pain in my chest and head but the pain was so unbearable I could only silently scream in pain just quiet enough that no one could hear me <Thud!> could be heard throughout my room as I fell to the ground and started wheezing on my side, before long I passed out while my body was still feeling those sharp pains.

/I opened my eyes and saw nothing but darkness. *Where the hell am I... wait I no longer feel sick? Am I healed and where in the world am I* I thought as I then began walking forward... after traveling a few meters ahead of me I began seeing a bright purple light, next thing I knew I began sprinting towards the light hoping it would lead me back to the real world *I'm almost there... I really hope this light could get me out of this place, I really hope I'm not running to sign my own death certificate* I thought as I began to get closer and closer before I finally reached the light and when I got there, the light that was signaling me to find it was a little floating light bulb that was suspiciously floating over a medium sized pool *The hell is this?*/

/I kneeled down and touched the substance in the pool which was sticky and had a high level of elasticity which felt like a mixture of ink, gum and water *This feels familiar like I know this feeling but I just can't put my finger on it?*. It then left a stain you'd normally get if you touched ink but yet at the same time it wasn't ink or gum it also felt alive as the substance was throbbing for some reason. I then looked inside the reflection of the substance that filled the pool and tried removing the bit that was on my finger but it wouldn't come off. Then out of nowhere the substance on my finger slipped off, landed on the side of the pool and it began... slithering... it began slithering back into the pool and the liquid in the pool then seemed to throb some more and a hand then stuck out of the liquid the black liquid on the hand seemed to go half way up the base and fully surrounding the forearm of whatever was coming out of the liquid, <Splat!!> I heard, the sound echoing in the void that I was trapped in as the second arm which was similar to the other one burst out and grabbed the side of the pool *What the hell!! What the hell is going on* I thought as I stood back up and began backing up away from the pool/

/As I slowly backed up I kept my eyes glued to the pool and the arms that sprouted out of the substance inside the pool. The arms that were holding the side of the pool seemed to be trying to pull themself up, and out of nowhere something burst out of the substance climbing out and standing before me, it seemed to be human but there were clear differences between the thing I was looking at and a human being, for one it had alot of human characteristics, it was at most to be 5'6ft, seemed to have a humanoid body and face and it was not skinny or buff but just fit enough to look like the average male that regularly goes to the gym and it had black, fluffy yet slick hair with the tips of its hair being a lighter pigment of purple and as it went up to its head it would get darker until it was pitch black but that's where its human physical characteristics ended as the beast had razor sharp teeth that were similar to those of a sharks' ^Or Kirishima even considering that man has really sharp teeth aswell lol^, it had razor sharp nails that resembled the claws of a beast that complemented its shark teeth, it's hands were colored in a dark shade of purple up to its foreams and its legs had the same shade of purple going down from the top of its knees to the bottom of its feet, it had a very deep breath which seemed to indicate it has strong lungs with high lung capacity, and for some strange reason this beast had a metal cuff around its neck and a short broken chain on the end of the metal cuff on its neck and dark purple horns that seemed to be 15cm in length coming from the top of its head/

/The beast then turned to look at me, it was staring me down with pitch black eyes with purple pupils that were shaped like the slit pupils of a snake, the beast stared me down and the aura it gave off made it seem like it was growing even bigger and bigger even though it was just fear taking over my body as the beast began slowly creeping up on me. As it slowly walked closer and closer to me normally I would've immediately ran in the other direction but... I couldn't move my legs... let alone run away *Why... why... why can't I move my legs!! What... what is this feeling... is it... fear!? No... it can't be... this feeling is different from fear... it's way worse than normal fear... this fear is... 100x worse!!* I thought as I was shaking in fear, sweating puddles while looking at the beast get closer and closer to me, as the beast was approaching it held out its hands, got closer and then the beast stopped right infront of me holding out its hands and then opened up its arms as if it was asking me for a hug or wanting to bear hug me/

/<Beep!!> I heard, a beeping sound could be heard throughout the whole entire area I was in and it snapped me out of my fear and it seemed to distract the beast *This is my chance I have to run now!!* I thought as I then shoved the beast back making it fall to the ground as I ran away in the opposite direction and after making some great distance I saw a blue door and I ran towards it *This has got to be it, it has to be the way out!! This has got to be the exit!!* I cried out loud and I began hearing a voice behind me that began calling out to me "`Minoru~🎵... Come on back here`" I then stopped and took a second to process what I had just heard *Is that... it is... that's my voice... I'm calling out to myself!?* I stopped right infront of the door I tried ignoring it but just like a second ago "`Minoru~🎵... You can't run or hide~... so why don't you come back to me~... I can help you, I can make you stronger~`" *What the hell is going on!! How am I hearing myself calling out to me?? Should I turn around and listen to them-, me-, it!?* I thought and then I heard an echo of someone yelling out to me ["MINETA!! WAKE UP MINETA!! C'MON GET UP YOU CANT DIE!!"]/

/At that moment I didn't know what to say or if I should've turned around or not but I chose to ignore it and I opened the door but before I could walk through the other me spoke again "`Minoru it seems you won't listen to me, how unfortunate well then~ if you don't mind I would like to tell you something so if you could just wait a little while longer hehehe`" I decided to wait and turn around to see the other me that was talking to me to see if it really was me or if I was just going crazy ^Ngl this situation is entirely crazy bs that I don't believe people would believe or entertain the thought of it but aye that's just me though^. When I looked at the other me, he looked very different he had the same hair as the beast that was I was running from and was about the same height as the beast but he was more human like, had the same hair as the beast and he also had the beasts horns on his head but his were shorter, just short enough that his hair could hide them but were still visible if anyone cared to look long enough "`Minoru~... you aren't like other people... let alone the other students at UA... you're not normal... I simply wanted to help you but you refused, so know this... the people you consider to be your "friends", "companions" and "heroes" will all turn on you soon... if you're not careful you will die by the hands of those you have decided to put you're trust in... that is all I wanted to tell you... but just know that I will be watching you and I will take your place if need be`" he then turned around and walked away./

I turned back to face the door and a bright light shone through as I then walked through the door and all I saw was a bright white light before I opened my eyes and that light then slowly turned yellow and then right after I narrowed my eyes, reducing some tunnel vision I had and I saw a ceiling light that hurt my eyes a little so I narrowed them and turned my head to the side to see a doctor off by the side next to some machines writing something on a clipboard before he realized I was awake.

The doctor in question who noticed I was awake, placed his clipboard down on a near by table and walked closer to the bedside and stopped right next to my bedside "Huh? Where... where am I?" I asked in a weak, dry voice as the Doctor then held his hand out and took his classes off, before he placed them back on, took a hold of my head, examined it at different angles, and then let go "Remarkable this is the first time that this has ever happened in my 27 years of being a medical practitioner" said the doctor, his words had me puzzled at what he was talking about *Wait a second is this man... a doctor? Am I currently in the hospital? I was just in my dorm room though so why am I in the hospital.* I thought to myself as I drifted off into thought I got snapped back to my senses by the doctor who then pulled the covers on me to the side to inspect my body "Incredible what in the world is this phenomena? I must report this to the Japan Medical Association as soon as possible but I will need to examine you young man extensively to find the reason for this sudden change" said the doctor outloud *So I am in the hospital but what happened? My memory is so fuzzy and it hurts to try and remember all the details but what I can remember is that I was in bed and sick, then Denki and Sero came to check up on me before they left for class as I was too sick to go to class but after that I don't remember*

The doctor then tapped me on the shoulder to grab my attention and he looked at me with a straight face "Excuse me mr. Minoru, I am doctor Goda Kenji and I am the doctor that's been treating you ever since you arrived at this medical ward" the doctor said confirming to me that I was indeed in the hospital "Hey doc might I ask why am I in the medical word, how I was brought here in the first place and how long I've been here?" I asked the doctor at my side who then took his classes and put them back on he then adjusted his classes before speaking "Well sir you're here because you had fallen unconscious and were in a near unbelievable condition, you were in such bad shape that you would have lost your life if you did not woken up anytime soon" the doctor said before he went to the corner of the room, grabbed a chair and sat next to my bedside facing me "To answer your second question you were brought here by helicopter as your life was hanging by a thread and you needed immediate care and to answer your last question you've been here for quite some time" the doctor said which then peaked my interest a little "How long specifically was I unconscious for doctor?" The doctor then turned his eyes over to the side and turned his attention back to me as he then spoke again "Well you have been unconscious and here in the medical ward for quite a while as I've said but to be 100% honest with you is that you have been here for at most 3 weeks and 2 days it was a considerable amount of time and your poor health made it difficult to figure out what was wrong with you and made some of the staff believe we should've written you off as in a coma."

He then stood up, walked to some of the machinery and looked at the machines and the screens to see if they were working properly "And as for how you arrived here is a little disturbing, you see one of your classmates said that they went to check up on you after class, they stopped infront of your dorm door and knocked but you hadn't answered so they assumed you were sleeping and so no one disturbed you until the next morning before class when they realized you hadn't eaten dinner the past night and they left you food by your door, after class they came back to check on you and saw that the breakfast that they had left for you was still sitting outside the door untouched and they then got worried and went to go tell their teacher" the doctor said as he then came back and sat on the chair.

"After that your homeroom teacher apparently came to check up on you with some other students that came to see what the commotion was about, the homeroom teacher used an extra key to unlock your door and they saw a horrible sight, you were laying down on the ground, passed out covered by blankets that covered your unconscious body laying down in a pool of blood coming from your mouth and nose that had been soaked up by the carpet while some blood was still flowing out of you, they then quickly rushed you here to the hospital medical ward but you had lost a lot of blood and needed treatment that being a blood transfusion but even after getting blood from one of your parents the chances of you surviving were extremely low as your Biological- and Genetic Make-Up had undergone drastic and indescribable changes after receiving the the blood you had lost, it was as if your body was changing to better fit something within you that was to much for your original body to handle and therefore your body must've been creating new cells non-stop to replace the old ones and those newer ones were used to reconstruct your body for the past few weeks to rebuild your body and I must say that It.Is.Abosolutely.Fasinating!!" He said as he explained the rest of what happened to me *Huh? I was unconscious for 3 weeks? But I was just in my dorm room sick and after that I was... on the floor? So I did fall unconscious. And the doctor just said my that Genetic- and Biological make-up changed? But there's no way that something like that could've happened especially while I was unconscious... right?* I thought as I sat up, closed my eyes and crossed my arms and squinted my eyelids hard trying to think of what to make of the whole situation.

I then opened my eyes and looked at the doctor "I'm sorry sir but how and what in particular about my body changed exactly? I would like to get an idea of what I look like now as I might have a feeling as to what happened to change my physical appearance" I said to the curious doctor who kept looking at me from different angles "Oh well I can't exactly explain what changed as your body kept changing daily so it was hard to keep track of what changes your body was going through but I think it would be better if you saw for yourself in a mirror, do you see that door over there on the otherside of the room? That door leads to the wash room where we doctors go in to wash our hands and sanitize ourselves before and after we do any type of surgery or anything relating to our work you can go and use that mirror, now that you're awake I have some paper work to fill out and other patients to go and tend to I'll be back to check up on you momentarily" the doctor said as he stood up from his chair and walked out of the room.

I stood up put on some slippers that were on the ground these slippers are normally reserved for patients when they want to walk around and stretch their legs, I then walked to the sanitation room and before opening the door I got light headed and nearly fell over but I caught myself with the door handle and opened the door I then went up and stood infront of the mirror and noticed big changes that happened to my body, I had gotten extremely taller I went from 3'6ft to about 5'6ft and the purple orbs that were normally on my head were gone and replaced by slick, fluffy, purple hair with the tips of my hair being a light pigment of purple and would get darker and darker as it went down to the base of my scalp.

After looking at myself in the mirror to see what about my body changed I left the sanitation room and went back to sit on the hospital bed I was on before as the doctor came back in the room and sat down on the chair next to the bed "Please young man you must relax you've just regained conscienceness after all rest will help your body rejuvenate and adapt to these sudden changes your body has gone through so why don't you lay down and rest up" he said before taking his clipboard and writing notes on it as I layed down on the bed "While you rest i will go and inform the your parents and your teacher that you've regained conscienceness and are currently resting, they will be able to visit you tomorrow" he said once again before I drifted off into a deep sleep...

• 4 Hours Later

I woke up to see that I was still in the cold hospital room I was admitted into and I layed down on the bed for 4 minutes before the doctor walked in and I then set up straight "Oh it seems you're awake now good, well young man I had informed your parents that you regained conscienceness and they were thrilled but they had said that their work was preventing them from coming over to come and visit you" he said as he came closer and started checking the machines by the bedside to see if they were working properly *Mom and Dad have always been very busy so it is no real surprise that they couldn't come and visit me* I thought looking at the bedsheets "And I had also informed your teacher and principal that you made a successful recovery and they must have informed your friends and classmates as not to long ago 5 students had come over to see you would you mind if I sent them in?" the doctor said as he walked away from my bed side and towards the door "Honestly I don't mind at all seeing some friends but... all I want to do right now rest up I'll see them tomorrow" I said as I turned to face the wall and went to sleep before I heard the door open, the sound of footsteps and the door closing again.
