Kabuto

Perhaps she should've observed the place from the outside more instead of straight away trying to infiltrate. She supposed it was too late to regret her actions now.

Dodging a senbon thrown at her with terrifying accuracy, she looked at her opponent in a new light. She might as well make use of this situation.

'Do not waste energy.'

Her every move had to be precise. She had to guard herself while attacking. Kabuto was slippery as well so she would have to make sure to always be a step ahead of him.

She would not be using any skills she has not completely mastered.

'Stick to the basics.'

Taking in a breath, she focused her chakra to attack and left Matatabi's chakra to defend and heal. It was easy to focus on one thing rather than focusing on many things at once. Usually she would keep her kunai coated with chakra so that when it would cut through something, the wound would be deep, but that would be wasting her chakra. She would coat the kunai only when she was close to attacking the enemy.

Making hand signs for a jutsu would be a waste of time for her right now since Kabuto could likely recognize her jutsu and prevent it while she was making the hand signs. So she would have only two jutsu she could use without hand signs; the substitution jutsu and the water bullet jutsu. She would have to mostly depend on her taijutsu and bukijutsu.

Substituting with a leaf when Kabuto thought he had managed to corner her, she used her kunai to stab him from the behind. The kunai she used this time was different from the ones she had used before, this one was coated in poison.

She tried to kick him on the face but he easily guarded with his hands and was going to use the moment to attack her.

'Water bullet.'

Shooting out a water bullet, she had made it's speed higher than normal so if it hit him he would likely be getting a lot of injuries, she watched him fly backwards due to the attack before she realized he had still managed to attack her.

"Tch."-Veronica

She made a shadow clone to distract him while she ran behind him to catch him off guard.

Kabuto saw a cloud of smoke form around Veronica and understood that it must've been a shadow clone. Her plan did work however, when she was about to attack him, he pulled out a kunai to defend against hers and the two were now at a standstill. They were waiting for the other to strike while also making plans to kill each other.

Kabuto got in a defensive stance when he saw Veronica smirk slightly. He enhanced his senses to help him out and his eyes widened when he realized that he had fallen in her trap.

He had thought that the shadow clone was gone because of the smoke and failed to notice it's presence hadn't faded at all. It was still there.

He turned around to defend against the clone's attacks and knew that he was going to die. He had shown his back to the enemy, and Veronica could attack at any moment. His life was entirely in her hands.

The sharp senbon pierced through his heart easily with great precision and Kabuto's tense body slowly relaxed as he fell to the ground. His whole life was flashing before his eyes.

Veronica ignored him and let Matatabi's chakra heal her before tensing again. She had not taken into account that the sanin would come out himself to see what the spectacle was about. According the information from her previous clone, he would be too busy cutting open a new subject he had found.

A/n: Hello everyone, I have a few things I would like you all to know. Firstly, thank you so much for reading this fanfiction. I never thought a small draft like this would be appreciated by so many people.

Secondly, I think that I may have to drop this fanfiction. It has been an amazing journey and I've gained much experience from writing this however, it has been getting harder and harder to write this. I have tried taking breaks to see if it would help me get my motivation back however, I have been unsuccessful so far. I may write a few more chapters or drop it completely after this.

Once again, thank you all so much for your support. I will try and see if I can give it a proper ending however, I advise you all to not get your hopes up.

[Fun fact: Karasu, Veronica's clone, was an idea I got from 'The God of Highschool'. Although I never really gave as much development and personality to Karasu as was given to Mori Hui.]
