43 It will never stay the same [Part-43]

Tobirama and Matatabi, she imagined, probably had smirks on their faces as they watched her team get traumatized by Anko.

At first, they were just walking in the training grounds, if you ignored all the various screams from different animals in the background, and stumbled across a fairly big tree. As soon as they passed by, under it, bugs began to fall out on them. Veronica had immediately stood near Anko at that and tried to get the bugs off of her.

Tanaka was about to run to Ohta but seeing his own bugs on him as well as the tree's bugs, he ran straight into Anko.

She sent him flying straight into the dreaded tree. But, it seemed as though luck was not on their side as they finally noticed the snakes which resided in the tree as well. Ura and Anko laughed together as they saw how the three genins ran around like chickens.

They eventually moved forward while Veronica and Tanaka stuck close together wondering what else might happen.

"Alright, we'll set up a camp around here for practice, Anko and I will gather some meat and you guys will set up our base and get some plants and herbs."-Ura

Veronica could've sworn she saw him smirk before he left which seemed to have scared her even more.

"I'm going to go and gather some twigs and leaves for the fire."-Ohta

His voice was calm and Veronica and Tanaka could only envy at how well he was playing 'the cool guy' act.

"I-I'm going to go check for edible plants with Veronica then..."-Tanaka

"Sure..."-Veronica

Tanaka and Veronica ventured about the forest and collected whatever they thought they would need while searching for food.

Veronica also brought out her fruits from her storage seal as well as the water. All in all, they had accidently ended up collecting snakes, birds and some edible plants. Which was enough to last them all three days.

"What the fuck?!!!"-Ohta

He was shocked at the different animals thrown at his feet along with several plants, which even some seasoned shinobi would've avoided eating because of how much tricky it was to hunt some of them.

[You were able to get an Aburame to break character!!!]-Matatabi

She seemed to be having the time of her life, laughing at Ohta's expression, even though she couldn't see half of his face.

[I don't blame him.]-Tobirama

'Well... All that studying paid off I guess.'

There were 10 snakes, 15 birds and it was a hay stack full off edible plant. Tanaka and Veronica had sparkles and flowers around them as they heard what Ohta said.

[You're becoming a crackhead these days.]-Matatabi

'I-

Shut up.'

[Ha, maybe if you could've said that to your 'big sisters' killer back then, it would've helped.]-Matatabi

Although Veronica had gotten over her sister's death, along with hers, she still had a sour spot for it. Matatabi seemed to be taking full advantage of it though.

'Maybe if you weren't such a bitch, you would've chosen to stick with your siblings and not get trapped like a rat every time you're set free.'

[Look at you, starting to grow up.]-Matatabi

Tobirama sighed at how insensitive the two were. Even though he'd tried again and again, it seemed that these would never learn to not bad mouth each other by using their traumatic experiences. He just hoped that they wouldn't get in trouble after he was gone.

Veronica and the others started out a fire soon enough. They didn't know when their teachers would be back, so they roasted their own food and left some for them.

Hours passed by and the Genin were now starting to get nervous.

'They abandoned us, didn't they? They abandoned us in the middle of a forest.

They. F**king. Abandoned. Us. In. The. Forest. Of. Death. F**k my life.'

[Language.]-Tobirama

Sighing, Veronica picked up her notebook. She had made this notebook with a lot of the advice she had gotten from the shinobi around her. She had also written out some of the advice about pranks from Naruto as well. It was a small green and black journal, she'd kept hidden in the back side of her shirt.

The notes inside were written in Hindi. She wasn't particularly good at it but she guessed it would be fine. In the first half of the book, medical ninjutsu, fuinjutsu, and some experiments she had tried, were written down. In the second half, she had cut off a lot of the pages and turned the back cover of it into a small chalk board. It was much easier and efficient to just write their and then erase rather than to keep wasting pages.

[A/n: Btw, by medical ninjutsu and fuinjutsu, I meant she only wrote down tips and pointers.]

"Yea..."-Ohta and Tanaka

They all sighed together and moved towards a nearby stream. They had enough food for dinner so they didn't need to worry about that.

"Why don't we just go back out now?"-Tanaka

"Because it took us an hour to get here and that was with our teachers. If we go on our own, we will take much more time than them and by then it would get dark which would make us easy targets, so we stay here."-Ohta

The three had depressed lines on top of them as they could only sigh again at their misfortune. They had never expected to be stuck in a place like this when they had just graduated. Their teacher was certainly a... unique one.

Suddenly a giant snake was coming their way. They just looked at it and nodded at each other.

"Fire release: Fir bullet 'Blaze'!"-Ohta and Tanaka

'Blaze.'

[Wow, you sure are bland.]-Matatabi

'I thought I was a crackhead?'

[I take it back.]-Matatabi

Veronica laid down on the grass and a snake came slithering up her shoulder. She didn't move, as she knew that it would immediately bite her if she did. However, the snake looked absolutely adorable to her.

'Fuck it. I have a whole ass tailed beast inside me, she'll be able to heal me.'

Reaching out, she moved slowly to pet him. He bit her but after a while he wrapped himself around her neck.

The two boys stared at her and the three made eye contact. They all blinked, and then went back to procrastinating.

The rest of their time was peaceful if you ignore the constant attacks they went through and how they almost died 3 times.

"Finally..."-Tanaka

"I'm going to go home and freshen up-" -Ohta

He was about to leave when Ura shunshin-ed in front of them.

"Oh, you guys made it!"-Ura

Ura ignored all the glares sent his way and gave them a big smile.

"Well, you all have a day off. Good job, by the way. You even managed to head off the wrong way and make it to the tower and crossed the deepest parts of forest and came back alive.

Luckily, most of the bigger monsters didn't notice you because you were all so dirty and looked absolutely weak and pathetic."-Ura

The three Genin looked down at the mention of them going the opposite way than they were supposed to and blushed in embarrassment. They all collectively chose to ignore that they were called weak and pathetic by their newly appointed teacher.

"Yea, you brats are probably the only Genin, who just graduated, to be able to do that."-Anko

They brightened up at that and headed home, ignoring their teacher who was calling out to them.

"Ouch..."-Ura

"Ahahaha!!! I don't blame them! You're a fucking sadistic bastard!"-Anko

"Like you're one to talk."-Ura

"WHAT DID YOU FUCKING SAY?!"-Anko

"Nothing..."-Ura

Ura quickly teleported away from her and looked at Kakashi who was standing at his home's doorway. He frowned at him and Ura knew that he probably shouldn't have let Veronica get hurt that badly. He did not want to face the wrath of the copy ninja.

However, much to his relief, Kakashi just glared at him and went in the house.

"I'm home."-Kakashi

"Welcome back..."-Veronica

"*Sigh* What did he do this time?"-Kakashi

Veronica looked up and they both sighed at how they'll be eating ramen tonight. It was clear that they both had a very long and tiring day.

"Sasuke and Naruto got in a fight again. Sakura hit Naruto and he got depressed. Sakura fangirled over Sasuke. And Sasuke picked a fight with Naruto and got annoyed by Sakura. Basically, Sasuke vs. Sakura [Only one sided ofc] and Naruto vs. Sasuke and Sakura vs. Naruto [Again, kind of one sided]

Maybe if SOMEBODY didn't bother to let Sakura learn diplomatic speaking then maybe she wouldn't have threatened people in high ranking positions to behave like... proper humans and make my life harder."-Kakashi

Matatabi added her own remark after hearing this from Kakashi.

[Ah. Typical.]-Matatabi

'I know right.'

He seemed to asking why she had even thought of doing this. Sasuke and Naruto were quite dumb even if they were strong, sort of, so Kakashi thought he could live easily. But then Sakura decided to threaten the Hokage into giving them a C-rank mission.

<Well, Ura-sensei left us in the forest of death for a day.>

"Ah..."-Kakashi

They both looked at each other and sighed. They were quite done with their teams already and it hadn't even been a week.

They ate their bowls of ramen and went up to get some sleep.

It was a fairly bright day. The birds were awake and their chirping had already started.

The brown haired woman stretched as she slowly got up and noticed how it was already 11:56am. She guessed that the exhaustion from taking all those missions had finally caught up to her.

'Tomorrow's the big day, isn't it?'

She smiled as she quickly got up and freshened up. Getting started on the breakfast, she was careful with everything she did.

This was a special lunch for her friend after all.

"Almost forgot to put the poison in."-???

She quickly added in the liquid and packed it up. Soon enough she would be done with this mission and could return back.

Putting on her 'friendly smile', she got out and went towards a well maintained and newly constructed house. It stuck out from the remaining places however, nobody seemed to be bothered by it. Everyone always seemed to smile when they looked at it. Knocking on the door, she was greeted with the same smile she'd seen for the past month. As always, the woman would invite her in while holding her baby.

"Kakashi's been waiting really eagerly for you. He cried so much when you left the other day, we almost ran over to your house!"

They both laughed and talked about how cute the baby looked. After some time, they went out in the fields for lunch. It had become a routine ever since this peace like time was achieved. They knew it wouldn't last long but they wanted to enjoy it.

Unfortunately, it would be the last time she ever got to smile like that.

Sakumo had returned that day to find his wife dead.

"We're sorry, she had been suffering from the disease for a month and although there was hope... She couldn't make it."

The doctor patted the man on the shoulder and walked over to his next patient. The woman, the killer, stood right beside him. Tears leaking from her eyes as she held Kakashi.

Nobody saw her cold and amused eyes that day.

Standing in front of her 'friends' grave, she silently prayed and left the flowers. Nobody had ever seen her ever again.

"Don't worry, nobody would ever know of what happened."

Saki, turned back once to glance at the grave before sighing and finishing her report. The cat beside her hissed as if giving her a response before moving out of her sight. She guessed it went back to report to her employer.

"Future sight my ass. F*cking bastard. Making me do all of his dirty work."

She grumbled out some more cuss words at the man.

She knew that she couldn't do anything but this against him anyways. There was absolutely no way for her to retaliate against him and his wishes.

'If only he didn't have the damn Mokuton.'
