2 ~Agnes~

Lavender and the gang stay at mine for a few hours for some shots and pizza. My heart aches for Lavender, having to raise a baby by herself again. I know for a fact she won't abort it, no matter how much she wants to. This is a pretty conservative neighborhood. You still get people who won't wear masks. I really shouldn't moan about it, I forget mine all the time.

Lavender's streaming on her phone. Wish she would put the goddamn brushes down and pay attention to us. Now she's told the world she's single, she's relying on strangers to send her money. I think she should work with me so my superiors can creep on somebody else for a chance.

"Agnes!" Bethany howls with laughter. "What are you doing with your ice cream!"

Ivy hushes. "You know Lavender gets mad when we make too much noise when she's streaming."

Bethany shrugs her shoulders and takes her top and bra off. How Lavender doesn't see it behind the mirror alarms me.

"Hi!" I shout. Oh my God...this is awkward. "If any of you wonder why I'm putting ketchup on my ice-cream, it's because it's too sweet."

"And cause she's mad!" Bethany puts her clothes back on.

"Sorry guys," Lavender says, "I have weird friends."

Ivy says nothing, she's used to our methods of madness.

What they don't know is that Christian is coming over to my house, he says he might bring his brothers down. Lavender never mentioned his brothers before. I think it's for the best I don't say anything because Lavender would lose it.

"Thank you so much guys!" Lavender squeals, blowing kisses through her camera. A part of me tenses up. She's borrows money off us all the time and never pays us back. What pisses me off is that she ain't broke. She's got saving accounts galore. If you walk into her house, it's like a massive beauty salon.

My place might not be a castle, but at least it's clean and I use every room in my house. I swear I'm not jealous, I just wish I didn't feel so lonely all the time.

Christian coming over will be a nice change. I'm interested in his side of the story. I know they argue a lot, but I feel sorry for him. With a bit of luck, Christian will have way more money in his pocket and I can sweep my chance with him.

My fingertips rustle against the screen. He texts: Hey! How are you?"

Lifting my phone above my head, I take a selfie and squish my arms together to make sure the cleavage is in. My right thumb is up at the level of my lips. Just the thought of Christian sending me a selfie back makes me tingle.

Lavender closes the stream the moment her PayPal account hits $50,000. She gets more in a few hours then I ever will in a lifetime. I think the only reason we tolerate her is because it gives us exposure for our own endeavours. Biting my lip, my arms flop to my side as my phone slips onto the couch.

We've known each other since we were in diapers. At school, we were inseparable. What happened to the old days when we actually laughed and celebrated each other's successes. I feel more excitement spending Monday to Friday in an office full of perverts. How did it all come to this. Everything we do together nowadays is a chore since most of usall achieved our ultimate goals. All four of us are talented bloggers in our right. Lavender has her beauty empire and Ivy has her college degree, and I got my own house. Bethany might not have her baby yet, but she's still a superstar.

When everyone leaves, the glamorous facade will fade. I'll swap the chart playlist to vintage indie tracks from the previous millennium. When Christian comes to my house, he will see nothing but me. I want him to love me for me and not because I'm Lavender's friend.
