4 Chapter Four

The next morning you wake early to make it to the studio for dance practice. You finally got to dance back up for one of their hit songs and you didn't want to be late for the last day of practice before the tour started. Rushing out the door you snag your workout bag and jump on your bike.

"Y/N you made it!" Jimin yells as you walk in the door.

"Chim Chim!" You laugh. Quickly you begin to stretch at the back of the room.

Over the next three hours, you dance through the song over, and over, and over again.

"That's a wrap." The lead dancer yells through the room.

Slowly you walk to where your bag is in the corner of the room, bending down you snag a bottle of water and open it.

"Um… Y/N?" ShiMin starts talking to you while you're drinking, "Did you notice Jin came to watch today?"

Startled you choke. Coughing you ask, "What?"

"Yeah, he sat in that corner," she points to the opposite corner in the back of the room, but he's no longer there, "I think he may have been watching you the whole time."

"Nah. He was probably watching Jimin." You wave her off, as you pack your stuff back up.

"I don't know. He looked pretty intense." Her brows furrow.

"Nah." You wave the topic away again. "Hey, are you packed for the tour yet?"

"Not yet." ShiMin huffs as she grabs her bag. "You want to come help me pack tonight?" She asks as you both head out the door of the practice room.

"Can we talk?" Jin's voice catches you off guard.

Looking over you see him standing against the wall just to the side of the door. "Um," you hesitate looking between him and ShiMin, "I guess." You follow him as he walks down the corridor. His muscles are tense as he walks in front of you and you being to twist the strap of your bag nervously. "Everything okay?"

He shrugs before gesturing for you to follow him into a conference room. Once you enter he locks the door behind you and turns to face you. "I think we should stop hooking up." His voice toneless as he folds his arms over his chest.

You blink, not wanting to believe it, "Oh…" you take a breath, "Ok." You feel your heart sink in disappointment.

"Really? That's it?" Jin puffs, his eyes wide.

Truthfully, that wasn't 'it' but you weren't going to be nosey about it. You simply figured he'd found another girl and didn't want to be fuck buddies anymore. It made sense, a lot of girls were chasing after Jin, and with a face like his, you could see why. Jin's features were perfection, and if you had more courage you would chase him yourself. "Yeah, that's it," you say. "Why? Is there something you want to tell me?"

His mouth drops open and then he closes it again, you can see him thinking it over, "I… I don't know. I guess I just thought you'd have more of a reaction than that." He turns from you, leaning against the wall, "I can't do it anymore."

You sigh, "We can still be friends. We're just taking the benefits out."

"Er, yeah." He murmurs, running a hand through his hair. "It didn't mean anything." The last coming out as a whisper, just before he storms out the door.

Startled by his behavior you drop into the nearest chair. Your mind going over the encounters you'd had with Jin so far. Had there been something else there? Did he mean something else? Shaking your head you stand and leave the building. Texting ShiMin as you sit on the train to ask her what time to meet at her place. You pop your earphone in and lean back, letting your playlist wash over you.

It's weeks later when the boys invite all the dancers into their suite for a celebratory round after the first set of concerts finished. You enter the room slowly, dragging your feet behind ShiMin as she bounces across the threshold. Flicking your eyes around the room, you notice Jin slumped in the corner of the long sectional, a glass bottle rolling between his fingers. You feel your heart squeeze at the melancholy pull of his lips. Taking a seat at the small counter top in the other corner of the room, you spend the rest of the evening watching him. He doesn't make his regular jokes, and only half attempts to laugh with the others. A few hours go by and it's not until you realize that you are the last one there, beside the group members.

"Hey, I'm heading to bed," Hobi says, patting Jin on the shoulder before the others look over at you and then chime in with their own excuses for leaving.

Then it's just the two of you and you can see him tense as he sees you out of the corner of his eye. Slowly, you stand and walk toward him. "Hey." Your voice is small when you finally speak, just as you reach his side.

Jin lifts a hand, but doesn't look at you.

Taking a deep breath you sit, right in the middle of his lap, "Hey." You peer into his wide eyes, cupping one of his cheeks. Nervously you bite one of your lips before you decide to just say what you'd been wanting to say since you'd made it to ShiMin's house that night. "Did you mean you wanted to be more than friends?" His eyes dart between yours, but he doesn't say anything. "When you said you didn't want to hook up anymore. Did you mean you wanted me to be your girlfriend?"

Suddenly it's as if a light comes on behind his eyes, "Are you saying you would have said yes?"

Your tongue darts out, swiping across your bottom lip, "I'm saying yes now."

Jin's lips crash against yours as he claims you as his.
