1 Say what??!

I kept my books of the last lectures in the bag and left the class. I came out of the gate and saw Varsha, my classmate. She looked at me and started walking towards me.

Umm....okay! She never talks to me a lot except for notes.

"So, how are the preparations going?" she asked.

Preparations? Of what?

"Of what?" I said in a confused tone.

She gave me a surprised look and said

"Oh...I...I'll see you later! Bye!"

Weird....

I threw my bag on the couch and myself with it!

"UGH! I am so tired!" I yelled in frustration. I have a lot to do!

Ammi (mother) came out from somewhere and smiled at me

"How is my Shagu doing?" she asked while pinching my cheeks.

"Horrible!"

"What?! Why?" she chuckled a little.

"I have so much home work to do, I have a state level competition coming up, math's test and a ton of homework!"

"Oh! Wait, what's that thing on your uniform!" she pointed at my silver Monitor badge.

"Uh I forgot, I was appointed the monitor of the class today."

She just shook her head because it was too common now.

I got up and headed towards my room which was upstairs. We live in a small bungalow which has 4 rooms, a garden and a small pool which was never used. Our house always felt empty because there were only 4 people living in it. Me, Ammi, Abba (father) who was always at work whether it's home or office and Coco, my fluffy little cat! Coco was always in my room.

I opened my door and saw Coco lying on the soft bed like always. My bedroom had a white and blackish, bold look which I, myself had decorated when I was 15. It had a beautiful classic light blub hanging on the ceiling, 2 different mats were below the white bed. I had a couple of black and white cushions on it and 2 hanging flower pots in the corner, near the window. There were awards and certificates up on the shelf's neatly kept.

"How's my coco?" I picked her up and asked.

After playing with Coco for a while, I took a hot bath and changed into a loose t-shirt and pajama, dried my hair and made a loose bun. I pulled my chair, opened my Math's book to do a quick revision for tomorrows test.

"Shagufta!" I heard my Abba yell from downstairs. I moved my butt from the chair which was kept for 2 hours now!

"UGH!" I stretched and left my room.

As soon as I was down, I saw him standing with a box of sweets in his hands and Ammi besides him. She looked sad for some reason.

Ummmmm........okay!

Wait, did they know that I bunked one lecture 2 years ago or did Karan tell him that I scored 80% and didn't tell them?

Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit.................

"Umm.....yes Abba!" I hesitated.

He looked at me and smiled.

I barely see him smile that means I am dead!

SHIT!

But little did I know, that minute of my life was going to get me into a lot of trouble!

"SAY WHAT??!" I yelled.
