No Longer Updating

(There is extremely minimal romance in this story.) Princess Merium grew up in a cold, lonely castle. Her mother and father paid for the very best in tutors and nannies for her education, readying her, as their firstborn, to take over the throne when they could no longer. Merium doubts they expected to be assassinated, however. Blindsided at 17 by her parent's murder, Merium must take the throne on her 18th birthday, and regain the confidence of her country. Will she rule long and successful, or will she end up as the Queen of a pile of ash and stone?
