160 The Miriam Bandit Group

Emile didn't trust the man with a Space Gem since he could teleport somewhere far away; never to be seen again. Emile thought of ways to move Absolute Zero to White Star City. He couldn't think of anything so he decided to ask the party.

Emile asked the party to help him find anything that would cause someone to only teleport to one location. Space Gems allowed people to travel to places they visited before. Emile couldn't trust Absolute Zero to teleport to White Star City, so he needed to figure out how to teleport him to the city.

The party did quick research by going on the forums and found out that there were one-way crystals that would teleport the person to only one location, but it cost one gold coin. These one-way crystals were the fastest method to travel somewhere other than Space Gems. It wasn't cost effective.

The party was busy with their own quest, so they told Emile to find someone else to buy the item for him.

Emile asked his guild. He would pay the person back with an extra 50% of what they paid. So, he was giving them one gold coin and 500 silver coins. he couldn't purchase the item for himself since he was in the middle of nowhere.

Emile made small talk with Absolute Zero as he waited for someone to accomplish the task. One player from the guild bought the item and messaged Emile.

"Hey Guild Leader, I got the thing you wanted. Can I meet you someday in the game?"

"If you show up whenever we call you guys for something, then you can see me and talk," Emile said. He sent a trade request.

The man accepted and added the item. Emile added the one gold coin and 500 silver coins. They both gained the items they wanted.

"Thanks for the coins!"

"No problem and thanks for the crystal," Emile said. Emile closed the message log and checked his inventory for the crystal.

Emile identified the crystal.

Teleportation Crystal

A crystal that only teleports you to one location. This crystal is bound to White Star City.

10 seconds to activate the crystal.

Something bound the crystal to the location wherever someone bought it from. Here, it was White Star City.

Emile gave the man the teleportation crystal which only had one function. Emile told the man to activate it.

Absolute Zero used the item to teleport to White Star City. Emile used his Space Gem to teleport to the city as well. Emile and Absolute Zero were now at the teleporter. He brought Absolute Zero to the guards and let them deal with him. Afterward, he received the rewards from the quest.

Emile completed the quest, and the system gave him the title which was the reward for the quest.

[You have gained the title Duo City Protector (Tier 1 City)]

Emile identified the title.

Title: Duo City Protector (Tier 1 City)

Given to a person who saved two cities from outside attacks/threats/etc.

One time: Any ally within 10 feet of you will get 500 fame. You will get 5,000 fame.

Skills: {Mage'a Zinora}

Mage'a Zinora

A nature spell that protects the user by summoning a barrier made of the wildlife. The barrier can protect against most enemies level 20 and below.

One day cooldown

The skill would be useful for him until he reached level 20. Emile noticed the "Tier 1 City" next to Duo City Protector and put in parenthesis which made him assume that the same title existed for a Tier 2 City or a Tier 3 City.

Saving a large region of land would be hard to accomplish since anyone who had the power to attack a Tier 3 City were few and far in between, and it would require a lot of strength and manpower.

Facing the Dark Ones wouldn't be a one-man operation. They required stealth for the first part. Other than that they had nothing else to go off of other than the fact that they had level 20 people in the base.

"Well, guys. How long will it take for you to complete the quest?" Emile asked. he wanted their support during the takeover.

"I don't know. You could join and help us whenever you have free time," FBS Fulcron said.

"All right," Emile said. He had to stall the takeover of the Dark Ones for however long they needed. FBS Fulcron sent Emile the quest.

[Wanted Quest: Miriam's Group of Bandits]

[Objective: Find and capture Miriam's group of bandits.]

[Comment: Figure out their patterns of robbing and go from there.]

[Difficulty: A]

[Progress: Information Gathered]

[Time Limit: None]

[Penalty: None]

[Reward: Four Rare items and One Red Silver item]

The rewards were what they told him. he could see their progress on the quest since they shared the quest with Emile.

They already gathered all the information they needed. Now they needed to track down the bandit group before they could complete the quest.

"Where are you guys?" Emile asked after looking over the quest.

"I'm at the library like always," Scarlet Sunset said.

Flower Queen spoke after Scarlet Sunset.

"Well, we're all at the library. We found lots of information about the bandit group. It's not the normal bandit group that roams around and keeps their location hidden. They have their own base available to the public. The only downside is that they're very strong which is why no one stopped their terror. They're all level 16-18 with rare ranked equipment. Killing them will drop equipment, but they work as a group so killing them will take lots of effort."

"Do they only rob people?" Emile asked.

"As far as I'm aware, they have the capabilities to rob an animal," Flower Queen said.

"You know what I mean. I'm asking if they do more than just rob people. Do they like to kill or something else?" Emile asked.

"Oh, of course, they kill. Most bandit groups kill and there's no true way to stop them. I've read they raped multiple young women as well, which is terrifying to think about," Flower Queen said as she felt a shiver run up her spine.

"Yeah, I think we should stop them. We should get a move on soon. So where's their base?" Emile asked.

"There base is near Emporia City. It's a relatively small city when compared to other cities. Also, we heard they stole information from the Mage Guild which is why there's such a high bounty for them," Flower Queen said. She continued some other crimes that they might have committed, but there's no solid evidence to connect them.

Emile noticed a level difference in the other cities. White Star City has high-level people with the power to stop a group of level 20, the Dark Ones, from attacking the city. The other cities were much weaker than White Star City which allowed a group of level 16-18 to run rampant.

If the bandit group was near White Star City, then they would be annihilated by the adventurers or the city guards in a matter of a few days.

They set themselves up to be a near perfect bandit group, but their arrogance about revealing their location would cause them great losses.

Emile and the party were ready to cause them to suffer defeat. The party told Emile a bit more information that they suspected to be connected to the Miriam Group.

They were now prepared for the bandit group.
