72 Seeking for Quests

"Slow down, you'll get yourself killed," Emile yelled out.

"I was worried that you would let me go by myself," FBS Fulcron stopped and said.

"I'm not ready to go by myself. I thought we were a party, so we should go together," FBS Fulcron said without shame.

"And I thought you were a man," Scarlet Sunset stated.

"Does being a man have to do with fighting mobs by yourself; no, you work together with weaker individuals to support their journey," FBS Fulcron said.

"Let's see who the weak one is," Scarlet Sunset said.

"Whoever is at the bottom of the contribution list is the weakest individual," Scarlet Sunset continued.

A competitive atmosphere developed. Emile didn't know if this was a good thing. The parties efficiency increased again.

They could kill the alligators with ease.

A slash to the left. A wind blast from the right. Skies filled with fireballs. And a dead alligator.

Those were the sequence of events that occurred when they fought an alligator.

They had reached the center of the swamp. They annihilated all the alligators in the surrounding area.

"We need a better training ground. There are not enough mobs at this location." Flower Queen said.

Their efficiency was too fast for the respawn rates. They needed to find another place.

Time Walker, FBS Fulcron, and Scarlet Sunset tied at the bottom. The others were either a higher level or had certain extra damage multipliers. Nimble Rod dealt extra damage due to his passive ability.

"You guys have to come to the cities to get any good hunting grounds," Emile said.

"Duh... that's the goal, to reach level 10." Scarlet Sunset said.

"You and Flower Queen are the only people that can enter a city. The others will reach level 10 soon." Scarlet Sunset said.

"You two go look for quests or any challenging bosses since those give good experience and loot." Scarlet Sunset continued.

"Bosses aren't common. It takes a decent amount of luck to find one." Emile said.

"I think you have high luck. Use your luck." Scarlet Sunset said.

"You're so good at scolding. Keep going," FBS Fulcron added his insights.

"I'm not scolding; I'm giving suggestions," Scarlet Sunset said. She had a fiery temper.

"How am I supposed to use luck?" Emile asked.

"Ask the locals. They'll like you because of your luck. Ask about any monsters terrorizing the locations or destroying any objects. Then go to those locations and wait." Scarlet Sunset said.

"We could also look for daily quests," Flower Queen added on.

Players could do daily quests to get a few coins and experience. Most players think doing these quest is worth the hassle, but any top players know these quests can't help them.

They give a low amount of experience and isn't worth the time.

These players challenge higher leveled opponents for experience or challenged themselves to complete a difficult quest.

"You two should go do other quests since we don't get enough experience. You'll be able to complete a few quests or bosses with yourselves," Scarlet Sunset said.

"All right," Flower Queen said. She wanted to head to the city.

"Let's go," Emile spoke to Flower Queen. They had to head to the Village Chief's home to get her the ticket.

"You're back," the Village Chief said.

"Why are you back? The city has many more opportunities than this backwater land." He questioned.

"She's here to get her ticket," Emile said.

He turned his head to look at Flower Queen. The Village Chief understood that she had reached level 10. He identified here and gave her a normal ticket. This normal ticket gave

"Do you have 10 silver coins," Emile asked Flower Queen after they got the ticket.

"Teleport to White Star City if you do," Emile said.

"I'm not poor. I've been grinding for a long time." She rolled her eyes at him.

"Plus, even if I didn't have 10 silver coins, you would have given them to me," Flower Queen said. She laughed after saying this.

"That's true," Emile said while scratching his head.

"Let's head to the city," Flower Queen said. She took the lead and teleported to a random city. Emile used 10 silver coins and traveled to White Star City.

Emile now had 90 silver coins. He needs to earn a stock of silver coins. He can't travel between the city and village since it cost 10 silver coins. he didn't want to waste too many silver coins.

Emile needed a stable income. He thought of creating a shop which sells certain items, but he didn't know what to sell. He also didn't have any crafting recipes, so gaining a shop was a long-term plan.

Emile waited for Flower Queen. She soon materialized in front of his eyes.

"Let's go," Flower Queen said after analyzing here surroundings.

"Do you want to talk to the locals," Emile asked.

"I'll follow your plan. I don't know anything about this city." Flower Queen said.

"We'll go to the residential district and talk to the locals. We could also go to the adventure guild and take a few quests," Emile said.

They had many options in front of them.

"The adventure guild quests won't give any sequential quests. You do one mission and that's it. I'm pretty sure that's how it works, right?" Flower Queen questioned him.

"Not all. There are these challenge quests which require you complete the previous challenges," Emile said.

"All right, I'll follow what you want to do," Lily said.

"I was at the adventure guild, so let's go to the residential district and talk to the locals," Emile said.

They walked to the residential district and talked to the locals.

___

A lonely adventurer trekked around with caution. They were on a mountain range with level 20 mobs. This person was planning to be an assassin, so each step they made a minimal amount of noise.

They weren't on this mountain range to hunt mobs. This person was seeking for treasure. They scanned through high-level locations looking for good items or treasure chests. This came with risk.

Sometimes they get caught and die, but with enough caution, they can survive anything.

He pushed the vines away and spotted a small cave behind the vines. He stepped into the cave. Water droplets dropped from the ceiling.

Inside this cave was a small plant growing. The man identified the plant since it was the only object in the cave.

Silver Roots

A material used for crafting. It's a rare plant. Pick up with caution.

The assassin knew how to pick up these herbs. Their subclass in another game was a herb gatherer which taught them the ways to gather herbs. He dug underneath the ground and picked up the plant with the soil.

The man took out a bucket from their inventory and placed the soil and plant into the bucket. The man had many items that a normal player wouldn't need. Scenarios where they found goodies that came in different forms were common. From fairy water to rare plants that grow underwater.

Treasure hunting requires lots of tools.

The man placed the Silver Roots in his inventory. A good treasure hunter had connections to many sources. He had seen the post about the Silver Roots for 100 silver coins. The man messaged the anonymous poster.
