17 School Forums and Quest Rewards

The nutrients entered his body through small tubes. These tubes were attached to the Gaming Cabin.

Emile started to recite the chant.

As he went through the chant; his room became hotter and hotter.

A small red-colored fireball appeared in his hand. It glowed brightly before slowly dissipating away.

Creating the fireball required a lot of mental strength. He felt exhausted after creating one.

He decided to create a routine of activating his fireball at different times of the day.

Doing this would allow him to become better at using the fireball and improve his mental strength.

He would do it once in the morning and once before sleeping. Emile went to his classes and slept through them due to being too tired.

He slept at 2 in the morning and woke up at 7. His health would deteriorate if he slept this much each day.

Sleeping during lectures was a method to make up for his lack of sleep.

After his classes finished, some of his classmates created a Nirvana forum that was exclusive to their college.

They were going around and asking people if they played Nirvana. Like a door-to-door salesman if they still existed.

One of them came up to him.

"Hey Emile, sorry for bothering you, but do you play Nirvana," Gerard asked.

"Uhh... yeah," Emile responded.

Gerard took out his phone and sent Emile a link to their forums.

"You can talk about stuff, and compete about different things," he said.

"Josh is number 1 in the level rankings, for our school, he's level 3 with 58% of his experience bar filled, Nicole is number one on the fame rankings with 520 fame, these are the main rankings. Everyone competes for these rankings."

He was a very talkative person. He mentioned a few more rankings.

"There's the party experience ranking with the number one party having 344 experience. And also there are the PK leaderboards which show how many people you managed to kill without dying; right now it's Nathan," He continued.

"Nathan got eight kills. The unfortunate thing is that he died after he got the kills so lost his streak. The record stays up there even if they died, so he's kinda famous now," He wouldn't stop talking.

Emile was becoming impatient.

"Let me contin-"

"I got to go, sorry we can talk later," Emile interrupted his words and walked away.

Emile realized how talkative Gerard was and swore in his mind to never initiate a conversation with him.

Emile went back home and browsed the Nirvana forums to see if anyone made any progress on the story.

Every village had a different story. Emile decided to dig deeper to see if there were any connections.

He noticed that all the titles of the story mainly focused on three paths that were closely related.

The invasion route, which his village got, was the route where players would have to defend against mobs.

Then there was the natural disaster pathway which made the players protect their village from tsunamis, volcanoes, etc. They had to create forts, walls, etc. They gained experience for every natural disaster averted.

The third path was the path of attack. The village wanted to take over new territories so they would launch attacks on other places.

Even though there were clear paths, each path had many subsiding pathways depending on location and other factors.

Emile decided to sign into his school's forum. He set up his sign in to show his in-game account instead of who he was. He didn't want to be annoyed when he revealed that he was level 4.

It also auto-connected him to the leaderboards. The leaderboards had a dramatic change. He became number 1 in the level and fame leaderboards.

"What the fu*k, who the hell is Mystical Flame. Fu*k, he's hidden his identity. God damn it," Josh was mortified after finding out he was ranked number 2.

"How the hell did he get to level 4 with 14% of his experience bar filled, what the fu*k, where the hell is he grinding," He cried out indignantly.

Emile was unaware of what occurred since he was busy logging into Nirvana.

No special system notification occurred.

After logging in he decided to contact his party to see if they wanted to go find out what the story was about.

"Hey, do you guys want to know what the story is about," He asked.

"There you are, what took you so long to get online, I wanted to enter as soon as I logged in but the Chief wouldn't open the door to us," Time Walker responded annoyedly.

"I did some minor quests around the village in the meantime." He continued.

"Let's go," Emile walked back to the village.

When he arrived he noticed that they were already waiting in front of the Village Chief's home. This was the most crowded his front door area had been.

It was packed with people attempting to enter the Village Chief's home. No one was allowed inside.

Emile strength value was much higher than an average player so he could push them aside to forcefully go towards the front of the Chief's home.

The players were annoyed but couldn't do anything about it. He quickly made his way to the welcome mat in front of the door.

"Hey Village Chief, I cleared all the caves for you," He quickly yelled from outside of his home.

He waited a few seconds and the players were mumbling about him.

The door opened with the Village Chief inviting him to enter.

"I have a few friends who want to enter as well, can they," He asked the Village Chief.

"Alright, not too many people, right, I don't want all these people entering my home," He said as he looked around.

The players felt insulted.

Some of the players noticed that the Village Chief was allowing some people to enter his home.

They decided to report to their respective guilds.

His party quickly entered the home and sat down on his couch.

Emile quickly told him about the details of clearing the caves and promptly received his rewards.

[2500 experience, Rare Chestplate of the Fallen, Skill Book: Fire Ball has been received]

His experience shot up to 39% and the other's experiences also went up. They didn't receive any of the items. They only got the experience.

"Recently the animals nearby have been getting rowdy, something must be causing this. I hope you can go find out what's causing this. Don't worry I'll give you this cape which should help you find out what happened," He said.

[Story Quest: Discover the Truth]

[Objective: Find out what happened to arouse all the animals]

[Difficulty: C]

[Comment: The animals are rowdy you have to discover why]

[Progress: Not Discovered]

[Can be shared]

[Reward: Rare Cloak of Shadows]

The Village Chief gave them the cloaks.

Cloak of the Shadows (Quest Item)

Any mob beyond 5 meters cannot see the player unless the player intentionally makes noise

The item was useful for sneaking around but after the quest is finished it would be taken back.

They had to discover what had occurred to the Forest to make all the animals seem to be in chaos.

Emile decided to see what the items were.

[The Fireball skill can be absorbed to gain 50 fire skill points]

Emile felt bad about telling Time Walker a lie about the skill Fireball. So he decided to be a good friend and give him the skill.

"Hey Time Walker here's the fireball skill," Emile said as he initiated a trade with Time Walker.

"Thanks," he said with an excited tone. He immediately chose to learn the skill.

He accepted the trade. Emile then decided to check out the chest plate and see what it was.
