145 Saving the Alchemist Guild

After reaching the bottom step of the staircase, they noticed the infamous statue they saw before. There were tables, a cauldron, and a few other random things in the room. The statue was on top of the table.

These statues were a memorable object since the system included them in multiple quests. They had lots of significance.

The statue had its hands clasped together with legs crossed.

Glowing ethereal chains floated around the statue. The chains fazed through the different objects without touching them. It was mesmerizing to watch,

These chains held the people inside the guild like a puppet without free will.

It could sense the party watching it and acted promptly. It had a deep fear of death.

The statue's eyes glowed red as it commanded the people under its control to arrive at the basement floor as quick as they could. The quest would have been harder if the party hadn't encountered the statues beforehand and didn't know the method to eliminate them.

They removed the nails from the statue like the previous statues the party encountered throughout their journey. Knowledge and wisdom of the game was an important reason that allowed them to make it this far.

It didn't take long to remove the nails since they had practice and experience with the subject.

The nail removal was a success since the statue disintegrated into nothing leaving dust that spread throughout the room.

The challenging part of the quest was the first three floors they went through. These required communication, teamwork, skill, control over emotions, and their individual learning capabilities for them to free the guild.

There were very few parties that could accomplish what they did.

Emile's party had an easy time when they were on the bottom floor since all they had to do was remove the nails and everything would be fine.

The members of the Alchemist guild who were growing near to the parties location on the third basement floor stopped moving after the statue disappeared. They questioned themselves.

"Where are we going?"

"I don't know. Whoever was controlling me was leading us somewhere."

"Someone took possession of my body. Please donate so that my trauma disappears. I accept gold coins, silver coins, and copper coins," someone shouted out from the crowd with no shame in his voice. The man got the crowd to laugh with him.

The Alchemist Guild transformed into a celebratory mood. No one in the guild knew about the statue and its effects, but they knew something or someone took control of their bodies.

The higher-ups of the guild also woke up from their stupor. They were regretting the decision to leave the city. It wasn't their fault since someone controlled them to decide the departure of the entire guild.

They wanted to put the guild back in the city. These high ranked members thought of ways to reconcile.

Emile didn't know this was his lucky break to complete part the quest. He was celebrating on the bottom floor with his party. The curse wouldn't affect them anymore, so they could show emotions.

The system allowed FBS Fulcron to enter the guild if he wanted to. FBS Fulcron entered the guild and wandered around lost is his thoughts.

There was one person unaccounted for. Severn.

Severn looked around the room and realized he wasted a good amount of time by talking to complete strangers. He wondered where the party was during his talk with all the alchemists.

Severn stayed on the first floor.

The party checked the room where the guild leader stayed in. He wasn't there, so they did whatever they wanted for a short period.

The discovered nothing of use down in the basement. They climbed the steps on at a time until they reached the lounge with the most people.

In the distance, the party saw Severn and FBS Fulcron standing next to each other.

The party walked up to them and gave them a large hug. They huddled around Severn and FBS Fulcron.

"You have no clue how much I missed you guys," Emile said. The more party members there were, the stronger they would be.

FBS Fulcron felt his heart warm as he realized that the party wouldn't reject him for not being able to control his emotions.

For the first time, FBS Fulcron considered the party to be his second home where he can hang out and talk with close friends. Friends he can laugh with, no matter how many times he failed.

"Where's Flower Queen," FBS Fulcron said.

"She passed out after one of her trials," Emile said as he put his head down.

"You should deliver food for her; she'll probably be hungry whenever she wakes up," Scarlet Sunset said now that the topic shifted onto Flower Queen.

"I don't have access to her apartment," Emile said as he scratched his head.

Scarlet Sunset knew Emile and Flower Queen lived near each other, so he wanted to further their relationship.

"Well, go buy food and leave it at her front door, don't forget to put a note saying that it's from Emile," Scarlet Sunset said.

"All right," Emile wanted to do something nice for Lily so he didn't deny the task.

"Go do that now, we'll continue with the quest. I'll go talk to the people of the guild and see if I could persuade them," Scarlet Sunset said.

Emile did as she instructed. He wasn't against listening to others. He logged out of Nirvana.

Emile thought about the food that Flower Queen enjoyed eating and realized that he didn't know much about her.

Emile enjoyed seafood, so he bought her sushi. He ordered it online and waited a minute or two to arrive at his room.

The sushi appeared in his room. He walked out of his apartment and placed the sushi in front of her door. A note attached to the sushi said, "I bought you some food. Hope you enjoy - from Emile."

Emile rang the doorbell one time so that the doorbell mechanism remembered that someone wanted to enter. Whenever she will wake up, there will be a notification about someone who rang her doorbell.

Emile placed the note on top of the box containing the food. He walked back into his room and logged onto Nirvana. He couldn't force her to wake up and eat the food, so he continued doing his normal things.

When he logged back into the game, he noticed that the party moved onto talking to the people in the guild.

"You're the people who freed us from the mind control?"

"Yeah," FBS Fulcron said without shame. Even though he wasn't there, he shared the credit with the party.

"Where are your higher-ups or the guild leader," Scarlet Sunset said. She didn't care too much about fame, so she let FBS Fulcron have some of it.

"We don't know where the guild leader went. He seemed to have vanished somewhere. Those three over there and I manage the guild," the man with a pink buttoned shirt said.

"I think you guys should join back with the city," Scarlet Sunset said.

"Yes, that's what we wish to do," the man said with excitement in his voice.

It was easier than they thought. All they had to do was go through the long process of freeing them before they readily accepted.

"That was easier than I thought, well I'll bring you guys over to the mayor and you guys can work it out," Scarlet Sunset said.

Emile appeared back in the guild and asked about the situation.
