148 Root of the Problem: Solved

The man had a long trench coat around him. He wore a scarf around his neck with dark glasses that covered his eyes. Footprints left behind as he walked towards the destination which was sent by Emile.

He walked forward with steady steps and arrived in front of Scarlet Sunset.

"Nice to meet you," the man said as he put his hand out for a handshake.

"Nice to meet you too. Is there anything in particular that you would wish for me to call you?" Scarlet Sunset asked as she shook his hand,

"I'm X5."

"So are there four other X's out in the world," Scarlet Sunset said with a laugh. Her laugh sounded genuine. She was good at doing a fake laugh.

"Private information. What proof do you have that proves that you're the guild leader of the Tailor Guild?" the man began asking questions.

If she answered his questions she would be following his tempo, and he would have control of the conversation.

Scarlet Sunset secretly rolled her eyes at his comment. She knew that he saw her eyes roll.

"I don't know how to prove that I'm the guild leader. I guess you'll have to trust me," Scarlet Sunset said as she shrugged.

"I don't believe in trust. You'll need more than some words for me to believe you," the man said.

"Well, first things first, I have access to the guild leaders of other guilds, I have beautiful clothing handcrafted by the genius- me. I'm the fanciest in the entire city and don't forget the prettiest. Just look at me," Scarlet Sunset said as she blinked a few times.

She brought out an arrogant, narcissistic side to show that she wasn't too intelligent and used brawns over brain. Most people with these personalities are idiots, and Scarlet Sunset exploited this to show that she wasn't intelligent.

The man believed her words partially. He couldn't detect any falsehood in her actions or words, so he put some trust in her.

"Why do you want the coins?"

"Is that even a question you should ask? I want to be rich and buy better materials for my perfect clothing. Also, I want to give my coins to my mother," Scarlet Sunset said.

"So-"

"Wait, let me talk for a minute. I need to trust you as well, so I'm going to ask you questions. Why do you want to get rid of the guild from the cities," she asked.

"We don't. The guilds have their own free will before we talk to them. We would pay them to come live in new locations. We love the city, but we love the guilds much more, so we only take the guild. We have nothing against the city," the man picked his words correctly to not sound like a poach. He was complementing and being neutral about some things.

"Do you have any boss or manager that manages your way of business?" she asked with her head tilted to the side.

The man thought about what answer he should pick. He could choose to tell her the truth or lie to her face.

"Yeah, I have a boss," He didn't say anything else after that moment. The man told the truth.

"Can I talk to him or meet him soon?" Scarlet Sunset said.

"You're asking too much. Please stop questioning me," the man said with a frown.

"Sorry," Scarlet Sunset said as she put her head down. The man felt slight pity for her, but then steeled his heart once more. That one moment of dropping his guard caused a shadowy hand to hit him in the back of the head.

The man fell unconscious. He wasn't willing to speak anymore, so they wouldn't get much more information from him by talking to him. Emile knocking him out was a bit of an overkill.

Scarlet Sunset won the battle of intelligence.

They were going to deliver the man to the mayor, and the mayor could do whatever he wanted with the man. He could send him to another city or interrogate him.

Emile was the person who attacked from behind. He was watching out for any cues of the man's guard dropping, and it did which was a minor shock for Emile.

The other party members were prepared for a fight in case something happened. Luckily, nothing happened.

"Your acting skills are really good. You should star in a movie." Nimble Rod said.

"Not very much acting, more controlling his personality with words and actions. It's a lot harder than it seems," Scarlet Sunset said.

It was already turning late, so Emile and the party went back to deliver the man to the mayor. Scarlet Sunset went to the fashion shop to change her look to what she was previously.

A red-haired girl with red robes.

The party didn't have trouble reaching the top. They used Flower Queen's fame in the tower to ascend with ease.

The party reached the top and placed the man in the mayor's room. At first, the mayor was confused as to what it was about, but then he heard the backstory of the man and a deep seeded hatred emerged in his eyes.

Emile and the party left before the mayor could get mad. They would come back again to deliver the quest. That man was the root of all the mayor's problems.

"All right, I'm logging out to get sleep," Emile said with a yawn. They were standing outside of the mayor's tower when Emile asked for sleep.

"Same," FBS Fulcron said. Emile logged out and fell asleep. FBS Fulcron also logged out to get rest.

The next morning, Emile went to class like normal. Throughout the class day, he was hoping for his guild to complete lots of the quests given by the party. That way today would be a simple day for the party without too many problems. If there were a few stragglers, the party would complete it instead of the guild.

Emile hoped that they could submit the quest today. This way they get to have more items in the guild stock.

Flower Queen logged onto the game before Emile logged on. She noticed Emile online and messaged him with a thank you to show her appreciation for the food. It was a sweet gesture.

The guild had completed a good solid 70% of the quests overnight. They were all excited to get free quests without having to do anything. That was one benefit of being in a guild.

Scarlet Sunset looked the same as always. Her way of dressing never changed much. Only during moments of need, she will change her clothes.

The party split up to complete the quests one by one. It was a tedious process since they didn't have a forever time limit on their quest.

These quests required killing animals to get different items. These quests never passed C rank difficulty.

The guild and the party killed the monsters and got the materials.

Soon, all the quests on the mission board were complete meaning that everyone in the Blacksmith Guild would come back to the city. It was a joyful day for everyone.

The party walked towards the mayor's office on the top floor to give him the information about completing the quest.
