121 Releasing the Animals

Emile couldn't stop the Pegasus by taking the hit since it would kill him if he tried to. He had to pray and get lucky for a miracle. And this miracle was Flower Queen.

The Pegasus stopped in front of Emile's face. It began to disappear in front of his eyes.

The horse gave a soft neigh. It gave a nod to Emile as it left the world.

Flower Queen removed all the nails from the ground. They set the spirit free from the control of the statue. She used her in-game skills to move faster and reach the nails faster.

Flower Queen rested on top of the mountain. She had strained herself to move at high speeds.

Emile stared into the sky and gave a wave to the Pegasus.

The Pegasus had a pitiful life. Someone forced the Pegasus into submission by using the statue. The Pegasus got killed by a powerful being. It lived a peaceful life on top of the mountain without harming the humans that lived nearby. That's why it could live near the humans without being hunted by them.

Emile walked up the mountain once more. Lily sat on the ground and waited for Emile.

She was trying to hide her raspy breath.

"Breath in, breath out," Flower Queen murmured.

Emile appeared in her line of sight a few moments later.

"I'm guessing you had something to do with the disappearance of the Pegasus," Emile said as he sat on the ground next to her.

"Obviously," Flower Queen said with a laugh.

"I can always count on you," Emile said as his vision trailed off into the distance.

Lily laughed. They sat on the ground and stared into the distance without speaking.

The silence between them lasted for five minutes. Emile stood up and dusted himself off. He gave a hand to Lily. She grabbed his hand and also stood up.

"Let's head back," Emile said.

"Take the statue with you," Flower Queen said as she glanced at the statue.

Emile picked up the statue and put it in his inventory.

What they didn't know was that removing the nails was the second part of the quest. The first was investigating the locations, and the second was to free the spirits of the animals.

Some party members had completed their portion of the quest. The list included the Deer King, which wasn't too challenging for Severn. He evaded the attacks of the Deer and pulled the nails out. It required a lot of skill from his part to evade the Deer's attack.

They investigated the Water's Nymph's home. The party that found the Water Nymph's home took out the nails like they planned beforehand.

The Cinder Goat part of the quest wasn't completed. It made sense why they haven't completed their portion. There wasn't a specific region where the Cinder Goat lived, unlike the other animals.

They had to scour the side of the mountains to look for it.

"Have you guys found the Cinder Goat's home?" Emile asked.

"No," Nimble Rod said with shame.

"Do you guys need our help?" Emile asked. Flower Queen and Emile stood on the mountain and looked around while Emile communicated with the party.

"Yeah," FBS Fulcron replied. He wasn't ashamed of asking for help. Nimble Rod didn't respond to the question.

"All right, where is the Cinder Goat's general location," Emile asked.

"Teleport to Whisper City and walk out of the North Gate. It's a 25-minute walk to reach the mountain." FBS Fulcron said.

"All right," Emile said. He retold the information to Flower Queen.

"Use a space gem to go back to Pillar City, then use the teleporter to teleport to Whisper City," Emile used the fastest method to reach the city.

Flower Queen gave a nod before taking out a Space Gem. They appeared in Pillar City, then they used ten silver coins to teleport to Whisper City.

They asked the locals about the fastest way to the North Gate.

"If you head that way, and take a left turn on the third street, you'll find the gate straight ahead of you," a lady said to Emile.

They thanked the lady before following the directions.

"The city is creepy," Flower Queen said. The decorations were dark and dreary. It gave off a creepy sense in the person.

There weren't many people living in the city due to the creepy atmosphere.

After running and another race, they arrived at the mountain at breakneck speed.

"I need the ground to be uphill for me to win," Flower Queen said as she continued to breathe hard.

"I'm faster than you when we're on flat ground," Emile said with a laugh.

"Yeah," Flower Queen said as she continued breathing. She wasn't good at a long distance running.

They split up after their conversation so that they could cover the most ground. The other party members had to arrive to help them look for the Cinder Goat's home. Severn also showed up to help.

After around 40 minutes of walking around with no interesting things occurring, someone found the Cinder Goat's home.

"I found the Cinder Goat's home," FBS Fulcron said with excitement. It excited him since the other's couldn't find something he found.

"Where?" Scarlet Sunset said. She was the first to reply.

"I'll send you coordinates," FBS Fulcron said. He sent the coordinates to the party.

The party walked to the location. The surroundings were barren with no noteworthy locations. It was only a mountain.

On their walk there, they received a system notification.

Another quest appeared. It was a good thing that they completed most of this quest before it appeared. They had to release the goat before they would complete the quest.

The area which had Cinder Goats had nothing interesting. All it had was a statue in the middle of the nowhere. FBS Fulcron was standing next to the statue and waited for his party members.

They showed up one after another.

"This should be easy," Emile said as he cracked his fingers.

"Everyone, look for a string and walk towards the nail," Emile said. He spotted one while giving his instructions.

Emile stood next to his nail. He watched the others find the string and walk to the nail.

"The goat's spirit shouldn't have time to show up," Emile said. There were seven after grouping up. Each person would pull one nail. Two people would have to pull two nails.

They coordinated their pulling.

"3...2...1, go!" Emile said as he yanked the nail out. They pulled seven nails out.

Flower Queen ran to one nail and Nimble Rod ran to the other. They were the closest.

The goat materialized from thin air. Nimble Rod pulled out the last nail causing the goat to dematerialize.

"Uh... that was easier than I thought," Nimble Rod said with a laugh.

"Yeah," Time Walker said.
