76 Interacting with the Seraphs

"What I'm not ugly," Lily exclaimed.

"Keep telling yourself that, us Seraphs can tell the difference between ugly and beautiful," the Seraph said.

"You're not ugly. The Seraphs have different tastes," Emile reassured Lily.

"Are there pimples, acne or anything like that on my face," Lily placed her face close to Emile.

"No, there isn't. You're beautiful," Emile said.

She gave out a breath of relief.

"An ugly man telling an ugly girl she's beautiful. How romantic would it be if you were pretty?" the Seraph said.

"Can you stop insulting us," Emile rolled his eyes when he was called ugly.

"Insult? I would never. I'm speaking the truth," the Seraph said.

"What can we find here," Emile asked. He gave up trying to get an apology.

"A lot of things. There are shops around here selling different good, but I don't how effective it would be for a human," the Seraph folded its wings and said.

"The king might be happy to see you," the Seraph said.

"He was friends with a human long ago," the Seraph continued.

"Thank you for your help," Emile said.

Emile didn't want to interact with the Seraph anymore. He needed to talk to another Seraph.

"No problem Mr. Ugly," the Seraph said before flying away.

"That bird gets on my nerves," Lily said. She clenched her fist.

"Let's check the shop; I'm rich because of my quest," Emile said.

"Sure," Lily said.

"Where is the shop," Emile said.

"You didn't ask that Seraph," Lily smacked her forehead in disappointment.

"Now, we have to interact with another one," Lily said as she rubbed her forehead.

"Don't hit yourself- oh there's another Seraph," Emile spotted a Seraph reading a book while flying.

"Hey, madam, sir," Emile didn't know how genders worked in the Seraph city.

The Seraph looked down and spotted Emile and Lily who had a red forehead.

The Seraph flew down and landed in front.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Cylon," the Seraph said.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Emile, and this is Lily," Emile introduced them. This Seraph had a better personality than the other one.

"I haven't seen humans in a long time," Cylon said.

"Well, thanks for the compliments," Emile said.

"This young lady is a good person," Cylon had a good impression on her due to the title.

"Nice to meet you," Lily said.

"Do you know where the shop is," Emile asked.

"The shop is that way. If you walk in that direction for three minutes, you'll see a green colored sign that says 'SHOP'. I visit that shop often for food." Cylon said,

"Who is the king? I'm not trying to be rude." Emile said; he didn't know about the Seraph's customs about kings.

"His majesty is the strongest Seraph. He's known to be a War God." The Seraph had gazes of admiration. It was radiating out.

"Can we meet the king," Emile asked.

"No. The king has been in a slumber for the last 500 years. He's going to wake up soon. There was a prophecy about a great war that will occur in 500 years. The king has been manifesting his powers to prepare for this great war," Cylon said.

Emile realized that the war was probably going to be a feature of the game. It was going to be revealed in a future update. He didn't know when.

"What's this great war about," Emile asked.

"The prophecy said that when billions of adventurers begin appearing throughout the world, a dark force will begin moving. This dark force will try to take over the world," the Seraph said.

Emile knew what the prophecy was referring to. The dark forces were moving at this moment. He didn't know if he interacted with anyone from the dark forces.

Emile didn't want to worry too much about this. He wanted to see what he could find in the shop. There might be good items or good pieces of equipment.

"The dark forces have begun moving," Lily frowned when she thought of this possibility. She had also come to this conclusion.

"Yep," Emile said.

"How do you know they're moving," Cylon said.

"We are two of those billions of adventurers. We know that this is a popular period for many adventurers to appear." Emile said.

"Well, my king can kill the dark forces with ease," Cylon said with admiration.

Emile didn't think this would be easy. Emile felt that the great war would have lots of challenging tasks and accomplishments.

"Thank you for your time," Lily said.

"Yes, thank you for your humble time," Emile said.

"No problem," the Seraph flew away.

"All right, let's head into the store," Lily said. She seemed more excited than Emile.

They found the green sign that said SHOP and walked into it. They noticed a variety of items.

Gems were the most common in this store.

"What do these gems do," Emile said as he grabbed one. It was a rhetorical question. He identified each gem. These gems were each a different color. He stared with an azure colored gem.

Water Gem

Releases a strong current of water

Wind Gem

Releases a strong wind

Fire Gem

Releases a strong blazing flame

Time Gem

Lower all skills on cooldown by 30 minutes

Can only use: 2/day

Space Gem

Teleports to a location the user has been in before.

10 second cast time*

*Note: You cannot be attacked while channeling this skill or else the skill will stop functioning and the gem will break.

There was a gem for most of the elements. They each cost 1 silver coin. Emile was rich and had 3 gold coins so he could purchase a lot of these gems.

He didn't know the strength of the attack. Some didn't seem like attacks Like the Wind Gem could be used for knockback instead of attacks.

Emile bought one of each gem for Lily and himself. He also bought a few extra Time and Space Gems. He now had 10 Time Gems and Lily also had 10 Time Gems. Emile bought 20 space gems. 10 for himself and 10 for Lily.

This was a better way to travel since it cost one silver coin. Emile could go to Sunrise City with one silver coins and return with one silver coin. He could also teleport to Seraphyl to get more space gems.

This was a perfect opportunity to get gems. Emile could also sell these gems for a value above 1 silver coin, but below 10 silver coins. This was a way to make money.

Emile told Lily about this method.

"Well, many people will buy the gems depending on the price. If you sell it for nine silver coins, some players won't buy it since they don't care about one silver coin. You should sell it for eight silver coins or seven silver coins." Lily added her insights. She didn't think about the true effect of this gem.

"But can't you teleport from anywhere with the gem," Emile asked.

"That's true! That will increase the price. We could sell it for over ten silver coins. This item could sell for a lot. If we only put one gem on the market, we could sell it for one gold coin. That's how useful this item is to the players," Lily said. She realized how effective this item is.

"I'll put one in the market for 999 silver coins," Emile said.

It was proven that a price seems more affordable when it ends in 99. Emile used these tactics to allow more people to think that this was a good trade.
