119 Helping the Mayor

The party led their groups of Blacksmith or Tailors to the nearest city. They spent ten silver coins for each person. They had to use 450 silver coins to transport everyone to White Stat City.

"So this is White Star City," one Blacksmith said.

"Seems kinda lackluster," another Blacksmith replied as they looked around.

Compared to other cities White Star City was lackluster in the entertainment region. The city didn't have a racetrack or a beach like other cities.

It was only a capital city with no other significant point. Well, other than having a higher chance of being attacked. But is that a good thing? No.

To the average person, White Star City is just a city, nothing else. Emile couldn't respond to their comments since he didn't know what to brag about within the city.

They waited for the other half of the party to catch up to them. After around ten minutes of waiting, they appeared with the Tailors.

"Scarlet Sunset how did you get 18 people," Time Walker walked up to the party and asked. He knew he was better than most at convincing others but not as good as Scarlet Sunset. He got eight people with his words.

"By planning my steps," Scarlet Sunset replied with a laugh.

The mayor told them to bring the people to a workshop. The workshop was in a random part of the city with no noteworthy surroundings. Hidden in plain sight.

The brought the people to the workshop and waited.

"All right, are these the people," the mayor said as he walked into the workshop. He noticed the people standing around and talking.

"Yeah, they're all Rank Two Blacksmiths or Tailors," Emile replied. There were waiting for the mayor to appear.

"Good Job. Which one of you will receive the Red Silver item?"

"Her," Emile replied and pointed at Scarlet Sunset.

The mayor took out a pendant from his pocket and handed it to Scarlet Sunset. It was a beautiful pendant with an azure colored orb attached to it.

Scarlet Sunset grabbed the pendant and gazed into the orb. She seemed mesmerized.

"Ah! This is so cute!!" Scarlet Sunset said as she twirled around with excitement.

"She's adora-"

A cold gaze cut off Emile's words. The gaze gave him shivers which stopped him from speaking. The gaze disappeared after a few moments.

Emile realized that he dodged a bullet.

"Uhm... cough, what stats does the pendant have?" Emile asked.

Azure Pendant

A pendant containing the rare material sapphire. Has 0.01 milligrams of sapphire inside it. The rest is another material,

Rank: Red Silver

Level Requirement: 10

Strength +22

Agility +22

Vitality +18

Spirit +28

Intelligence +31

Skills: {Azure Protection} {Azure Sky Fall} {Azure Healing}

{Azure Protection}

Casts a protection on any user including self. Absorbs 50% of damage equal to their health.

Cooldown: 2 Hours

{Azure Sky Fall}

Casts a rain of diamonds. AOE spell. Deals 33 damage per second. Lasts for 100 seconds.

Cooldown: 6 Hours

{Azure Healing}

Heals the party one percent of their health every five seconds. Lasts for two minutes and five seconds.

Cooldown: 6 Hours

These skills were good for a support class. Not only could it protect players, it could also heal them which showed how good the item was.

Emile's party member felt excited just by looking at the stats and skills.

"All right, you've helped me get the Blacksmiths and Tailors, so how about you doing something else for me," the mayor said with a laugh.

"What can we do for you?" Emile asked. He realized that this was another opportunity to get a quest.

"I need you to investigate animals," the mayor said with a serious tone.

"What animals," FBS Fulcron blurted out.

"The bosses that appeared during the attack," the mayor replied. He spoke in a serious tone.

"Yeah, we should investigate their homes," Emile agreed with the mayor.

[Story Quest: Investigating the Animals]

[Objective: Check the Deer King, Nymph Queen, Cinder Goat, and the Dream Pegasus's home]

[Difficulty: S]

[Comment: a challenging quest that will require luck and lots of skill]

[Penalty: -3 levels, banned from the game for one week]

[Time Limit: 12 hours, 56 minutes, 12 seconds]

[Reward:???]

Quests that give ??? rewards fall into two categories. The first is a useful item or ability and the second is nothing. Emile hoped that they would receive good items.

The game called the quest a story quest. Story quests had big impacts on the game and the surrounding regions.

The penalty of the quest was harsh. Players would lose three levels if they failed, and they would get banned from the game for one week.

Emile shared the quest with his party members. They all had gained a burden when they saw what the quest required.

"Do we split up or go together?" Emile asked. There was an obvious answer after checking the time limit.

He wanted his parties inputs.

"I think we should split up into small groups and investigate," Scarlet Sunset said as she watched the timer tick down.

"If there are statues at the location, then look for strings that lead to a nail or something else," Emile said. He informed them about the statues in case it has something to do with it.

"Remove the nails to get rid of the statue's evil spirit," Severn added on.

It shouldn't be too hard since the mobs were dead, right?

They were hoping for this scenario, but by looking at the difficulty they knew something would happen during the quest.

"All right. We have little time; let's split up into groups of two. One person will have to be alone." Emile said. They had an odd number of people.

"I can be alone," Severn volunteered to be alone. He was familiar with the loneliness, so it didn't matter whether he was alone or with someone else.

"Let me be alone since I'm the strongest," Emile replied. It made sense for Emile to be alone.

"You and someone else will go after the Dream Pegasus's home while I go for an easy boss like the Deer King," Severn with a laugh.

"All right, we don't have time to argue," Time Walker interrupted the soon to be back-and-forth.

"Severn will go by himself, Emile and Flower Queen can go to the Dream Pegasus's home. Me and Scarlet Sunset will work together for the Water Nymph, and Nimble Rod will go with FBS Fulcron for the Cinder Goat," Time Walker created groups in an instant.

"It's actually Scarlet Sunset and I," FBS Fulcron said. He was trying to correct his words.

"Don't mind the grammar unless you want to be with her," Time Walker said as he rolled his eyes.

"Nah, it's okay," FBS Fulcron replied.

"Are you guys okay with the groups," Time Walker continued to speak. He didn't show a leader side to him before. This was a unique spectacle for the party.

"Yeah, I'm okay with it," Emile replied with a nod.

"I'm okay with it," Flower Queen said. She glanced at Emile.

The others showed that they were okay with their groups.

In the background of this conversation, the mayor had someone teach the Blacksmiths an item recipe. He also had someone to teach the Tailors an item recipe.

He was beginning his plan to restock items for the city.

The party was ready to challenge the quest.
