87 Entering the Golem Graveyard

"All right, he'll stay here during the night unless you have a mission for him," the mayor said.

"Okay. I'm going to Blue Nitro City tomorrow, so I'll visit to pick you up." Emile said.

Emile gained a new companion in his travels. He left the mayor's home. He didn't know if it was worth to get a new companion for a quest reward.

Players weren't entering into the cities and were grinding for coins. Emile didn't have to worry about grinding which allowed him to use his time more efficiently.

He explored the outskirts of the city for the remaining time. He walked to the adventure guild and took a few local quests.

Emile left the city and walked into the first mobs. It was a goblin. Emile tested his strength out on these goblins.

These goblins were weak. He could kill them in one hit. They only dropped a few coins and some of their weapons. These weapons were common rank or broken items. He could sell them for a decent amount. The alligators had a better experience yield since they were higher level.

Grinding near the city wouldn't help him.

Emile walked further out. He saw different goblins. There were mage class goblins, some were wearing better armor and they were teaming up.

This location would require ordinary players to party up. Emile didn't have to worry too much since his agility surpasses all of the normal monsters. He could evade their attacks and kill them with one hit.

Emile stopped grinding after an hour and fell asleep.

Throughout the night the government implemented more rules. These rules stopped people from skipping their jobs or class. They banned people who were caught skipping work or class. This ban lasted a week.

They would fall behind the other players if they weren't allowed to play for one week. This stopped most of the world from taking this risk.

Some still took the risk hoping to not get caught, but with some digging around they caught them. The developers banned 90% of people who intentionally skipped from the game for a week while the 10% were in an undetermined category. They didn't know if it was intentional.

These people were sick or had special reasons to not go to work.

Emile didn't know about these rules since they posted them while he was grinding on the goblins. The lucky aspect was that they placed these rules after the day he missed his classes, so he received no penalties.

The next morning Emile went to his class. Everyone including the teachers was talking about the events that occurred.

Some were ecstatic about the events while being in class annoyed other people. Due to the new laws implemented they had to have a normal class day.

Emile could feed the tense atmosphere in the class. They all wanted to be the first person to reveal an ability.

Emile would lie low since he didn't like attention. It would be for the best if other people showed off their abilities first.

Then he could use his abilities in public without anyone suspecting weird things about him. His class passed without a hitch.

Even though two days had passed, most players couldn't buy the skill system. It would take more time for them to reach the coin amount.

Emile logged onto Nirvana after his classes. The game set up a connection between Severn and himself. He could communicate with him from long range distance.

"Severn could you appear outside of your mansion," Emile asked.

"Okay," Severn said.

Emile walked to his mansion. Severn was waiting with a sword in his buckle. Emiel couldn't use a space gem to teleport to areas he had never visited.

He had to use the teleporter to head to Blue Nitro city.

Severn followed. He was like a stone statue and showed no emotions. It was awkward for Emile.

Emile had to use 20 silver coins to teleport to the city. This city was famous for racing and its golem graveyard.

The city used to be named the ancient city since broken golems could be found everywhere. Around 100 years ago, racing became a popular profession. It swept the city as everyone was in love with racing.

They changed the cities name. Racing never died down.

Children wanted to be racers from a young age. This was their goals.

Emile used the guide he saw in the market. It showed all the main attractions. In Blue Nitro City there were two main locations.

The first was the stadium racetrack. Races happened every day. This was a good gambling location since people could bet on racers and decide who could win.

The other location was a large graveyard which had many parts of golems. This location was the location Emile wanted to search.

After teleporting to the city, he walked to the graveyard. The graveyard was inside the city. It was a tourist location which generated a high amount of income.

Many people wanted to see the metallic body parts left behind. Sometimes, they could find golems that were alive. They would capture these golems and hold a showing where they show off the golems.

After the showing, they would send them to another location. This area had golems that kept alive.

Emile found out they wouldn't allow him to keep any items found in the graveyard. This posed a problem.

Emile conceived of a plan.

Emile wanted to scout the location to see if he could find ancient gears.

If he finds ten ancient gears, then he would go on a heist mission to steal them.

Step 1: Scout the area for Ancient Gears. Pretend to be a tourist.

The guards didn't stop him from entering the graveyard. Emile had to pay a 20 copper coin fee to enter the graveyard.

Emile paid for both.

"Severn, look for Ancient Gears. Take none of them," Emile ordered.

"Sure," Severn didn't think Emile would have this mind. He regretted choosing to be Emile's knight. Severn didn't want to abandon Emile, so he listened to Emile's orders and hoped his attitude would change.

[Severn's favorability has decreased to 50]

Emile received this notification.

'I'm so stupid. The first thing I ask him to do is to help me steal objects. Of course; that's why the favorability dropped,' Emile thought in his mind. He walked in a direction as he thought about the system notification.

'I must cater to his demands a few times.' Emile imagined multiple ways to get him on his good side.

Emile understood why this was considered a tourist location. These metallic body parts shone in different colors.

These colors would change based on the time of day.

Emile identified the objects that surrounded him.

Metallic Golem Leg (Broken)

A leg that belonged to a golem.

Metallic Golem Head

A golem head severed by a sharp sword.

Ancient Gear

A gear that was used to make a golem function.

He had found the item he was looking for.
