122 Cutscene

A cinematic cutscene played. The cutscene only appeared for the people in the tier three city region. Sun Point Region was the region that the cutscene played. White Star City was the capital of the Sun Point region.

A tier three city had dozens of smaller tier one and tier two cities inside it.

The event was a local event without influencing too much of the world.

The cutscene started off by showing Emile and his party freeing the mobs by removing the statues. Their figures became locally famous.

The camera cut to another location. It showed a man talking to another man. The game shrouded them in darkness, faces unrevealed.

"Someone has destroyed the statues... we need to put one of our plans into motion," one man said.

"Let's put... Plan: City Destruction into motion," the other man said.

"Hmm, it's sooner than we planned. Prepare yourself," the hooded man said as he walked away. The camera pointed at the man's back and the scene faded away.

The cutscene ended.

"Woah," Emile said. This was his first time seeing a cutscene in a VR game. It was a unique experience since he felt like he was in the room listening to the cloaked individuals.

"Great, now we need to prepare for City Destruction again," Flower Queen said as she rolled her eyes.

"It's probably another horde attack," Emile said. The game hadn't shown other methods of attacking the city other than launching it with monsters.

"It can't keep using the same mechanic," Flower Queen said.

"It might be Player versus Player attacks," Flower Queen continued.

"How would those guys do that," Emile asked.

"With rewards. They could give out rewards to the players who attack and destroy certain cities," Flower Queen replied.

"Let's hope it's only some mobs," Emile said.

The game waited for their conversation to reach an end. How thoughtful.

[Rewards are being distributed by the efforts of each person]

Flower Queen had the most effort.

She tried her best to pull all the nails before the Pegasus could kill Emile. Saving Emile's life and pulling all the nails out caused her to get lots of merits since the Dream Pegasus was the most challenging boss.

Another contribution came from the fact she pulled two nails from the Cinder Goat's statue. The game considered her to have done the most work.

Severn also received lots of contribution from the Deer King since he challenged it by himself. He completed part of the quest by himself. He was in second place.

Emile was in the third spot of the contribution rankings, unusual for him since he was always leading in front of others.

Flower Queen received one level and two pieces of equipment were of Red Silver ranking.

She reached level 11 and was getting close to 12. Severn had a unique body which caused him to not receive any experience. The game made his physical strength higher.

They buffed him with stats which would allow him to breeze through all mobs below level 17.

He was becoming stronger by following Emile and his party.

Emile received a Red Silver item, and the game filled 1/3 of his experience bar.

The others received rewards as well. The person in fourth place got one Red Silver equipment, and it filled 1/5 of their experience bar.

Fifth place received one Red Silver equipment. Sixth place received three rare pieces of equipment. And finally, the person in the last position of the contribution rankings received two pieces of rare equipment.

Emile's party were near the top of the world in terms of equipment. Few people had Red Silver equipment.

Most of their party had Red Silver equipment.

The equipment came with a variety of skills.

Emile identified the new pair of pants that lay in his inventory.

Copy Pants

A pair of pants with the power of duplication.

Rank: Red Silver

Strength +23

Agility +23

Vitality +24

Spirit +23

Intelligence +23

Skills: {Skill Copy} {Body Copy}

{Skill Copy}

Copies a skill from an opponent or person and stores it in the pants. Can use the skill in the future. Can only store one skill at a time.*

*Note: We weakened some skills due to them being too strong. ie: Ultimate skills of a Great Chief Ranked monster.

{Body Copy}

Duplicates any opponent in the user's line of sight. The clone has 25% of the creatures stats. The clone helps the user. It lasts until death or until three hours pass by before disappearing from the world.

Cooldown: 24 hours

The pair of pants had two skills. Both skills were useful in some manner. He could use the Skill Copy to copy Berserk and activate it twice. He could have quadruple the stats if he tried this out. He could also add skills from the bosses which were strong most of the time.

There were endless ways to use the skill.

The other skill summoned a body clone. It wasn't the normal cloning skill that appeared in novels.

Instead of copying the user, it copied the opponent. The usage varied depending on the opponent. If it copied a strong boss, then the clone would be useful during the boss fight and after it. If it copied a normal person, then the clone would be limited by the person's strength.

"What skills did you guys get," Emile asked.

"I got another item that gives healing properties... the game wants me to be a healer," Scarlet Sunset said with indignation.

"How much does it heal?" Emile asked.

"It doesn't heal you, it gives you an increase in health regeneration up to 20 health per second. The effect lasts for one minute," Scarlet Sunset said.

"It could heal 1,200 health with one usage," Emile said.

"Yeah... it's decent," Scarlet Sunset said. It's a full heal at the beginning stages of the game.

"I got something that allows me to turn invisible," Flower Queen said.

"It has a long cooldown for the complete invisibility effect," Flower Queen said.

"You could use that to sneak behind opponents and attack them from the back," Emile said.

"Yeah. It's also better than sneak since I'm invisible instead of blending into the surroundings," Flower Queen said. The items suited the individuals in some way.

There were a lot of new attacks that they received. Talking about these effects would take up an entire chapter of a book.

These skills did around 300% of a normal attack up to 500%. Many ways of dealing quick and easy damage came about due to these new items. The party had a decent amount of Red Silver items.

In terms of equipment, they were near the top of the world.

"When do you think the City Destruction plan is happening?" Time Walker asked.

"I'm guessing this plan is occurring in less than a week," Emile said.

"It might be sooner than we think," Flower Queen replied.

"We don't know a time frame, so talking about it won't help us out," Scarlet Sunset said.

[The Local Map is viewable through the status]

Players living in the nearby cities were discussing the cutscene. These players figured out that they needed to get stronger to fight off against the destruction plan. The system gave them a map of the region and the surrounding cities. Players were also looking through the local map and figuring out the cities in the nearby regions.

Emile scanned the different cities that existed nearby.
