129 Cellar

Flower Queen cast a spell on their fall down. She created a floor midair stopping their descent.

She used the walls on the side to support the ground. If she didn't carry the floor, it would go down with them into the hole.

She had to make four tall pillars at an angle to hold their weight.

"Ow, can't you make the ground softer," FBS Fulcron said.

"Who sets a trap at the front door," Time Walker said as he stared up into the hole they fell through.

"I can't see anything," Scarlet Sunset said. The light wasn't visible in the hole.

"Here, is this better," Emile said as he flicked his palm to create a fireball. He didn't launch the fireball, he kept it in his hand. The fireball lit up the neighboring space.

They looked beneath the floor that Flower Queen made by walking to the edge of it. The party couldn't discover how deep the hole was.

They weren't willing to encounter what existed at the bottom, so they moved back to the middle of the ground. Flower Queen was hard at work adding further support for the floor.

"You should construct a staircase that leads up to the top," Emile said.

Flower Queen created a staircase. She made more pillars to reinforce the staircase. They climbed up the pit one step at a time.

Soon, they arrived at the top.

"At least the door is still open," Time Walker said as he examined the door.

"I consumed so much mana by doing that," Flower Queen said as she took out a mana potion.

She drank the potion.

"Look for new traps in case there's more in the warehouse," Emile said. He didn't need to mention this since the party became more prudent after the fall down the hole.

Emile had the excellent thought to apply the new skill he got from his pants. He cast {Body Copy} on Flower Queen.

He created a duplicate of Flower Queen. She was the fastest in the party excluding Emile. The skill won't allow Emile to mirror himself so he had to choose her. They needed fast people as the clone since dodging required quick actions.

Flower Queen's clone walked into the warehouse.

[Quest: Seeking an entrance]

[Objective: Find the entrance to basement]

[Comment: Good luck with your search]

[Difficulty: C]

[Progress: None]

[Time Limit: 3 days 10 hours 48 minutes 23 seconds]

[Penalty: Another City Destroyed]

[Reward: Access to the basement]

The game gave them a sub-quest of the first quest. Their next step of the journey would exist in the basement.

The party couldn't split up since the Ice Domain wasn't powerful enough to cover the entire warehouse. They had to stay together during this journey.

Emile sent the clone to move further ahead. The clone walked forward. They followed behind the clone. Soon, another trap occurred in front of their eyes.

A giant dart shot at the clone. The dart moved at rapid velocities. The clone had the same skill level as Flower Queen. It barely dodged the attack. If it was the normal Flower Queen instead of a clone, then she would have dodged the attack with ease since she had much more agility than the clone.

The party didn't have to worry about the dart since they were trailing behind the clone.

"This is much easier than I thought," Emile said.

"Well, for you guys. My clone is working hard at the front," Flower Queen said with a laugh.

They continued walking without a cause.

There were lots of boxes on shelves in the warehouse. Dust floated around in the air; no one had cleaned the warehouse.

"Are you sure this is the correct warehouse," Nimble Rod asked. There wasn't anything out of the ordinary. It was a normal warehouse.

"Where can you find another warehouse is in the middle of nowhere with toxic gas surrounding it," Scarlet Sunset said.

"That's true," Nimble Rod said with a quiet voice. He remained silent for the rest of the walk.

Soon, they found a cellar door.

"That was really easy," Emile said.

The clone evaded multiple traps with its aerobic capabilities. Flower Queen was bragging about herself as she watched the clone continuously dodge the attacks.

It only took around 30 minutes of random walking. They didn't have to worry about a single trap. Emile attempted to open the cellar doors.

[They locked the cellar door behind a switch; find the switch to open the doors]

"We have to look for a switch?" Nimble Rod asked.

"I think so," Emile said.

"All right, let's wander around the place," Emile said.

They walked to the shelves to see if there was anything out of the ordinary. They couldn't find anything after touching and moving things around.

"Hmm," Scarlet Sunset said.

We should check out the areas which shot out the traps," Scarlet Sunset suggested to the party.

"We have nothing better to do, so I'll follow your suggestion," Time Walker replied with a shrug.

They looked at the locations with the traps.

"You don't think It might be deeper in the first hole that we fell through," FBS Fulcron said with a shiver. They would have wasted time if it was at the bottom of the hole. He said this after they examined a few locations with traps.

"Let's hope it's not down there," Emile said.

They continued to look at areas that summoned a trap for the clone of Flower Queen to dodge. The party arrived at the first trap with the dart. They walked towards the place which shot the trap at Flower Queen's clone.

Emile examined the location and found a small switch. It was like a light switch from the 21st century. Old and outdated.

Emile flicked the switch down.

[The door to the basement is now open]

A wave of relief flowed through Emile as heard the announcement. The switch wasn't in the first hole that they escaped from. They were glad that they didn't need to explore the hole.

The party walked back to the cellar. Emile opened the cellar once more. He completed the sub-quest that they game with it.

They walked down the dark and dreary steps. The steps seemed endless as they continued walking down.

They soon reached the bottom. There was a sharp light at the bottom of the steps. They could see a guy trying hard on some machine.

The man spun around and spotted the party.

"I've been expecting you people," the man announced as he lifted his glasses with his fingers.

"I'm glad you could make it this far. I wanted to see you die. Come out Doom Cyborg!" The man yelled.

Emile's party took out their weapons and prepared for a fight. A heavy sound of a footstep grew closer. Thump. Thump.

A large open chamber located to the left of the machine revealed a person. They man made the cyborg half human, half robot.

The man looked at the party and beckoned them to enter the chamber. Emile's party didn't budge and stood there with their weapons in their hand.

The cyborg became angry and charged forward.

"Not here!" the man shouted out.

The cyborg stopped.

The man tinkered with a few machines and teleported the party and cyborg into a new location. It wasn't a true teleportation since the man could teleport them far away from the warehouse if it was.

The man created a virtual fight field. And the winner would be released from the zone. He couldn't trap them indefinitely since there were many ways of breaking the virtual zone. The zone would lift after one side died.

It was a true fight to the death. Emile's party didn't think that they would be sent into a life or death scenario out of nowhere. There was no retreat in the virtual zone.

The Cyborg stood still as it adjusted to his surroundings. Emile identified the Cyborg to check if they stood a chance against this beast.
