2 Reincarnated.

When Aster opened her eyes, she winced.

The bright light casting from the windows burned into her eyes, making her close them the very next second.

It took her a few attempts to adjust to the light and when she did, the first thing she saw was a white ceiling.

'Where am I?' she thought in bewilderment.

The ceiling in her castle is not white but rich Italian marble.

'Maybe I am in one of the safe houses.' She convinced herself but deep down she knows that it is just her wishful thinking.

Back then, when they heard the gunshot, Aster and Victor knew that they were getting ambushed.

Left with no option as they were outnumbered, her fiance, Victor urged Aster to go to a safe house which is situated in the west of the mountain.

It is the only choice Victor had to keep her safe till her grandfather sends his people to save her.

Aster was reluctant to leave her fiance behind but she had no option.

Victor was firm with his decision. He distracted the enemies and bought her enough time to reach safety. At least, that is what he hoped for.

Unfortunately, Aster couldn't recall what happened after she reached the safe house Victor mentioned.

It is as if that part of memory got erased from her mind completely. Her head could only ache when she tried to remember.

Ignoring the pain in her head, Aster tried to speak but the dryness in her mouth and the burning sensation in her throat restrained her voice.

'Was I in a coma?' Aster wondered.

She wouldn't be feeling this lethargic and weary if she woke up after a short period of black out.

This only left her with the assumption that she has been in a long sleep.

Aster propped on her elbows and slowly sat up on the bed, resting her back on the hard headboard. And, it was when she noticed something different about her body.

Her arms were pudgy and not only her arms but whole body looked chubby.

'Did I become fat while I was in a coma?' Aster thought.

As the granddaughter of a general and was raised up in a strict family, staying fit and strong is one of the important aspects.

She isn't sad that she is fat but is more concerned because her grandfather would definitely put her into a tough schedule to become fit again!!

It scared her the most.

Chucking this thought away, Aster managed to shift to sit on the edge of the bed and started to remove the IV drip and other instruments attached to her.

But, something started to bother her all again.

Her hand movements are not as nimble as before and it felt strange - It felt as if she was in a different body.

Although Aster knows that it is impossible and unrealistic, she couldn't erase that thought from her mind. This body felt strange and unfamiliar to her.

With that lame yet frightening thought lingering in her brain, Aster hastened her way out of the bed but as soon as her feet touched the ground, she lost her balance, another evidence that she was on the bed for so long.

Holding the edge of the bedside table, Aster managed to stand and after regaining her balance, she walked to the restroom taking the support of the wall.

'God, let me be fine.' she prayed as she managed to walk to the mirror hanging above the sink.

However, when she dared to look into the mirror, her mind went blank.

Her prayers burned to ashes as she looked horridly at the reflection of a total stranger in the mirror.

Her charming sapphire blue eyes are replaced by equally elegant emerald green eyes.

Her natural, long, red hair is replaced by the shoulder length, wavy, ash blonde hair.

Her face is chubby and the features are charismatic and attractive but they are hidden because of the plumpy cheeks, ungroomed eyebrows and stressed skin.

This girl has good features and she could be a beauty if she had taken proper care of herself.

Aster was flabbergasted and overwhelmed by these abrupt changes that her mind went blank. This time not metaphorically but literally.

She lost her consciousness and fainted with a loud 'thud' on the restroom floor.
