Naomi was in pain and she couldn't even move due to her limbs broken, She just screamed as loud as she could. Her broken bones were getting back inside while her muscle would tear itself apart and rebuild itself with a speed visible to naked eyes. Her small wounds had been healed a long time ago.

as she was screaming and breathing heavily in between, dust started to form a human figure beside her and after a second, Alex appeared! Naomi didn't know if she should be happy or not but right now she needed help.

The moment Alex appeared, he knelt and pressed his right hand on Naomi's chest. It was a good feeling but right now Alex couldn't let his imagination run wild, he needed to focus! Slowly his hand shone blue and Naomi could feel a hot and refreshing feeling wash over her body. The pain faded away and the healing process got faster. out of nowhere, a notification appeared in front of Naomi

Right now Naomi could move her hand that was broken, most of her body was healed except her legs and back. She just laid there and looked at Alex. 'Why is he helping me? Am I dreaming? No, It can't be, I'm feeling pain.'

Alex, on the other hand, was feeling his life-force taken away. This 'Serpent of Life' was an earring that Alex found in that cave along with three other items. Alex didn't get chosen by this earring so using it had a side effect. Alex's eyes were closed and he was sweating a lot and because of that, he couldn't see the notifications in front of him.

After nine minutes of focus and draining his vitality, Alex laid on the floor, clinging to the last bit of energy he had. Naomi on the other hand looked to be in a good condition. She stood up slowly and moved her body, they were perfectly fine. Naomi came beside Alex, grabbed him, and with a lot of effort she carried Alex on her shoulder.

After an hour or so, Naomi reached her grandparent's house. the sky was dark and the moon was shining brightly, Alex on the other hand was sleeping on her back. If it wasn't for her little adventures, she couldn't make it back home and would have gotten lost in the woods the moment the sunset.

On the way back, she thought about the things that happened so far. She had made a contract with a stranger for eternity! she got super powerful and she could see some notifications about her situations. although the system said that magic was locked, she could feel she can use magic sooner than she thought. In all, everything was good but there was a feeling deep inside her mind that bugged her on the way back.

She needed an explanation, a good and complete explanation of her situation and the mess she had put herself in. She decided to take Alex to her home and talk to him after he woke up.

Her grandparent's house was big, bigger than her parent's house in the city. She didn't go through the main door because right now, her clothes were ripped apart and bloody. She didn't know how she would explain so she decided to sneak in, as she always did!

Her room's window was at the back of the house. She left Alex on the floor beneath the window of her room and climbed up. Naomi always sneaked away in the middle of the night or even when she was feeling down so it was fairly easy for her to climb up even in the meantime.

She went inside and came in front of her mirror to see how bad she looked. Her silver hair was dirty and her top and her sweat pants were torn to pieces and red from her blood. She took out her clothes as fast as she could and put them under her bed to deal with them later. She grabbed a new and clean top and sweatpants and wore them, she combed her hair and it looked a little bit better.

'You are a superhuman now, come on! It is only a little bit acting you can do it!' Naomi encouraged herself and went down the stairs to say hi to her grandparents.

Her grandmother was sitting on the sofa looking at her phone while her grandfather was watching a soccer match and cursing from time to time. Naomi slowly went toward the main door of the house to fake her arrival. She opened the door slowly and closed it hardly.

"I'm Home, Bunny." Naomi turned around and saw her grandmother, Aida, was looking at her on top of her glasses.

'Shit, I'm in trouble.' Naomi knew that she was in trouble now.

"Where have you been Mimi?' Aida didn't pay any more attention to Naomi and got back to her phone.

"Oh come on woman. Leave my sweetheart alone." Naomi's grandfather, Antonio, stood up from his chair and walked to Naomi.

'Oh he is coming…what do I do?' Naomi thought as she played with her fingers.

"Let's grab a drink, my team is winning. We are 2-0" Antonio put his hand around Naomi's shoulder and they both walked to the kitchen. As soon as they reached the kitchen, Antonio said with a smile "so tell me where have you been? Why is your hair dirty? Tell me or I can't save you from that old witch."

Naomi would have laughed if a self-claimed mage wasn't outside her house. "Nothing…I…I was just running… yeah just running," Naomi said and laughed awkwardly.

Suddenly their doorbell rang!

"I will answer," Aida shouted.

And after some moment, Aida said "Naomi, one of your friends is here."

As long as Naomi could remember, she didn't have any friends in this village. Who could it be? 'Don't tell me…ugh f**k' Naomi thought.

She came out of the kitchen and saw Alex talking with her grandmother. She walked faster "oh hey Alex, where have you been? Let's talk outside." And before Aida could say anything, Naomi stormed out of the door and closed it behind.

"That was a boy huh?" Antonio stood beside Aida and asked.

"Yup… a boy…" Aida said in a low voice.

"You sure?" Antonio asked but Aida gave him a glance that ripped his heart out of his chest.

"Why did you knock? You should have just stayed there" Naomi said as she pulled Alex to the woods.

"You left me. What else would I do?" Alex took his hand and said.

"I didn't leave you I wanted to take you to my room so we can talk," Naomi answered.

"Yeah like the last time you left me alone," Alex grunted.

"I'm…I didn't know what to do" Naomi wanted to say sorry but didn't, for some reason.

"Look I'm stuck here, I cant get back to my world. Can you understand it? I'm lost. Ugh, Lucifer!" Alex was feeling lost more than ever. He sat down beside the tree, frustrated.

Naomi went and sat beside him and said "there is a lot that you are gonna explain."

From the window of their kitchen, Antonio and Aida were stalking the due with binoculars.

"He hasn't touched Mimi yet, has he?" Aida asked while holding a shotgun in her hands.

"Everything Clear, nothing happened… yet," Antonio said while holding the binoculars.

Alex started to tell Naomi his side of the story, how weak he was but at the same time powerful, how others called him a freak and didn't want to befriend him. Alex started to explain his world. It was a world of magic, full of life and adventures. Demons were real and they even lived in peace with humans. how Demons looked a lot like humans with some small differences.

At first, Naomi was curious but now she was shocked to the bone. This person in front of him was a demon, A Familiar! Everything started to make sense now, the power, the magic, everything!

Alex finished speaking but Naomi was so shocked that she didn't notice when he stopped. A lot was going on in her mind, it was like a door has been opened to her that was only visible in her dreams. Alex saw Naomi and decided to stay silent. As Professor Achilles said: Demons only lived in Aurus so it was normal for Naomi to act like this.

Naomi never was a religious person, she wanted to try everything and sometimes everything was the red line of god. When she first heard demon she got curious because this demon had saved her life and even granted him superpowers.

Naomi was excited more than scared. Life was boring for someone like her. She was smart, beautiful, and almost had anything because of her parents' business. Naomi didn't have any purpose in life so finding something like this was exciting for her.

"You see, you could have said that sooner. I wouldn't have acted like an idiot." after some moments, Naomi looked at Alex and said.

"So you say you are willing to be mine for eternity? And let me tell you something, You are immortal now! At least as long as I live and I am immortal….so…" Alex said.

For a second Naomi didn't say anything, an awkward silence appeared! Alex understood he had said something awkward so he changed the topic as fast as he could

"Now tell me your side of the story? How was your life? How does this world look like" Alex said while clearing his throat.

Naomi rolled her eyes at him and started to explained how her life has been. Her parents had a global trade company and she was the only child they had. From the moment she could remember, Naomi had everything she wanted and lived life to its fullest. right now because of the pandemic, Naomi was living with her grandparents.

"You see, My life is not dreams and magic, it's normal," Naomi said.

Naomi then started explaining Earth and its culture. How humans didn't like demons and prayed to some god, what humans liked, or what herself liked. Alex was amazed because these things were so new to him that he didn't feel weak or useless now, he was just feeling curious. He was happy for the first time in a while.

Naomi explained how a virus has appeared and made humans life harder. Alex was amazed how human would eat anything! In Aurus, Demons and humans only ate beast meat or magical plants because other food would make their bodies dirty and a dirty body was bad for using magic.

Alex didn't interrupt Naomi once and let her talk her heart out. He liked it because Alex didn't like talking, on the other hand, he just listened and visualized everything.

Naomi saw the look on Alex face, a look of amazement! She was worried that right now he might have made her new friend bored. So she said "I have talked too much, didn't I?" As soon as she said that a notification appeared In front of both of them.
