1 Chapter 1: Tian Yang

Inside a White Hall, two fuzzy figures sat on a rock made of golden jade side by side.

"Young master, we are almost done. We have completed the eighth reincarnation and can achieve my master's wishes. I'm so excited… HAHAHA…" The elderly man's ancient voice resounded inside the Hall.

SIGH…

"… yeah, we did it. It took us so much time. One last step and we will start our last journey." The young man said in a quiet voice, but the old man notices a bit of sadness from the tone of his voice.

"Young master… you know that we cannot risk the work of the last years for them…" The old man said in a low voice and added after a bit: "And there are still some of them waiting for your return."

The face of the young man kept changing between joy, sorrow and anger.

"I know what are you trying to do, but after all they are my lovers, our sentiments run too deep. Even if you are not a human being, after so many years you should at least understand, how much I love them… We collected their soul. We can try that meth-" The young man tried to persuade the old man.

"NO!!!" The old man shouted, but then sighed with a bit of sadness.

"I knew, we shouldn't keep their souls…" The old man said with a bit of gloom.

After a few minutes of silence, the young man stood up and began walking towards a strange crystal, which thanks to the light of the star in sky, kept changing color with every step that the young man took.

The young man placed his palm on the crystal and a few balls of different light began dancing within, as if to respond to his touch.

"Xiao Liang, Xiao Yao, please tell me what to do…" The young man said in a gentle voice, to the orbs of light.

As if they wanted to answer to the voice, one ball shook and release a warm light. Unfortunately, no noise came out.

After a slight sigh, the young man moved with determination on top of a small platform with eight little altars, placed in a circle, each one with a ball of various colors, that released qi of distinct type except for one.

The youth sat in the middle of the platform and closed his eyes, waiting for the old man to start the ritual.

The old man approached slowly the platform, but after a bit he began walking in the air, like if stairs were in front of him.

"Maybe when we reach that immortal land, we can resurrect them… the genuine power formed by the combination of the nine qi, can create a miracle." The old man said.

"Anyway, it's time to move on to the last phase of our plan." The old man said with a bit of excitement: "We have to extract the Heavenly Vein of wind qi. The process will hurt a lot, you need to endure, sorry but I can't help you."

"It's fine, let's get started." The young man said with no change of expression.

"Mmm…" The old man nodded.

The White Hall lit up and the countless columns with strange shapes inside the space released various element qi toward the platform.

The orb of light blue color, from one altar, rose and move above the head of the youth.

A strong wind started blowing in the room, the black hairs of the young man began moving upward, almost touching the sphere.

Strings of light blue energy came out of his body, and the orb turned brighter gradually.

In the meantime, the old man didn't realize that minor fractures were forming on the surface of the crystal.

'Sorry old friend but I don't want to live with regret, knowing that I could reunite with them, paying a small price.' the young man thought.

There was no change in the youth as he was completely focused on controlling the wisp of energy released earlier inside the crystal.

"We've shifted all the power of wind qi from your body inside the orb." The old man said and explained: "For the last reincarnation we need to find a body with inborn Heavenly Vein of Time qi the rarest of all… It will be hard."

"We found even the inborn body with the Heavenly Vein of Space qi and anyway they've already sent some people into the Mortal Realm, so it shouldn't be that hard to find at least one." The young man said.

When the youth mentioned that group of people the old man's face changed to one of disgust and ridicule.

"Over the last thousands of years, the two Realms lived through a period of peace, but from now on thing will change. Whenever the limit is exceeded a bit of the seal on the Ancient Door will dissipate and the remnant from the Evil Race will make their move." The old man said.

"It's been so long and over the last years new Supreme Gods are born in each race. The wave of enemies won't appear all together, so there should be no problem to contain them. Anyway, it's better to start." The young man said.

"Ok. It will take me ten years to recover some of my power… naturally, if nothing goes wrong." The old man recited an ancient verse and after a while the young man's soul came out from the body.

CRACK, CRACK, CRACK

But at some point a strange noise came from behind the old man.

Turning around, he saw that the crystal was shattered and a group of orbs was floating into the sky.

The old man's face turned white and started cursing: "DAMN, what the hell did you do?"

"Allow them to reincarnate with me. If it's fate, we'll meet again." The young man said with a pleading voice.

"Stupid, all the energy reserve accumulated over the years, for your last life will be lost. You won't even know where or when… they will be reborn. You want to leave all to the fate… FINE… but If we force the process of reincarnation with all these souls, you will be reborn maybe in different time." The old man said in an angry voice.

"What do you mean?" The young man asked with surprise.

"Are you really so surprise? You need to find the right body for your soul. They were all exceptional people. If they can't find a perfect body with a similar bloodline, even I don't know what could happen." The old man answered.

"Well…" The young man tried to say something with a worried face, but was interrupted by the old man: "You can't choose, let's finish this crap and pray for a miracle."

With a powerful wave of energy, all the souls inside the hall started the process of reincarnation.

The power of the nine elements inside almost disappeared, leaving just a little energy for the poor old man.

The only things still inside the hall were the eight bright orbs and the old man, who sighed, after the souls disappears: "Damn you, Tian… Yang…"
