2 Oh look, a wild Chapter 1

"...I want to first check something with you, if that is alright?"

"Oh ho, very brave of you to question a god's will."

"Well, if being brave means to check the user manual on how to use a new gadget, then yeah."

"Very...creative form of comparison, to compare like so. Very well, I shall tell you the basics of what you need to know about that world."

"The basics eh? Is it because of some "Divine Will" keeping you from spoiling too much to people like me?"

She coughed a little when I asked her that, attempting to move on by only passively acknowledging it.

"Even if it is like you guess, it wouldn't be too much fun to watch you have too many advantages. That said, I shall now explain what you need to know."

At that, I opened my ears and cleaned them, as I sat down cross-legged infront of her, listening attentively.

"...Oi. Aren't you too relaxed? Ah whatever. There are many functions from VR that will be brought over, but there will be 3 basic functions that are completely new and have never appeared in a VR game before in your world.

These 3 are Unique Skills, Custom Skills, and World Management.

Following the order they were named, I shall now describe each function's description if only to allow you to gain some sort of ability to utilize them, the rest needing you to learn and discover on your own.

The first, Un-"

"Wait, does that mean that the rest of the world won't have any knowledge om how to utilize these functions at all?"

"Shush, don't interrupt me. And yes, the from the moment they are integrated with the system, they will have to discover everything on their own. Which is why giving you the knowledge on them beforehand is already as much as I can tell you. Now let me continue."

"Oh, ok. Sorry, please do."

"Picking up from where you so rudely interrupted me at," she said with an icy glare at me, a little bit of cold sweat forming on my forehead due to a...primal instinct of self-preservation? Scary. "Unique Skills are skills exclusive to each person, with only 1 of each in existence. Now, that doesn't mean that there are an infinite number of different skills, because that will be a pain to design. No, instead, they will all share some similarities with other skills.

Naturally, this is to make it such that there are groups of skills that share one or more similarities with one another. Similar to magic, in which each elemental magic is based on one base non-elemental form, with only an element signature to differentiate between the different types of elemental magic. Like how fire and ice are two different types of magic, but both share similarities in how the magic has to be cycled and gathered in order to be converted and/or used in spells. But those types of non-elemental magicians are rare, so not much to worry about, but that is beside the point.

Second is the Custom Skills, which can be created by anyone. This doesn't mean that there are large amounts of skills that can be created, no, people only have a set amount of skills they can created based on their level. Naturally, unwanted skills can be deleted, to make space for better skills. However, not many people will choose to use this even if they could, because use of this requires them to have a prerequisite amount of talent, training, willpower and imagination in order to create strong skills. So even if one succeeds in creating a skill, if any is lacking too much, the skill will be too weak, hence they would be more likely to stick with the generic skills that can be gained through normal means."

"Oh, so a type of system that can weed out the weak from the strong, the talented from the untalented, the strong of will from the weak of will and whatnot right? Is this all preparation for some sort of invasion?"

"Geuk."

"So it seems to be the case."

"M-moving on, World Management. Honestly, this one should be of a higher grading, but since everyone can have at least one it's grading got degraded to basic.

Anyway, World Management is basically about managing your inner world. Like in some cultivation stories, where they form worlds in them to gain benefits. Except this one is different, in a sense.

The world everyone forms initially contains the entirety of their soul, so it is of the highest grade compared to worlds formed without the soul. Of course, you can increase the grades of worlds you form after your first through special means to be equal to or even surpass the grade of the first world.

Getting back on track, the benefits of these worlds is that they all contribute to the growth of your soul, in strength, size and purity."

"Hmm...why is the soul growth important?"

"Good question. To answer simply, the soul measures a individual's potential and talent. There are different shapes, sizes, and even colours of souls. These all determine the type of talent, strength of potential for growth as well as speed of development, and elemental affinity (or affinities) of the soul, and hence the person with the soul.

For example, Heroes usually have unusually large souls which allow them quick growth with ample room to grow still. Most usually have multiple affinities, with a soul shape that is rarely seen."

"Ah, that's really interesting. Just curious, but what is my soul like?"

"I shouldn't really be telling you, but it looks like the author god does not mind this."

"Oh really?"

"Let me have a look then, hold still."

With that, I sat perfectly still, back straight and all.

"Good gods of old..." the goddess was quiet for a while, until she muttered under her breath in great surprise.

"What is it?"

"I am not sure if I should even let you reincarnate or not."

"Oi, I still want to live. Also, please just tell me what you saw."

"Alright fine. From what I saw, your soul has the potential to reach a never-before-seen level. You have the highest grade affinity with all elements, and your soul shape seems to be the comprehension-exponential growth type."

"Explain in a manner the readers can understand."

"Basically, your soul is brokenly overpowered, to the point none in history have ever had more than one of your soul traits at any point in the history of reincarnation. Just one would have made you into Saitama levels of strength eventually, but you have all."

"I...guess...that's good?"

*sigh* "Alright, now that I have explained to you the basic functions, just tell me what type of ability you want, so you can become EVEN MORE overpowered."

"Come on, it's nothing like that. I just wanted to ask you to allow me to design my body's genetic makeup to remove any flaws I would have over there, and naturally also make me more handsome."

"...you narcissistic genius. Not only do you want a perfect body, you only want it to win girls' hearts."

"Of course, life is too boring if I am only to fight everyday, without even occasionally indulging in some pleasure."

"Disgusting."

"Now now, it will only be with girls whom are in my harem."

"...*sigh*...anything else? If not, I'll send you over now."

"Nothing much, just let me skip over the first year of life, I want some time to be able to adjust to the new life. Oh and give me great physical and mental talents, at least on or above genius levels."

"Alright alright, get lost now." she told me with undisguised mock disgust at me. Clutching at my chest in feigned pain, I walked through the door she summoned to lead me to the other world.

..."So it begins, huh, my husband." the goddess of death sighed to herself as she faded out of the room.
