1 The Beginning

5 years ago Roulander Kingdom and Guttenbrick Kingdom have been declaring their peace after an all-out war that happened for more than 3 years. They were now an alliance Kingdom. Gunderfalt Kingdom, a big masive country ruled alongside Guttenbrick Kingdom also declaring their peace towards several Kingdom.

On the border side of Gunderfalt Kingdom, a small village called Toren were having some parties. The village were so small, it looked more like a family than a village, it consist around 5 families. One of the villager's family was giving born to a child, the child was called Leo, Leonard. He was accompanied by one of his friend, a young 3 month old boy, Erago. And also a girl which still on her mother's womb, 8 months later and she would be born, she would be called Evelyn. The village was having a big party for 1 week after the last kid was born this year.

Leonard, Erago, and Evelyn grew old together. They hear stories, fairy tales, legends, and histories together from the elders.

The elders once told them a story where there're only a few Gods left alive. The rest of them were died in the battle of Gods decades ago.

Here, in this world. Gods were just entities, a people called God doesn't mean he's strong, its only a nickname. They were an entity that were destinied to be powerful but at the same time weak. Sometimes their weakness also were their powers. Gods had their own abilities, a human and any other living beings could become Gods by enhancing themselves beyond limits, when they were so powerful, they usually called as Gods by some people, and they usually asked for protection or blessings.

So it could be said that God was also depends on how strong normal beings were, if the normal beings were strong, well, people that wanted to be called as Gods needed to act far more aggressive.

Leonard and Erago always do things together, they went to the nearest forest. The forest were small but filled with wild life. They went hunting some beast with their fathers, they were trained to hunt since they were 5 years old. Now they could hunt some small beasts.

Leo realized that went hunting were making him stronger, he also felt that his power and stamina keep increasing everytime he kills a small beast, he tried to kill the small beasts with such coordination and tactics, this makes his skills increased.

For Evelyn, the elders and her father tried to train her archery, and she looked quite gifted at archery.

At their 12th Leonard, Erago, and Evelyn have to go searched a school that suit them the most. There're only the Magic Academy, and Normal Academy. Erago as the oldest among the others, choose to join the Magic Academy, but its only a luck that they could join the Magic Academy. Leonard and Evelyn also choose to join the Magic Academy, if the Magic Academy doesn't accepted them, unfortunately they can't move to the Normal Academy since the time to register an academy has passed. If not Knight Academy, so they could just go farming with their father.

The Magic Academy was on the central of the Kingdom. Leonard, Erago, and Evelyn say goodbye to their parents and went to the central Kingdom using a wagon. The travel needs around 4 hours to enter the central.

They arrived at the central of the Kingdom which were really crowded. The sight was astonishing, Leo saw a strange man, its also hard to see him since the place were really crowded. The man was tall and muscular. He weared black cloak and hide his face with a mask. The man was acting strange, he seperated himself from the crowd and went to a dark alley where it was actually dark and cold. The man looks back and forth checking just in case that no one spying him. He took out his bag and take an elegant looking staff.

"[Shadow Bind]" Leonard who has spying the man all the time hear him whispered some sort of 'spell'.

Unfortunately Leonard who has no idea what magics are found it was just a nonsense weird thing. But Leonard found his best friends Erago and Evelyn can't move their body, but they could still talk. Everybody around them also can't move their body. Its only Leo that could move his body easily. As Leonard searched for help, he only saw people freezing in place, not even one man could outstand the spell, except for him. Leo has been searching for help for a long time, until he saw a man and a woman who do their normal activities. They're around their 20's. The woman was cooking at her kitchen while the man was watching an old television in the living room.

Leonard knock the door hard and scream for help. The man that watched the television simply walked toward the door slowly, annoyed he opened the door.

"What can I help you?" The man simply talk. Even if Leo didn't know anything about spell and magics, he could see that the man's mana flow was big and also intense, it was visible with naked eyes.

"I don't know what, people were frozen, they didn't move, they couldn't move, they were...." Leonard spoke really fast that the man need some time to logic the sentence. The man walked outside and saw that everyone was freezing. The man only took some sort of device and talk to it, just like a phone.

...

"I don't know. When can I move to Guttenbrick?" That's the only sentence Leo could hear.

"Ok kid, do you know what kind of spell did the man used, and what kind of man.... if he is a man.... was doing this. Tell me everything you know." The man change his tone from the lazy one to the nice and calm one. Leonard told everything that he knows and see about the man and the staff.

....

"Calm down, calm down. Take it easy." Leo's story grew even more confusing, his voice started fading, he also spoke in full speed.

"You don't even think that I was group with him? And why don't you asked my name? Also you don't even confused on how I don't freeze like the others?" These questions make Leo having a nightmares. Leo was stunned until he answered the question with plain tone and expression, "I don't even know how I'm not freezing."

"How old are you?" The man asked while walking to the direction where Leo first saw the man that using the staff and chanted a high level spell. "12" Leo answered, making the man felt trolled.

"Anyway, my name's Ron. That man that you saw using the staff could be one of the rebels. After a long time, Gunderfalt and the Roulander Kingdom declaring their peace, there're the rebels that declined the peace by making mess everywhere. You gonna need some time to process that kind of conflict." Leo who's only 12 could barely understand what Ron was saying, Ron simply giggled seeing Leo's innocent and confused face.

"You stayed here." On Ron's hand, a big sword was made by a simple mana that he has. The sword was simple and small, it was used to dodge and it's easy to wield it. Ron dodge some invisible arrows that head toward Leo and him. The archer who realize that he's no match for Ron immediately fall back and dissappeared. The rebels even though they're making mess everywhere, their purpose was slowing down times, they were making a mess to distract the King to came out from his hiding spot.

"What happened? Anyway your food is ready." Said the woman that was with Ron before.

"Just the rebels." Ron take a glance at every people, everyone already released from the spell and do everything as nothing happened before. They already knew this could happened anytime, this was a part of their routine. But its just disturbing if they couldn't do anything and simply stands in the most discomforting way.

Lucy and Ron said farewell to Leo which immediately having a reunion with his childhood friends. As everything get back to normal instantly, Leo, Erago and Evelyn went to the receptionist. Unfortunately, the Magic Academy was already full.

"What if we asked the man called Ron to teach us?" Leo remembered on how did Ron change his mana to a sword.

"We can't Leo. He's a stranger. We went to the magic academy to gain certificate, not just training." Erago who's literally older understand the meaning of joining the academy, but that doesn't mean he's smart.

Long story short, Leo, Evelyn, and Erago have their own path. Each path end up tragic.

Erago went to the Knight academy end up forced to join a war of orcs while he wasn't ready. He only survived for 1 month.

Evelyn went with Leo trained by Ron who actually just searching to fill up his spare time.

The war between the orcs take place for around 6 month. Leo and Evelyn immediately shocked after hearing the tragic story of his best friend that haven't give him message for more than 6 month. Leo got desperate, he wants to blame Erago, but he wants to blame himself also. And he blames Ron for not helping a war but having... a spare time.

1 year has passed, Leo's vengeance hasn't disappeared yet. Leo tried to run away from Ron several times to take revenge from the orcs. Leo got even more desperated, he challenge Ron to a deathmatch, a duel until death. Ron didn't feel sorry on Leo, but instead he was sorry for Evelyn. Ron understand how missing someone they love feels like, it was hard, but it was harder to forget that. And it reminds him of someone that he knew before, 'Jack'.

Ron makes Leo's pain slowly faded, he also kills him quick, bad things happened and Leo has to forget that, but little did Ron knows. Leo countered the spell that should erased his memories. Leo dies at Ron hands, Lucy and Ron got confused on what to say to Evelyn. She already lose 2 best friends already and she hasn't even forget the first one.

First thing that Ron wanted is to lie to Evelyn, but his teacher once told him whatever they do, never lies, especially to a child.

"Seriously Ron?" The sound of man could be heard. "What?" Ron answered.

"You have made a bad mistake." The man continued. "I have no choice." Ron shrugged his shoulders.

"Don't you dare say that. He's a reincarnated. There's still a better choice."

...

"Don't do anything stupid....again."
