5 My dear friend

An old woman in her late 60s, visited the airport. She wasn't feeling well, for the past few days. So, the officers made her wait, until she was comfortable to travel.

The airport was hectic at that time. Some were busy checking-in , some were conversing about the latest episode of their favourite series, some were taking selfies, the adults were gossipping , no matter whatever happened few families sat there quiet and there was laughter all around the waiting hall 'cause of the group of youngsters.

While everyone was busy with their own affairs, a kiddo sat there with a sad face, as there was no one to play with him. But the one who noticed him, was the sick grandma. Inorder to grab his attention, she asked the boy whether he loves superheroes. He replied that he would love to hear stories of the great Warriors. She then started narrating the stories, soon after both started playing.

Rather than being in a worrisome state, she played with the kid joyfully. The kiddo showed his favourite toys, the grandma offered him chocolates and so they became very good friends irrespective of their age difference.

While they were playing, all of a sudden, the grandma stooped her head down. The boy waked her up, but she didn't lift her head up. Suddenly, she made a harsh and gruff sound. This frightened the boy and so he ran to his mother's arms.

People nearby noticed the old woman, sitting in a terrifying pose. They got puzzled by her sudden behaviour. People gathered around due to curiosity. Few youngsters mustered up their courage and went forward to talk with her. But she sat there, with her head still stooped down and fingers slightly crooked. She breathed heavily that sounded hoarse and her activities were similar to a possessed one.

People glanced at her, with their eyes wide open and their bodies shaked in fear. All of a sudden, the old woman raised her head and screamed furiously with the hands on her head.

On the sight of her face, people ran here and there, out of extreme trepidation. Her face looked frightful, with the nerves visible all over the face, with the eyes that looked evil and she completely resembled the ogress.

It was at that moment, Emily came near the crowd. Bewildered by the peoples sudden rush towards her, she stood there startled. Thank goodness, with the help of Mark, she escaped from getting hurt. Mark helped Emily to reach Clara and her family safely.

The security forces gaurded the people who remained in the waiting hall. They captured the old woman and she was sent to the medical detention center. People got thrilled by the sudden incident and the waiting hall was in chaos. Then the authorities came forward, explained the situation to the people and they made them calm. After that, the whole hall remained silent, that people could even hear each others heartbeat.

The sudden occurence made further delay in the travel. As time passed by, people calmed themselves and they began chatting again.

But, Emily wasn't able to control her heartbeat. She felt weak, her hands and legs were numb due to fear. Inorder to divert her thoughts, she took her sketch book and began to draw, which illustrated, what she'd gone through that day. Few hours later, people were asked to board in the aircraft. They were given extra time even after boarding.

People sat in their respective places. The millitary soldiers took time, to make sure whether everyone was present. At that time, Emily remembered something.

"Clara, I missed my sketch book. I'll go and check in the waiting hall", saying Emily stood up from her seat.

"Don't go there Emily! There's no one in the waiting hall. It's not safe for you. You could probably buy another one, when we go to the Island", Clara stopped her by holding her hand.

"No Clara! I can't do that. It's my most precious posession. You can't understand my fondness towards the book. It contains all the drawings of mine, since childhood. Let me go!", Emily took Clara 's hands off from her and ran towards the exit.

She went straight to the officials and asked for permission. The officials nodded and rejected her request. As she kept on insisting, they sent two soldiers with her and asked her to be on time.

The officials didn't allow her parents to go with her. Instead, they were granted permission to stand near the exit door and watch her. Clara's family too joined them.

The soldiers took Emily to the waiting hall. They stopped near the elevator and allowed Emily to go down. She got down and searched for the book. She was scared to walk alone in the dark, as there were only fewer lights on. There was absolute silence in the hall, that it echoed her footsteps.

She then, remembered that, she'd left the book on the chair before boarding. She rushed to the place and hopefully spotted the book. Emily took the sketch book and checked it . She was relieved to find it and she gave a bright smile, while holding the book on her chest. Suddenly, she felt like someone standing behind her.

She thought that it might be the soldiers. But when Emily looked ahead, she got shocked to see the soldiers still in that position.

She was terrified, unable to move nor to turn back. She heard heavy breathing sound, close to her ears. Out of fear, her body got drenched up in sweat and her legs shooked. Both the soldiers noticed the presence of someone behind her. They got down the elevator immediately and ran close to her. The soldiers who stood in front of her, made a hand gesture to stay freeze. From the gesture, Emily understood that she was in danger.

At the same time, the soldiers in the aircraft were in utter confusion to find out a person missing. He was a middle-aged man, with a family of two children. The chief ordered the soldiers to make a quick search.

On seeing the wierd man behind Emily, both the family's had gone haywire. As her parents were nervous, they kept on pestering the officials and soldiers around them, to do something inorder to protect their daughter. Clara couldn't control herself, she began praying, so that Emily could return safe. Clara's parents got into dispute with the authorities, to let them go near Emily.

Meanwhile, the soldiers spoke to Emily in undertone. They told her that the person's activities seemed like a infected one. They'd asked her to be careful and not to move. Emily wasn't able to stand anymore in the same position. So, she took a wrong decision to make a step forward, inorder to move away from him.

As soon as she made a step forward, something unexpected happened , which shook up the soldiers as well as the family members...
