17 A new life
It was a beautiful day at july, with a cool breeze touching the warmth island. That was an ordinary day for all the people at ARI except for our protagonist.
It was a breathtaking day to Jason and his family, as he was about to recieve his medical report that day.
Jason's family, friends and relatives gathered at the hospital to get the results. While they waited anxiously, a nurse came out of the lab. She went straight to Clara and Chris and handed over them a bright red report, with a very bold captions on it saying,
"RARE Eye Phenomenon".
The Report cover looked completely bizarre and different from ordinary one's.
Emily gently pressed Clara's shoulders, as her hands trembled in fear while recieving the report.
"Be bold, Clara! Jason will be alright!", Emily comforted her dear friend by her gentle words.
A deadly fear was seen on every relatives face and they all sat frozen. Jason pretented to be cool , but his heart pounded thousand times faster than the others.
Jason maddox got a new life after the incident, as his eyes worked on contrary, to each other. One eye worked normal and the other had abnormal vision. Jason didn't share his conditions to others and stayed silent until his reports arrived.
(Clara and Chris opened the report and read aloud...)

[ " RARE EYE PHENOMENON: A phenomenon that happens due to artificial powerful resources, that has the power to manipulate ones brain functions and organ functionalities to its form. Patient 550 Jason maddox is subjected to have attacked by it. An extravagant powerful force had attacked his right eye, captivating his eye and taking control of it. The unknown form might be advanced and harmful technology.
Issues: Patients right eye might cause serious and unusual changes to his vision and body.
Cause: The change of pearl blue eye is due to the attack of positively charged electric power, that can also be used as human weapon, scanner and power destructor.
Health State: Patient's body looks heathy with stable heart beat, pulse rate, blood circulation and oxygen supply"]
The report gave good and bad news at the same time. All the family members questioned and pleaded Jason to tell them his real state after the incident. But Jason kept his mouth shut as if its glued and ran away to the park, besides the hospital.
They all felt sad for him, as they knew that he was having a very hard time all alone by himself. It was Ailee's and Jimmy's job to make Jason open his mouth.
They ran behind Jason and caught him sitting at the park in a very sad face.
" Jason, why do you act wierd? We're all here to help and protect you? Please tell the doctor about the condition of your body and the problems you're facing since the incident. Don't hesitate! They'll help you by all means", Ailee asked Jason, gently putting her hands around his shoulders.
" Please, Jason! Please tell everything if you do love us", pleaded Jimmy.
After thinking for long, Jason accepted to take further medications and doctor's advice. So, he got straight to the Senior doctor to tell about his condition.
" Excuse me, Doctor! May I come in?", asked Jason pressing the voice recogniser button at the room entrance.
" Yes. Please do come in!", replied the doctor.
First Jason made himself comfortable and then he began a conversation with the doctor. He told all the problems he'd kept secret, for the past two days.
"I felt something wierd about myself, as soon as I woke up the first day after that incident. Then within few minutes, i felt pain in my right eye and the vision blurred slowly but it turned normal afterwards. Thats when the Nightmare started", said Jason.
" Did you get any other problems", the doctor asked curiosly.
" Yes, Doctor! Random memories of something wierd keeps flashing up now and then. I can't stop these and my body freezes whenever memories pop up. More than these I'm starting to see things that no one could see", saying Jason came closer to the doctor to say something. " Even now, there's a freaking creature sitting near your cabin. Can you see that?", asked Jason.
The words shocked the doctor and he shuddered in fear. Unable to show his fear outside, he turned back inorder to check the freak Jason told about.
The view gave a heart attack to the doctor, as he saw no one behind. He felt that it was something not treatable and he immediately sent a word of notice to the Chief of Medical Expert group.
Before he got out of the room, Jason asked the doctor to keep few things secret to his parents, as it might break their hearts.
The news spread like wild fire and people in the Island feared if it was contagious. Fortunately, the news about his pearl blue eye was the only thing, people knew about.
For Jason's privacy and convenience, the hospital and Government hid his full body conditions.
Jason's parents felt happy to take their son home safe after a life and death situation. Inviting close friends and family they arranged a get-to-gather that night, to cheer him up.
Talking with his friends, made Jason happy. He enjoyed the party and looked enthusiastic throught the special meet. Soon, everyone left as they had work the next day.
" Jason, please take rest. You don't have to attend school tomorrow. I'd already talked to your Head of institution", said Clara grazing Jason's head gently with care.
" It's ok, mom! This doesn't mean I amn't listening to you. But I'll feel good if I go to school", said Jason holding his mothers hands.
" Ok, dear! If it makes you happy, you can go", saying Clara hugged her son.
After playing VR game with his father and uncle Mark, Jason got to bed. The feeling of going back to school made him excited and he hopped on his bed happily. The excitement made his body chill and that made him sleepless.
As time passed by, without his knowlege, his eyes closed slowly and he entered a deep sleep.
While sleeping Jason felt someone scratching his leg. He kicked his leg heavily, flipped to the other side and continued his sleep. Again, someone tapped his arms continously." Let me sleep mom!", saying Jason pushed the hand away and continued to sleep thinking that as his mom.
This time, he felt something heavy as a person sitting on his chest. Bothered by all these troubles, he then opened his eyes to swear at the one disturbing.
As soon as he opened his eyes, his heart stopped on seeing a horrible, wierd and abnormal creature sitting on his chest.
Jason screamed and opened his eyes. But then he realised it was all a dream and he was still sleeping.
Wiping up all his sweat, he got up from the bed and reached the table to drink water. His body felt hot and his legs trembled out of fear. So, he went to the balcony and looked at the view to relax.
But Jason couldn't believe that was a dream. He felt pain in his body and leg. He felt it was too late and so he moved to his bed again.
As soon as he moved away from the balcony, a person ran through his side and jumped outside the balcony from his room. Jason ran towards the balcony to see that person. He got bewildered to see a young man jumping from his house window.
Jason looked closely to capture the person's identity. The person in turn jumped down in great speed and stood there without running away. That person's backward appearance looked similar to the old man who Jason saw at the baseball court.
Jason's heart pounded faster, but he still stood at the balcony gathering his courage watching that man. To his surprise, the man turned suddenly and stared at Jason eye to eye. His stare gave a horror feeling to Jason and so he rushed to his bed and wrapped himself with his bedsheet.
He looked at his feet to check if everything was a dream. But it bleeded as if something sharp had pierced his feet. Jason understood that it was not a dream.
His body trembled and he feared of someone and something showing up again. He controlled his sleep, as nightmare's might haunt him again.
Poor Jason cried all night and slept with the fear of Nightmares and wierd creatures popping up again...
