9 I’m terrible at titles

3rd POV

As every creature was stirring, there was one that was in pain and curling

It was the traveler Jordan, the place she was in was more than morbid

Her worst nightmares comes to life, and they have came to come to give her some strife

Enough of the rhyming, I'm terrible with the timing

"Now that's not fair, then again nothing's fair, come on you old bat, let's finished what I started shall we" Jordan said as she was still glowing with her neon and mint fire.

Jordan began to form a fire ball in her hands and when she tried to throw them the creature wasn't there in front of her anymore, it went behind her

"Huh, where did it-" she didn't get to finished as she was wiped away by a giant clawed hand.

  "Is this the one who is supposed to defeat me, pathetic, I expected more from the apprentice of the legendary multiverse savior, I can see why your mentor didn't think you could handle going on a mission at all" the creature said, knowing what to say to crush Jordan's self esteem and feeling towards her mentor.

Her mentor was like a mother to her, so when the creature said that she couldn't do anything without her was a blow that crushed her.

  "I will defeat you, no matter what happens to me, you will not hurt all my friends I made, I might have lost her, but I won't lose anyone else" Jordan said as she remember it was her fault that her mentor isn't with her anymore.

   "So come at me you ugly bat, if your as tough as the real one, then this will be an easy fight, right" Jordan said now on high alert and has more spirit than ever.

  "If you truly think you can easily defeat me, than I shall end you like I ended your mentor" they said with a craze smile.

  In a blink of an eye they ran towards each other so fast that I shook the entire castle and could be felt all through the forest of the everfree.

  "You are definitely not as strong as hive, they were way stronger, I'm guessing you're only as strong as my fear of you" Jordan guessed was right on the money, but she doesn't know that, and given her last encounter with hive, she doesn't know what else they can do beside what hive did to them and to her mentor.

  "Not at all, they are just holding back because of how weak you are, they can do a lot more, even if it's just from your memory" nightmare moon lied so she could have the upper hand but she slipped by answering immediately.

  "Then how come I don't believe you" Jordan said as she began to form fire ball in her hands over her head.

  "Because if that nightmare of hive is the same as my hive then they wouldn't hesitate to destroy me nor hold back on any opponent" Jordan said just as she threw the gigantic fire ball that she formed

  Hive dodge to the left and then ran towards Jordan as she recovered from the throw.

  "And they wouldn't also dodge a obvious tracking fire ball" Jordan said as she put up a shield for the blast from the fire ball that changed direction as soon as hive moved towards her.

  When the fake hive notice it, it was to late and was hit by it and then disappeared into thousands of ashes.

  "Now can we continue our game, parasite" Jordan said as she walked through the ashes of the nightmare.

  "Fine, only because you made this more interesting" nightmare moon said as she stood up from her throne with her aurora that was black as the space between the stars showed, tentacles were sprouting from behind her.

  "Now I got a fire in my belly" Jordan said as she punched her fist into her palm and her fire around her burned brighter and hotter than before.

Twilight's castle(discord voice narrating)

The creatures were stirring in the castle of friendship, they're planning against the castle of friendship.

  "Ok, is everyone here" twilight said as she looked around her in the cutie mark map room

  "I think so twi, well except for AJ, we know where she went" rainbow dash said while scratching the back of her head.

  "Ok, starlight I want you at the school so the students are protected" twilight said while pointing at starlight glimmer, a pale, light grayish heliotrope unicorn with a mane moderate purple with lighter purple streaks, and eyes moderate Persian blue.

She was wearing ripped gray jeans, and a purple/pink beanie with white stars, purple/pink undershirt, a light blue teal over shirt, a dark blue navy vest.

"Got it twilight, I'll ask sunburst to help with protecting the students" starlight said.

"Spike I need you to fill ember in when she gets here, celestia and Luna are gather their forces to invade nightmares castle" twilight said as she pointed at the map where celestia and Luna are gathering their forces.

"While the elements go towards the castle and save AJ and Jordan, we will make a path for them to go directly to Nightmare moon" said spike as he put down three figures that resembled a dragon

"Fluttershy, how's getting discord to join the fight?" twilight asked.

"He says that he can't since he has a 4th wall job to do, I don't know what he means by that" fluttershy said in adorable confusion (remember discord is narrating).

"Really, I guess they didn't want me" pinkie pie said.

"You know what he's talking about?" Twilight said with an arch eyebrow.

"Yup, but I'm not supposed to say anything given legalities" pinkie said scratching the back of her head.

'I'll figure that out later, now I must focus' twilight thought to herself.

Back at the nightmares castle

Jordan was fighting with all her might, but it wasn't good enough, she has power, but no experience, nightmare moon had both.

'I don't know how long I can dodge her attacks' Jordan thought to her self.

"How about I stop playing with my food and just eat your fear" nightmare said after having her attacks dodge so many times.

"How about we take this outside, not much room for your power no is it" Jordan said with something else in mind.

'Not to mention I can see how far along they are in getting everyone together' Jordan thought to herself.

Of course that would work if Nightmare moon didn't have a truck up her sleeve.

"Oh why not, I could use some fresh air" Nightmare moon said with a sinister look in her eyes.

They stared at each other for what seems like hours, then suddenly they shot up into the broken ceiling and outside to the night sky.

Nightmare moon stopped before the full moon almost as if soaking in the moon light for power

"Mmmhmm, that feels heavenly, now, feel my true power, weakling!!!!!" Nightmare moon said aggressively.

As she flew up to the full height of the moon something was forming behind her, her features were changing, into more horrific features.

Her muzzle began to have sharper teeth and her mouth became wider, her hands became more like claws, her nails sharper than any sword or claw, her mane was unfurled and untamed, almost wild, her tail hairs became more lizard like with spikes at the end and the rest of her body became more like a dragons than a ponies.

"The more creatures I absorb into my army the more features I have, and that includes their powers" nightmare moon said as she looked over her body while her hands feel her body from bottom to top.

"Well this seems like a perfect moment to finish this fight isn't it" Jordan said as she looked around her hoping that her friends are almost here.

"Looking for your friends, they won't make it in time, but they will see your corpse working for me!!!!" Nightmare moon yelled as she came up behind Jordan.

Applejack POV

Ah don't know why Ah rushed out here with no plan and no backup

"Looking for your friends, they won't make it in time, but they will see your corpse working for me!!!!" Ah heard a faint yell in the distance.

Ah ran as fast as Ah can, I jumped over logs and ducked under branches.

"Hang in Jordan Ah'm coming, just hang on just a little longer" Ah said as ah ran towards Jordan.

"Urhk, *cough* *cough*, well looks like this it, better do this quickly" a voice said as I heard something tearing through flesh and bone

"No, no no no no no" Ah repeated as ah stopped for a second then ran faster then before.

"My, my still alive I see, you are resilient aren't you, how bout I swallow your fear will it's rip" Nightmare moon said as ah was sneaking around looking for a good spot to jump her.

"*cough* heh heh, that's a lot of blood coming out of my mouth, but I'm not moving from this spot, I'm going to stay here and wait, wait for my friends you got that" Jordan said, ah immediately knew she was talking about me.

"You naive fool, they aren't coming, they aren't coming to save you, and the sooner you get that through your thick skull the better you will taste" nightmare moon said as she licked her lips as if Jordan was her prey, but at this point it's pretty much accurate.

"*groaning out in pain* five more minutes teacher, it's the weekend, I don't have school or training today" Jordan said as she becoming more delirious from massive blood loss.

There has to be something ah can do, but what, nightmare moon has more power and is scarier looking since Ah last saw her.

  "Sorry Jordan but I won't let you die" Ah whispered so I can get a leg up on nightmare moon.

  "Not this time, imprisonment of fire" Jordan said breathing hard.

   The next thing Ah new she missed Nightmare moon and it hit me trapping me in a ball of fire, it doesn't burn but it's as hard as metal, I keep kickin and punchin it to get out, but nothin worked.

   "Hahaha, you missed, even if you had hit me that will disappear as soon as you die, either way you still die" Nightmare moon said with amused look on her face.

   We were in the everfree forest, close to the two sisters castle, and twilight's castle is far away along with ponyville, I don't know which direction zecora's hut is.

  "My friends will defeat you, even if I'm not here, I will wait for my friends and I won't harm them" Jordan last said as she gave her final breath, and when she did, something happen, her flames gone all over body and she morphed into a earth pony, the same one we met her in.

  "So this is your true form huh, pitiful, well since you're not using your body anymore I think I'll take it for my army. You did wipe out a good number of them" Nightmare moon said as she picked up Jordan with her magic and flew them both back to her castle.

  And just as they were flying away, Jordan's fire ball dissipated into embers.

  "No, no no no no no, she, she can't be.... no, why, why did she save me!!!!" Ah yelled at no one and to nothing.

  It was just like how my parents died, by saving someone, by saving me, applebloom would still have her parents if it wasn't for my carelessness

  "A heavy heart isn't a good look, how bout we wipe off that soot" a voice all to familiar said behind me.

   "Zecora, how long have you been there" ah asked feeling tears on my face.

  "Long enough to see what transpired, but not long enough to why everything is dire" zecora said kneeling down to help me up.

  "Jordan is dead, and nightmare moon took her corpse to use as a soldier in her army of nightmares to fight against us" Ah said as best as Ah could with little control on my tears.

  "We need to go back to twilights, onward before the sunlights" zecora said as she rushed us out of the woods.

  Ah swear I'm going to avenge Jordan, and I'm going to do with my own two hands.

Crystal empire: throne room Cadence POV

  Auntie Luna and celestia has send word that nightmare moon is back and that she has an army of nightmares, it was troubling was putting it lightly.

  It was more like it was the end of everything, as soon as we got the letter from Luna and celestia we armed our forces and prepared to go to the Everfree forest and attack an army that will show us our worst fears.

  "We need to leave some guards at the castle so that they will watch over flurry just in case things go south" I said to shining armor.

  "Done, we just need some unicorns to enchant the crystal armies armor so they will be protect against spells that are similar to sombra's" shining armor said.

   "Bphht blabbing, riaghhh" babbling coming from flurry as she was carried in by her father

  "We need to get her somewhere safe" I said to shining armor as I saw my daughter.

"And where pray tell is that dear niece" a voice said as it went through one of the many windows in the throne room.

"Who said that, show yourself!!!" one of the guards yelled.

"Don't you recognize your future queens voice, I'll soon correct that" the voice said as it slice the guard pony's head clean off.

We stand there in silence, covering flurry's eyes and ears from the blood sputtering from the headless body.

"Hmmmm, that may have been a bit much, don't you think" we turned to where the voice was coming from the forming shadow.

"What are you doing here, shouldn't you be planning our demise" I said to the figure, knowing full well who it was. I didn't back down from the shadow, I was scared on the inside but I didn't show it just for her dissatisfaction.

  "What the use of hiding your fear, I can smell it" Nightmare moon said as she revealed herself as the smoke began to dissipate behind her.

  "Why are you here Nightmare moon, I know it isn't for a visit" I said cutting the banter and getting straight to the point.

  "Eager as always, that's one of the many memories I retained from Luna. As pleasant as they were, I just want to make sure that this kingdom doesn't get in my way. So I'll just leave my newest recruit, Jordan the nightmare shifter" as soon as she finished saying their name a creature came up behind her and landed right in front of us.

  We didn't have enough time to react to the creature as it pushed us down to the floor, me and shining armor try to pull the starry hands off of us but it was useless as they were stronger than us.

  "Hmmm, I expected more of a fight from you, I guess I overestimated you, still doesn't change that you and this kingdom will need to be out of the equation" nightmare said as she waved her arms back and forth slowly .

  As she did this movement her shadows became bigger and bigger with each passing second.

  "What... what are you... you doing" I barley chocked out as the nightmare was still pushing us down not letting go or easing their grip.

  "I'm simply getting more recruits from your kingdom, I can't risk an uprising, nor can I leave you to your own devices. So why not have your precious subjects as my soldiers, isn't that just a fun way to take over I took the idea from Sombra" nightmare moon said as her shadows began to exit the throne room and the guards were cowering in fear from the nightmares that are above us and are now covering the empire.

   "Now is the time for shadows, no more time in the sun" she said as she began to call down an army of shadows from the moon.

Nightmare moon POV

"Come my army of shadows, come and rain down my wrath to those who didn't appreciate my night and to those who'll stop me in my conquest" I said with a sultry smile with the same tone.

As I was summoning my army, I heard a noise from behind me.

A arrow came flying swiftly through the air, but my shadows caught an inch from me for dramatic effect and to show my attacker that I can easily catch anything they can kill me with.

"Have you grasp the concept of the futility of attacking me yet, or do I need to beat it into you like I did with my newest solider" I turned around to see a crystal solider.

"Hmmm, you don't seem afraid of me, I'll need to rectify that" I said as I close my shadows around him and then swallow him whole.

"I love to play with my food, it makes them more chewy to eat" I said as he was being crushed.

I heard his bones crack and the sounds of his guts gushing out, I dismissed the shadows and all that was left was his armor.

"I hope you had a good snack because I need you to spy on the elements for me, I need a dark general and I have the perfect candidate. Go and make sure you are not notice by them" I said as I casted off one of many shadows.

As they went off towards Equestria I looked for my next general for my army, and I knew who that creature would be.

Applejack POV

Ah was ready to give up right here and then, Jordan was dead, the crystal empire was taken over, everyone's made at me for going on ahead.

    It's been two weeks since Jordan's been dead, but I feel like it was just hours ago

"I mean, you could've gotten yourself killed or worse, you should've thought this through AJ. If anything happens to you we wouldn't be able to use the elements!!!!" Twilight scolded me while Ah sat there playing what Jordan said and did, Twi's been scolding me since Ah got back.

    Ah was back at the castle, me and twi were in her room while the others were still in the map room talking about how to take down nightmare moon.

    "Hey twi, let up, it's obvious that AJ is already feeling worse since Jordan got turned into a nightmare after she died right in front her." Rainbow dash said grabbing twilights left shoulder "Not to mention before Jordan died she protected AJ with her magic" fluttershy said as she grabbed twilights other shoulder.

    "Yes twilight, imagine what that was like for AJ" rarity said as she began to whisper to twilight "And it's obvious why she went in there alone, but I don't think she knows yet" rarity whispered to her, Ah could hear what they were saying, but Ah decide against saying anything.

    "Fine, but we need to get to Canterlot so we can regroup with the princesses and find out what nightmare moon is planning, then confront her" twilight said as she turned around to face me

"AJ, I'm sorry what happen to Jordan, I am, but we must think of Equestria and the rest of the world, and I think that she's not dead, at least not completely" twi said sitting down by me with her hand on my right shoulder.

"How sure are you that she isn't, I saw it myself and even that parasite said she is" Ah said still looking down and my voice shallow of any positive emotion.

"Because she is stronger than that, even though we just meet, I can tell she is stronger than she let's on" twilight said giving me a side hug.

"Besides, the only thing I seen from you two were those sneaky glances when you think no one is looking. And I don't mean those 'I don't know anything about them so I'll keep an eye in them' glance" Rainbow said giving me a sultry smirk and knowing full well that I knew what she meant.

    "Rainbow dash!!!" Rarity said with surprise in her voice "You simply can't tell her that she has a crush on Jordan!!!!" rarity said full on yelling at Rainbow Dash.

     They began to argue, but as they did Ah sort of just tuned them out and focused what they said. I have a crush on Jordan, and I didn't realize it until she was gone and someone said something.

   "That's enough!!!" A voice shouted, we all looked who shouted and it was chrysalis who was in twilights guest bedroom.

   "Honestly your yelling and your love struckness is tiring and nauseating at the same time." Chrysalis said as she rubbed her temples with her finger and thumb "Now can some creature tell me what the Tartarus is going on!!!" She yelled as her eyes glowed a little bit.

   "We will, but we need to wait for the others to contact us, we just found out that the crystal empire was taken over. We found out by starlight glimmers friend, sunburst" twilight said as she look down in somber.

"They'll be alright, they had survived much worse than nightmare moon, we just need to get there fast" pinkie pie said in her usual hyper self.

3rd POV

Unbeknownst to our group of hero's, there was a shadow that wasn't theirs, a shadow that moved on the ceiling.

'Keep an eye on them and contact me via telepathy, and make sure you are not seen or heard, or else I will leave you for dead" nightmare moon said

As the shadow looked upon the group, only one of them was of interest, and that creature was Applejack.

"Applejack" the shadow said with a silent croaky
