1 Chapter 1: The Cursed Forest

It was a normal Halloween. My siblings and I were walking through the neighborhood when we came across an unfamiliar hiking path in the "Forest of No Return." My parents have always told us to never wander in the Forest. We walked for half a mile before we all stopped to take a break. We sat down for fifteen minutes when all of a sudden, we hear one of the bushes start rattling wildly. By the time we all got up, I felt my whole body slam against the bumpy trail and then felt searing pain spread through my whole body. I woke up three days later and found myself laying in a hospital bed. I tried to sit up but was unable to do so. Next thing I know, I hear my sister telling me to relax and that everything was going to be okay​.

Two weeks later, I'm standing outside in front of my house trying to cool down and get fresh air when all of a sudden, I start feeling immense searing and stabbing pains. I saw that the moon was full and when I tried to scream, it came out as an ear-splitting howl. I woke up and found myself lying at one of the entrances of the Forest. When I got back to the house, I found my parents dead bodies lying on the living room floor, completely ripped to shreds. After an hour of grieving and mourning, I grabbed my western revolver, loaded it with a mercury-infused silver bullet and committed suicide.
