Bargg Island

Before the day turned into night, the bright afternoon sun shone on a faraway island. This secluded land was far from the coldness of the south and the emptiness of the north. It was close to a lush forest that hadn't been explored yet, where new beginnings were waiting in the west and east.

The island had three separate mountains, not connected to each other. They were surrounded by a river that flowed peacefully, connecting them and leading to the vast sea.

On these mountains, there were tall and new buildings. Outside them lived a strong and muscular group of people who easily handle big weapons. They could jump high in the air as if the things they carried were light.

Catapults were being carefully prepared one by one, as if they were getting ready for a war that might happen soon. Next to this, a group of children stood in a line, looking at a very tall person.

This man had messy hair that was fiery red, a fierce look in his eyes, and a hook in place of his left arm. He had a big scar on his forehead, and his armor was old and uneven.

"Alright, kids, you can take a break now. I'm going to have some drinks, ya hear??"

The tall man with a beard spoke while holding a stem in his mouth. He turned away from the children and then spun around, pointing his finger.

"Remember, when you awaken your dragon gene, always be prepared to fight whenever it gets dark! Those darn creatures attack anytime they like, kids as a dragon warrior, all of you have that duty to fight them."

He looked at the kids behind him and then said.

"Okay, all of ya can take a break now."

He turned away again, showing his big back.

The children, who had been listening carefully, slowly went their separate ways as if it was a normal thing.

Meanwhile, there was a twelve-year-old child among them.

He was a bit chubby and had messy black and brown hair that went down to his shoulders.

His skin had a tanned look, and his eyes were a deep, pure brown. He looked at his hands, feeling sad and helpless inside, but he hid those feelings and acted calm.

With determination, he joined the others in doing their tasks, which is to relax.

However, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.

He looked in the direction where the strange feeling came from and saw a kid with a mustache— yes a mustache kid looking at him.

Surprisingly, the mustached kid quickly looked away and ignored him, which left him confused.

The slightly chubby child with tanned skin could only scratch his head and wonder.

"What's his deal?"

Meanwhile, the mustached kid, Murky, walked with determination in a particular direction.

He stroked his mustache with careful motions, using his finger to shape it to the side.

"I'm really inside the movie, and that fatass was the main character," he mumbled. Earlier, he had had too many questions: why, how, and what this world was all about.

In order to confirm the reality of this dream world, or for Murky to be certain that he was truly inside the movie he recognized, he had decided to see the main character for himself.

Now that he had seen him, he was convinced. He was truly in the movie.

He looked at the empty space next to him and saw three screens showing [ Ranking ], [ Missions ], and [ Profile ].

"I can't believe I'm actually in this movie! Meeting the main character earlier proved it. Was it a mistake to choose multiplayer mode?"

Murky thought while rubbing his mustache.

He was attracted to the system's offer, which allowed him to enter the world of the movie and pick his location. He remembered choosing multiplayer mode.

At first, it was single player mode, but Murky's gonna die anyway, why not choose a grander place?

"I won't progress if I don't take risks! Since I know the world, why not go for it? right?"

Nah, Murky was just looking for a place to die, if he's gonna here in the multiplayer mode, he hoped that he'd be a stronger catalyst being. But also the system also promised him an advantage because he didn't have an mutated gene.

There's a chance he could dominate this game too, with his knowledge of the film.

Murky felt a mix of emotions as he walked.

He chose Bargg Island, the central place in the movie's story, so he could use his knowledge to his advantage.

To his luck, when he arrived, he transformed into a young Draugrkin, a mix of a Barbarian and a Viking like the main character.

After completing his training, which he didn't have memories of, Murky was now ready to go to the secret location with a smile on his face, humming.

Suddenly, he shook his head, waking up from his daydream.

"No!

"I can't be too careless. I don't know who else will be here. The system said there might be creatures that aren't human as a player too.

"This place is also really big, and there could be many other players in multiplayer mode, maybe even in different areas. I have to be careful and not mix up the movie with this strange reality."

With a renewed determination, Murky noticed the big gate and decided to go towards it, which would lead him out of the small village nestled in the mountains.

In Bargg Island, the villages were connected along the ocean and on tall cliffs to avoid flooding.

Behind these connected villages was a large forest full of fruits, vegetables, and other things they could use. Also his target.

But suddenly, Murky stopped walking.

In just a few moments, a loud boom filled the air.

Kabam!

The ground shook violently in front of Murky, covering everything in dust.

When the dust settled, a man appeared in front of Murky, and he seemed really intimidating.

"Where do you think you're going?"

The man asked. He was big and had curly brown hair on his chest. He wore armor that looked like steel and had dreadlocks. His long hair covered his missing eyes and a scar on his face.

Ding!

[ Name: Unknown.

[ Level: Unknown.

[ Dragon class: Unknown.

[ Status: Draugrskins Draugr warrior. ]

Murky was amazed at how huge the adult Draugrkin was standing in front of him.

He knew that adult Draugrkin were incredibly strong. They had arms like pipes that could strangle a dragon, fingers like stones that could gouge out a beast's eyes, and feet big enough to step on a dragon's head.

Draugrkin were also known for being tough and could survive in a lot of environments. Their bodies could also withstand poison, fire, and all sorts of attacks from dragons or environments.

Trying to calm himself down, Murky swallowed hard and spoke in a quiet voice.

"I want to fetch some spring water to drink."

He didn't know this person in the show, maybe he's just a side character, one of the Draugrkins villager, a Draugr warrior.

"Why?" the trembling man questioned, struggling to find a sufficient explanation. Then an idea struck him.

"To quench the thirst of the poultry dragons."

In this realm of 'How to train your dragons,' there were two types: predator dragons and poultry dragons. Poultry dragons served as nourishment for Draugr warriors and predator dragons, making them incredibly precious.

If the poultry dragons were to vanish, the predator dragons might spare this island from their attacks. However, the Draugr warriors would also perish, one by one, without a source of sustenance. Plus, Poultry Dragons wee extra sensitive too, they needed the spring water to survive.

Hearing this, the massive Draugrkin scrutinized him from head to toe, then opened his mouth to speak.

"You don't possess the dragon gene? It hasn't awakened within you yet?"

Murky nodded in acknowledgment.

Suddenly, without warning, the colossal figure grabbed Murky by the foot and effortlessly lifted him, turning him upside down.

Murky barely had time to process what was happening before finding himself in this awkward position, akin to a chicken awaiting its demise at the hands of the massive Draugrkin.

"Hmm... alright."

The massive Draugrkin uttered.

Just as abruptly, the Draugrkin set Murky back down and leaped high onto a post.

Murky, bewildered and feeling violated, was left dumbfounded.

Soon after, the Draugrkin landed before him once again, this time clutching four buckets.

"Alright, fetch me some water too. Bring back plenty."

The massive Draugrkin commanded, leaving Murky stunned.

Observing Murky's expression, the giant figure burst into laughter, a booming sound that echoed through the air.

"GRAHAHA!"

He bellowed, patting Murky's small shoulder with the buckets.

"Come on, this will awaken your dragon gene. So return here before darkness falls because anytime, a tide of dragons might attack us. Grahahah!"

A group of young raiders, upon reaching adolescence, were sent outside to fight the dragons. They were no longer in a cave or under the protection of the Adult Raiders who were dragon warriors.

For them, it was a life-and-death situation that would surely awaken the dragon gene within the bodies of the younglings. If not, they would simply let these younglings die. The adult dragon warriors didn't care.

However, if these younglings survived but still hadn't awakened the dragon gene, they would still become slaves and serve the dragon warriors, the younglings would serve the dragon warriors forever but not until they awakened it, just like the adult raider in front of him.

"Huh?"

Murky stood there in silence, unable to find words.

'What kind of bullshit is this?'

Carrying even one of those buckets would be a monumental challenge, let alone four of them. Each bucket was almost as big as Murky himself, and he doubted whether he could even lift one when it was full.

Perhaps he could manage it, but the task would undoubtedly be exhausting.

However, the massive Draugrkin nudged him, urging him onward.

"Alright, just carry them one by one. I believe in you, promising young Draugrkin. GRAHAHA!"

The massive Draugrkin's voice sounded like a commanding demon, leaving Murky feeling compelled to obey.

Murky understood that he had no choice but to comply.

If he didn't embrace the role of a Draugrkin, he would be reduced to a lowly slave, stripped of any freedom or status within the village of these fierce beings.

As an Draugrkin slave, he would be denied even the basic human experiences, including interactions with women.

Murky would be condemned to a life of forced labor, serving others against his will for the remainder of his days.

In this movie world, where his lack of mutated gene rendered him worthless, Murky realized that he had no alternative.

He experienced it firsthand in the real world, is he going to accept the same fate this time?

Not only that, but an adolescent individual like him, who was now outside the safe cave like the main character, was in danger.

Just one dragon wave or a bunch of dragons attacking this raider's island would be a life-and-death situation for the other young raiders who had awakened their dragon gene.

What more about those who hadn't? Just how dangerous it would be for those who didn't awaken their dragon gene?

If he didn't have dragon gene, Murky knew the terror of being a normal human against dinosaurs. But what would happen if these dinosaurs could breathe fire and blast it from their mouths, and had wings to fly and grab them up or attack them from the air?

Of course, it was because of that, he would do anything to become a Dragon Warrior on this dangerous island. It would be too much trouble if Murky didn't become one.

Summoning a sense of indignation, Murky declared.

"I'll do it."

Although his voice carried a hint of resentment, the massive Draugrkin acknowledged his statement with a smile. His teeth were even so white.

"Graahaha! Don't be so glum."

The adult Draugrkin replied, his expression displaying not even a tinge of reluctance, but he was having fun, with a hearty laugh, enjoying Murky's predicament.

"There won't be any danger there, we already cleared them. Just head straight to the cave and fetch some of that water for me. I need more of that drink."

With a heavy heart, Murky prepared himself for the arduous task ahead.

He knew that he had to endure this trial to survive and carve out a place for himself in this unforgiving movie world.

As Murky glanced back at the gate, struggling to carry the four empty buckets, he noticed the massive Draugrkin waving at him.

"Good luck, young and promising Draugrkin! You can do it! GRAHAHA!"

The words of encouragement from the massive fellow only served to further infuriate Murky. He felt a surge of anger welling up inside him, and for a moment, he contemplated tossing the buckets aside in frustration.

But within Murky's eyes, a flicker of determination ignited.

The light of resolve shone brightly as he gazed at the task before him.

"I will accomplish this," he muttered to himself, his voice filled with newfound determination.

With his anger transformed into a steely resolve, Murky tightened his grip on the buckets and pressed forward.
