1 Chapter 1

Emily POV 📚-

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

"Ahh Why!!" I moaned to myself as my alarm started to get on my nerves. After laying in my bed for a few more minutes, I slowly started getting out of my very comfortable bed. FYI just because I got out of bed doesn't mean I am officially awake, aware, or getting ready for school. Now that I think about it I never did the cliche introducing myself, (and just a warning this introduction is going to be absolutely horrible, so feel free to picture me however you want.) So here comes the super cliche introduction of me, My name is Emily Carson and I have two siblings one older brother named Brandon and one younger sister Roselle. I have long wavy black hair and dark blue eyes that can be mistaken as black eyes. My mom and Dad both have black hair as well as both of my siblings. I am also the average height of a girl my age and I have a more than skin tone the normal person would and I am 16 years old, and that is the end of the super cliche introduction to myself and little of my family so I can continue with my tale. So I decided to go downstairs and eat breakfast in my PJs instead of getting ready then eating breakfast when I got downstairs and got to the kitchen my mom was there starting to make pancakes for everyone when the same down for breakfast.

"Hi sweetie, are you ready to go to school today!" She greeted in a chipper tone. She always was a morning person who woke up happy at 6 am!

I shrugged my shoulders "I don't know I prefer not to go if I had the choice not to but I don't have a good reason not to." I answered her as I sat down on a barstool at the island. I watched her as she started the sausage in the pan next to the griddle.

"Well, at least you can eat these amazing pancakes for breakfast to start your day with." She said in her always chipper voice. Sometimes that voice will drive me crazy because she is almost always happy and when she isn't all smiles and rainbows she can get kind of scary.

"You are right your pancakes are the best pancakes I have ever had and probably will forever." I agreed. You have no idea how good her pancakes are absolutely amazing. They are buttery, fluffy, thick, and buttery. Wait I already said buttery but it still applies because they are that good.

"Thank you, honey, that means a lot to me!" She said with a smile, "Now go head up to your room and get dress okay." I stood up from the stool and very unwilling and slowly walk up to my room. But when I got to my room I took my time getting dressed so that when I eventually finished getting dressed it was time to leave for school. My brother Brandon takes me to school because he has a car and it's better than taking the bus or mom taking me. The one problem with Brandon taking me is that he goes to school 20 minutes before school starts just because he's on the soccer team. The soccer team has a mandatory 1mile run around the school's track and then they have a team meeting of if they all finish before school starts. I started down the stairs again and heading straight to the front door to not risk being left behind because that is exactly what my brother would do. When I reached the door my brother started descending the stairs and walking to the door.

"Good morning Em. How are you this beautiful Monday morning ?" He greeted with a smile on his face.

"What's gotten you so happy for big bro? And to answer your question my morning is horrible because one it's Monday and two I have to go to the hell people call high school." I answered in a flat tone.

"Well, you see dear sister that my amazing girlfriend is finally coming home from her vacation. That is why I, Brandon Reyes Carson is so happy on a Monday morning." He said dramatically. So the two things about my family are that one all my family members except me are morning people and two is that they can get overly dramatic when answering a question for no reason, but I can say that it can get pretty funny and it breaks the tension in a room if one of them starts to be dramatic after a very tense situation. I really appreciate it when they do that especially we one of us is upset it will almost always put a smile on our face.

"Okay I get it you girlfriend is coming home but that is still no reason to be so happy on a Monday morning. So can we just hurry up and get school over with. FYI, it's my day to pick the music. " I said as I walked out to his car and tried to open the front door and failed miserably in because my dear brother thought it was the best idea to not unlock the doors to his car. "Can you unlock the doors please?" I asked with a totally fake smile on my face.

" No, not until I tell you what I heard last from Mom and Dad. I am not going to let you answer before I feel you. They were talking about getting you a dog for you when you are home so you can have a friend and to help you at home with your other stuff. " He said with a slight smile on his face. When I finally processed what he said he was already in the car and I slowly did the same. To say I was in shock should be an understatement. I knew that I shouldn't fully believe what my brother said. So when I finally processed what I heard I decided to ask mom and Dad when I got home.
