7 Caught in his Eyes

It was a rainy night, and just any more rain, it will already produce a thunderstorm. It was very cold obviously, and a certain building in Narbonne, stands tall among the other building that surrounds it.

A man in the upper floor, standing behind the glass in front of him. Seeing as the thunder erupts within the sky. It was satisfying to see things like that, ever since he came into the outside world.....

Another day another things to happen. Like his expectations, he got accepted to the job. Last night, the directress was just there in time, making him have the time to say about his newfound job. He said the truth, only about his payment. It differs from time to time. Supposedly, you get only 15 percent of your payment because the 85 percent is given to the orphanage. Which sometimes your just left with a penny. Cause what you can really even earn when your doing those minor stuff?

But he can just easily lie what he gets everyday. Though seems unfair for others who give their earnings to the orphanage which benefits all, he will pay them back in the future. He's not that bad, unlike the wrong friends he made in his past life.

He got his things ready and got on his feet going to the river. And seems that the fishermen here are most often early. They're already at their set fishing. Because they're pretty old, rarely they dive.

Nonetheless, Elliot got his set up ready and sat on the rock, fishing.

Why not diving when it's more efficient you ask? Yes, you can gain strength, stamina, and many other physical factors.

But he thought better. He will meditate while fishing. It's because last night, he managed to know that even if your in core enhancer state, you can freely move, but the effect will be more less of course. But who cares? It will do more effects even if he dives in. Plus, he gets more exhausted then if he dives.

That means, it's like a active enhancer skill now. Whenever he will fight in the future, he can use it temporarily to enhance his senses, skills and all of that.

So, to not confuse him. He divide the technique core enhancer into two.

The one where he can use it for fights, enhancing "temporarily". And one where he trains the core. It's just giving unlimited benefits. At home, he trains the core for a long time, upgrading its thickness, and how much energy you can store in his magic reservation.

Then, if he's in fights, by using it, he can heighten his senses and skills a lot more, training his core also, but only a little bit, but it's strengthening his body.

Long story short, the temporary, now he calls Enhancer Mode, is for strengthening his body and senses while fighting.

The long time one, Core Enhancing Mode, where it's mostly for the upgrading of his core. Because the core is for magic, for storing magic and making his magic power strong. Unlike Enhancer mode, more for physicality.

Perfect.

He goes into the position, closing his eyes, and focusing on his core, activating it. Energy starts going into his core. Though not visible to the eyes, it's like air getting sucked into his body.

Though not felt by human, the fish started going crazy in the water, as they were getting amazed by the fact that energy is forced to enter a human body.

It attracted them for some reason, and in mere minutes, the hook was already unavailable. Elliot noticed it obviously due to the clear water. And lifting the hook up, an average size fish was caught by him. He laugh happily.

'This technique is godly than any other one out there'

Who knew that simple meditation, would make you like this?

Seconds turn into minutes, and minutes turns into hours.

He didn't keep count but there's certainly loads of fish he caught for the day. His time ranges from 4 to 6 hours, and he can choose whether to leave immediately in the fourth hour. We'll, its his payment. More fish more money. He stayed for six hours, and maybe a little bit more minutes.

Pleased by his performance, he got up and lifted the bucket. It was heavily than he expected, and he barely manage to lift it up.

And that's all thanks to the Enhancer Mode he was in before. Each day he use the technique, it's obvious it was giving the effects right after you use it.

He arrived on the hut, and the man whom he still doesn't know the name saw him.

"I thought you weaken out and didn't attend. I didn't see you. Are you finish already?"

The man asked, but before that, Elliot can't be that disrespectful and keep calling him Mister after the several help he had.

"Ah, yes, I just ventured out farther to not compete with others. But well, what's your name Mister...?" I asked politely dropping off the bucket.

"Oh, come to think of it, I don't know your name too" He laughed out like an old man. There wasn't any informational things like datas needed, since all he needs is to work. And it's illegal anyway, there's no need to pass papers.

"Call me Randy, short for Randall Ave"

He offers his hand. I first rub my hands in my short before answering back.

"Elliot....

" Faust Elliot Demetrius"

I gave a hard grip, and he seems to do it too.

I just grinned childishly, giving up.

It isn't called core enhancer now, but instead, called into two now.

Core Enhancer and Enhancer Mode.

Core Enhancer is mostly for the core, as the name suggest. It's for a long time period training, and training, as in for the core mostly.

Magic core is the most important thing for a wizard. It's the one that keeps the energy they absorb and use that energy for converting it into spells.

As I said earlier in the chapters, the magic reservation depends on how you are born with it. But with the skill, you can amplify your core.

Amplifying meaning thickening it and making it bigger. Making it bigger means more magic reservation. A larger magic reservation meaning the more energy you can absorb. Like example is a container, the more you train it, the more bigger the container will get, meaning, more things you can put in it. In this case, bigger magic reservation=more energy to restore.

Now, thickening it means making your magic strong. Let's say, damage of Expeliarmus, is 10, but if your core is dense, meaning, it can deal the damage up to 20.

Going on with Enhancer Mode.

It's more for physicality, strengthening your senses, and body. Meaning, while core enhancer is internal, Enhancer mode is external.

When I said that the effects are less when in Enhancer Mode, I only mean that it's less effects for the core, while being in Core Enhancer Mode, less effect for the physicality.

That's basically it. I just did this in case some of you might get confuse.
