Chapter 1: Returning Home
Hello and welcome to my first experimental fanfic of Mushoku Tensei, in which a new inspiration popped into my head in an unexpected way, which was accidental in nature…
Ever since I've been hearing about the anime episodes of Mushoku Tensei, I was somewhat curious, but somewhat hesitant since at that time I was BURNED OUT by the Isekai trope (the last anime that had this element was Familiar Of Zero / Zero no Tsukaima), and sort of avoided it since at that time I was focused on anime with modern settings, like My Hero Academia for example.
However, after finishing the final season of Nanatsu no Taizai / Seven Deadly Sins, I started to ponder on whether to give Mushoku Tensei a chance. When browsing my Facebook I saw a post where a portion of the manga depicted Rudeus and Eris CONSUMATED their night and this made me curious and read the manga version online.
Though it only showed them kissing and sleeping on bed under the blanket, I decided to read the manga from the start before watching the anime.
That somewhat inspired me to make a fanfic, and decided to use chapter 49-51 of the manga as a start, and since the love scene between Eris and Rudeus was condensed, I decided to make a DETAILED version, hence the M-rated tag, and this would help me determine if this would attract readers and fans.

Ch. 1: Kikoku suru
Just a day or two after narrowly escaping death due to Nanahoshi insisting on saving Rudeus Greyrat's life which Orsted reluctantly abiding her wish, which he uses his healing magic to heal Rudeus' FATAL wound on his chest, and after that Orsted and Nanahoshi left, Rudeus, along with Eris Boreas and Ruijerd Superdia left as well and head back to Fittoa.
While on the road Rudeus is trying to practice some magic skills after being defeated by Orsted, and that Eris is getting to close to Rudeus, making the 13-year old boy flustered, and then he suddenly recalled getting his first kiss from Eris several hours ago, where he woke up after being healed by the reluctant Orsted.
He grinned and blushed while recalling the first kiss he got and is starting to think of ecchi images with him and Eris involved, and there Eris twitched her eyes seeing Rudeus' mind drifting, and asked him if he is okay now.
"Rudeus!"
"…"
"Hey, Rudeus!"
"…"
"I said HEY!"
"Huh? Oh, Eris...!"
"Are you really okay?"
"Yes, yes…I'm okay…"
After some countless hours and days, they are nearing the town, in which Ruijerd got off the wagon and told him this is where he will depart, and though Rudeus tried to persuade him to reconsider and spend the night, Ruijerd politely declined but promised meet him again one day.
"Thank you, but I'll be fine."
"Are you sure…? You can at least stay for one night…"
"Thanks for the offer…but there is something I must personally do."
"…"
"But we will meet again."
"I see…thanks for everything."
"It is an honor to meet someone like you. Farewell."
"See you."
After that Ruijerd departed and there Rudeus and Eris head off and made their way to town, where both noted that it was quiet and somber, which both teens had a feeling that something bad must have happened, yet Rudeus assured to her that things will be okay.
Nodding Eris went with him and went to their destination venue where they are greeted by the following people, much to Eris' relief, seeing that they are okay and in good health, and the persons who greeted Rudeus and Eris are:
- Ghislaine
- Alfonse
Eris went and hugged Ghislaine, overjoyed to see that she is okay, and Ghislaine feels the same, relieved to see that Eris is also in good health and suffered no injuries of any kind, and the two females hugged tightly as they felt that they thought that they would never see each other again.
"Ghislaine!"
"Eris!"
"You're okay!"
"So are you!"
"You appeared to have grown quite a bit!"
"You think so?"
"You almost look like a real teenager now."
"Ha-ha-ha…"
Alfonse is also glad to see the two younger teens, noting that they are unharmed, but then he realized that the next minutes would put a bit of tension once the next subject is brought on, and there he told the two teens that there is something important that needs to be discussed and there he tells Rudeus to wait outside.
"Rudeus…"
"Yes…?"
"Could you step outside…?"
"Eh…?"
"There is something that Eris-sama, Ghislaine and I need to discuss…"
"Oh yeah…must be a family matter…"
"So could you please…"
"Okay, I'll wait outside…"
However, Eris told Alfonse that Rudeus is coming along, holding the younger boy's hand firmly, and Alfonse sensed that Eris somewhat sensed something and needed Rudeus as an emotional support, especially when she insists that Rudeus will stay by her side.
"Eris-sama…?"
"Rudeus is coming with us."
"But he's…"
"I…need him."
"…"
"Please."
"Are you sure…? He isn't…"
"Alfonse."
Ghislaine placed her hand on Alfonse's shoulder and whispered to him, telling him to let Rudeus come along, reasoning that the younger boy's presence might help Eris once the discussion commences, which Alfonse appeared hesitant but eventually relented, seeing that Eris would not let go of Rudeus' hand, and saw the look on Eris' eyes, and there Ghislaine tells Alfonse to respect Eris' wish.
"Are you sure about this, Ghislaine?"
"Yes."
"But he…"
"Rudeus was the one who has been with Eris ever since THAT INCIDENT…and I'm pretty sure he is the only one who can help her now."
"I…I'm not sure."
"Take my word. Rudeus will be a help to Eris. So respect Eris' wish."
"Oh, fine."
"Good."
A minute later the four of them assembled and commences the discussion, where Alfonse revealed that the Asura kingdom is in a state of disarray due to the recent calamity, whilst the Boreas family is slowly falling apart.
Alfonse also revealed that Philip and Hilda perished and Ghislaine was unable to save them, and there the Asura kingdom used Sauros as a political scapegoat and used the calamity as an excuse to justify in executing him.
Rudeus was shocked by this and demanded to know why Sauros had to be executed, which Alfonse told the younger boy the circumstances, and soon things went a bit intense as Alfonse revealed that there are plans where Eris is to wed a noble so that she would have a home now that the Boreas family is almost gone.
Ghislaine is against it and resulted in an argument which Alfonse said that this is for the sake of the nation, yet she is against it while Rudeus attempted to get the two adults to calm down. While he sees the logic from Alfonse, he is against it as he doesn't want Eris ending up becoming a concubine to a corrupt noble and use her as a political and sexual tool for his own orgy.
Thus, Ghislaine and Alfonse got into a heavy argument.
"I say I will not accept this!"
"Please understand, Ghislaine!"
"Understand what?"
"Its for the recovery of our nation!"
"At the cost of Eris' freedom and to appease that pig? I refuse!"
"There is no other way! The country is at economic stake…"
"Not our problem…and definitely not Eris' problem, so tell him to figure it out himself!"
"But…"
Seeing that her two retainers are becoming intense and Rudeus is having a bit of difficulty in calming the two down, Eris stood up and told everyone to stop arguing in such a loud voice which somewhat hurt their ears, surprised to see that Eris is taking the situation well and calmly enough.
"Calm down, all of you."
"Eris…"
"Eris…"
"Eris-sama…"
"Its…okay. Please don't argue."
"Eris…"
"Eris…"
"Eris-sama…"
After that, Eris told everyone that she needs to be alone for now, and proceeded to leave the tavern, and sensing her sadness, Rudeus offered to accompany her, but she strictly told him that she wanted to be alone.
"Eris…?"
"Sorry."
"Eh?"
"I need to be alone."
"Are you…?"
"Please."
"…"
"…"
After that, Rudeus listens as Alfonse reasoned that Eris becoming a concubine for the noble is justifiable in order for the country to weather the recent calamity, but Ghislaine is against it and argued that Eris will only suffer not only physically, but also emotionally.
This caused the two to argue and Rudeus tried to mediate the tension, where Ghislaine asked what Rudeus' take on this, which the 13-year old boy said that he would not allow Eris to become a concubine to the corrupt noble, and there Ghislaine suggested that he and Eris should elope and leave far away from here.
"Eh?"
"You heard me, Rudeus. Take Eris and elope."
"Er…that's kind of…sudden…"
"Its better than letting that pig make a SEX TOY out of her."
"…"
"And I would rather see her happy and recovered after losing her family than getting worse just because it is being suggested that selling herself to a political pig would save this damn country."
"Ghislaine…"
"So, if you care about Eris, take my advise."
As Alfonse tried to reason the two with his belief, Ghislaine once more showed opposition to the suggestion, and the two argued once more, and Rudeus thought carefully and realized that the conversation is going nowhere at the moment and told the two that unless new developments materialize, he is going to get some rest and tells them not to burden Eris for tonight.
"I'm taking a rest."
"…"
"…"
"And please don't force the issue on Eris. She already had a rough day after we managed to come back here."
"…"
"…"
"So good day to you."
"…"
"…"

Hours later, the scene shifts at the room where Rudeus is laying on bed, only in his briefs, as he is still trying to sort out what they just learned, and he knows that Eris is trying to weather the fact that she lost her family, which her parents were killed by the calamity while her grandfather was made into a pariah and forced to face execution.
He is also considering what Ghislaine suggested hours ago about eloping with Eris in order for her to be spared from becoming a concubine for the corrupt noble and everything else, and as he is still sorting it out, Eris came in, dressed only in a semi-transparent, red-colored nightgown, which showed her sexy side.
"Good evening, Rudeus."
"Eris…?"
"…"
"Uh…good evening…?"
"Can I...have a word with you…? Just the two of us…?"
"Me…?"
"Yes."
"…"

Hope you liked this chapter, as it recounts the events of the manga and recent anime episodes where Rudeus almost got killed by Orsted, he and Eris managed to get back to town…and now that Eris is an orphan…
The end of this chapter also mirrored the middle portion of chapter 51 (and possibly episode 11 or 12 of the ongoing anime), yet ended up in a cliffhanger, but this would be tackled in the next chapter.
