3 Alive Inside

It showed Jacobs talking to the group, "I trust him, I've been knowing Ian for 5 years exactly and he wouldn't do that, back in Iran, we were in a similar situation and this is the same plan he did in Iran, so just trust the process." Jacobs said. It then showed Ethan sitting by the wall alongside April. "Ever since you joined our group, I've never heard you speak, can you tell me what's bothering you?" She asked as Ethan looked up to the ceiling. "Please communicate with me." April pleaded. Ethan then sighed as it goes into a flashback. It showed Ethan with his older sister and his 6-year-old brother in a 4 door car before the outbreak. They were going on a trip but, They had to put the trip on hold because the young boy was sick so they took him to the hospital. 

Minutes later, they burst through the Hospital, it was jammed pack and everyone was sick. A lot of coughs were heard and patients filled the waiting room. "My brother has a fever and we need to see a doctor!" Ethan frantically said. "Sir you're all gonna have to fill out this sheet and wait just like everyone else." The woman at the front desk instructed him to do. After several hours of waiting, they were finally escorted to a room. "It's gonna be okay, baby brother," Ethan said while his sister was rubbing on his head. "I'm gonna go get us some snacks," Ethan said while looking into his wallet to find approximately $3.75 then headed out of the room. 

Ethan then pressed the button B25 to get a honeybun from the machine and as he was heading back. The hospital was too noisy with screams and the sound of agony. He then walked into the main lobby to see people, but not normal people, they were dead, and they were cannibalizing each other as 6 of the undead saw him, they then ran at him as the honeybun fell to the floor and he took off to his room to grab his family. The flesh-eaters were still running behind him until he barricaded the door by sticking a broom between the doors then blocking the door by pushing the vending machine with all the strength he had left. He then opened the door to see the most horrid image that left him traumatized. His baby brother was feasting on his older sister, he was biting the skin off of her neck while she screamed as blood spewed everywhere. Ethan was shocked at what he was witnessing, his brother.....his 6-year-old brother, was a flesh-eater. Ethan then backed away slowly and at the same time, it felt like the world stopped. His brother then started coming towards him when his sister turned into a flesh-eater and they both chased after Ethan. He then made his way to a dead security guard with his gun across on the floor. Ethan then grabbed the gun and shakily poised it at his younger brother and an older sister who just stood there growling at him. He had the choice to shoot them or run, he then dropped the gun and ran out of the fire escape door as the flashback ended.

"I'm so sorry that happened to you," April said. "I didn't want either of their blood on my hands," Ethan said as April rubbed his back with her right hand as tears began to fall from his eyes.

"So what happened, how did the plan go before?" Raven asked Jacobs who was sitting next to fish. "Well, we were held captive by the Iranian militia, myself, fish, Ghost, watchdog, Dax, mouse, and Ian. He was given the choice of leaking the U.S information on Project F.O.R.C.E and killing us. When he chose to join them, we thought he betrayed not only us, but his country, but that night myself, fish, and Ghost broke out of prison to find Ian killing the leader of the militia then we took off running. Ghost, on the other hand, didn't make it, a kid was standing in the crossfire, and Ghost ran towards him and they both blew up. The kid was a walking bomb." Jacobs said while everyone listened to his story. "So yeah, Ian knows what he's doing, so nothing to worry about." He added while stretching. The door then opened and a group of armed legion members walked in, lunch is served." One of them said while bringing in a tray of food for the group. "Eat up outsiders, because we're putting you to work after." He added while they all left out and locked the door behind them.

"He's in," Seth said as they all began to eat their meals.

Meanwhile, Ian was still being shown around. "Last but not least, this is the weapons room, ran by Snake, he keeps track of how many guns we have and he keeps count on the ammunition, just make sure you sign the list once you take your weapon," Tarver said as Ian looked on. "Now that you're one of us, I want you to keep watch of your group, making sure they don't get out of line, as a matter of fact here they come now." He said as they both looked towards Ian's group now standing in front of him. "I want them to run the fields by filling the buckets with the good food, also cleaning out the rotting food." He said, "now get to work." Tarver added as Ian guided them in the field. "So, is the plan intact?" Jacobs asked while Ian was still walking with them. "Change of plans about the weapons, they're keeping count of the guns and ammunition ran by Snake," Ian whispered. "Fuck, so what do we do?" Jacobs asked. "I'm gonna have fish fake sick and taken to the infirmary, he's gonna take out Snake an disguise himself as him and we get the weapons that way, when we do, I'm gonna take out Tarver, and we get the hell out of here," Ian explained. "Copy that, I'll notify everyone on the plan," Jacobs said while they both nodded at one another. "Now get to work!" Ian yelled as the group began doing what was instructed for them to do.

As the day went by, the group worked under the sun and when they finished hours later, they were escorted back to their prison room where Jacobs explained everything to the group.

2 nights later, fish was in the infirmary pretending to play sick. "Remember the plan fish, Snake is about to take this shift, you know what to do," Ian said as he slipped a knife under fish's pillow followed by walking out of the room. Snake then entered the room staring at fish.

It then shows Ian in the room with Tarver, "I think we should eliminate fish, he's sick and looked like he had a bite mark as well." Ian said. "Well...Let's go have a look at Fish." Tarver said while getting out of his chair. "I like you, more than any of the others, I trust you even more at the fact that you're willing to kill your people," Tarver said as they continued walking. 

It then plays a flashback of Jacobs and Fish talking. "Ian stated that you kill Snake, disguise as him then, once Ian kills Tarver, you run straight to us while he sound the alarm to draw attention got it?" He asked as the flashback ended. 

Tarver and Ian made it to the infirmary noticing blood on the pillow. "What happened?" Tarver asked. "He turned so I stabbed him in the head and disposed of the body." Snake said as he nodded at Ian. "Tarver!" Ian yelled as Tarver turned towards him to see Ian holding up his gun. he then shot Tarver in the chest twice. "the loudmouth bitch finally got what he deserved." Ian added as he shot Tarver in the head. He then ran out and sounded the alarm. "Go get the others! I'll meet all of you by the entrance gate, Go Now!!! " Ian yelled. Fish then took off as gunshots were heard in the background.

Minutes later, the door burst open, "Let's go now!" Fish yelled to the group while taking off the mask. He then threw them the duffle bag full of weapons, and Jacobs his gun back.

Everyone was out and shooting on sight anyone wearing a legion outfit. Jennifer was protecting Sarah while the group blasted their way to the main entrance gate. "Where's Ian?" Sarah asked while the group looked around. The bushes then began to shake as everyone aimed their gun in that direction. Ian then came out with duffle bags and a gun attached to his hip. "Relax guys it's me." He said when Sarah broke free of Jennifer and ran to hug Ian. "It's alright princess. He said. "You did it, Ian, you killed that son of a.." raven caught herself about to curse when she noticed Sarah. "Where's Bobby?" Jacobs asked. "Well I have him with us but I found some familiar faces as well," Ian said as Bobby came out with his hands up with guns drawn behind his head, and out came Dax and Mouse. "Well shit my balls, you guys are alive," Jacobs said as he and fish hugged their brothers in arm. "I didn't want to blow their cover as legion mercenaries, but they will be with us now, but we should get out of here before the rest of the legion shows up," Ian said as they were on their way as flesh-eaters started making their way to the pit from the noise.

"So where to now?" April asked as thunder was heard in the background. "Looks like there will be rain, there's an old church on maple. My best bet, we crash there until this storm blows." Mouse added as it began to drizzle. 

Several minutes later, the group was soaked and in front of the wooden church on Maple Street. Ian then saw something spray-painted in red, Alive Inside. They then made their way inside as the Rain became heavy rain. After boarding the place up, they lit candles that were inside and started looking around for Flesh eaters. "Ian!" Jacobs yelled from another room, as Ian made his way in the room to see a flesh-eater child. "My God," Ian said while he and Jacobs stared at the once little kid. The kid was anorexic and too fragile to attack and his growls were tiresome. Ian then looked at the empty cans of food scattered into one corner of the room, "Poor kid must've died from starvation." Ian added. Ian then turned away as Jacobs stooped down towards the little boy. "I'm sorry kid," Jacobs added while knifing the kid in the head. They both then walked out of the room. "Alright everyone listen up," Ian said getting everyone's attention. "I wanna Thank you all for trusting me, this world is a complete shit hole, and we have to survive by any means. There are a lot of others like Tarver, but we as a unit, a family can overcome it all. We will figure out what to do with Bobby tomorrow after what he did." Ian said as it showed Bobby with his head down, still cuffed. "Tomorrow we're gonna go look for a safe and secure place we can call home, you people appointed me as your leader, and I thank you for that. There will be rules once we find this new home. Let's survive as a family, it's what Dana would have wanted." Ian added with a pause fighting back tears. Now Let's all get some rest, we have a big day tomorrow." Ian added as everyone went into a spot to sleep. Ian then gave his jacket to Sarah to sleep with. "Jacobs, you get some rest, I'll keep watch for a while," Ian said while walking up to Jacob who was sitting in a church Pugh. "Ian, do you believe in God?" Jacobs asked. "Yeah, I do," Ian answered while looking at an image of Jesus on the cross. "Is that why you're not freaking out like the rest of us?" He asked. "That's part of it, but I know that he will protect us no matter what," Ian said as Jacobs smiled. "Before we were shipped off to Afghanistan, watchdog told me the same thing, Good night bud," Jacobs added as he yawned and stretched then laid on the Pugh and fell asleep.

Ian was up while tears fell from his eyes. He was looking at the picture of him and Dana at the Ski resort. Bobby was sadly looking at him in a distance while sitting on the floor by the window. The wind was heard outside as well as the heavy rain, thunder, and sticks hitting the windows and doors. "I'm sorry.....I'm sorry about everything, the fiasco back at the radio station, getting your wife killed, getting Jason killed, running away and leaving Sarah behind, and running to Tarver and ratting you guys out." Bobby said as Ian looked at him. "Please don't exile me from the group, I'll....I'll toughen up and carry my weight around here. I can't survive on my own Ian. I was wrong about you, you're a strong leader and I want to make it up to you guys, to Sarah." Bobby explained. "Go to sleep Bobby," Ian replied while blowing out the last candle. Bobby then laid his head on the floor still sad.

The next morning, everyone woke up, Ian then saw that the area was cleared and opened the doors to a beautiful morning. "No flesh-eaters here," Ian said as everyone got themselves situated and walked up behind Ian. "Alright everyone, I think it's about time we leave this place," Ian added. "So what do we do with the sellout?" Jacobs asked looking at Bobby who put his head down. "I think we should exile the douche bag." Fish added. "He stays, but if he as so much as think about turning his back on us again, I will personally put a bullet in his head," Ian said as everyone started walking out of the church.

It then showed them walking, Sarah was drinking water, Jacobs was wielding his Ak-47 while Seth and Raven were holding hands, Jordan and Remedy were side by side, Jennifer was walking wielding the bat with the duffle bag, Fish was also drinking water, Isabella was walking while looking at a broken pocket watch from her Grandfather. Ethan and April were walking side by side as well, Dax and Mouse were walking behind the tied-up Bobby who kept his head down in guilt. Finally, Ian was leading the way holding his gun and his backpack on his back. They were walking when Fish blurted out, "flesh-eater!" as Jacobs aimed and shot it in the head. "booyah baby head point is three." Jacobs said towards Fish as Ian stopped and so did everyone else. "Look there's a school up ahead 6 blocks, it has barbed wire fences around it….we're gonna have to clean it out because I'm more aware as you're that there will be flesh eaters inside and maybe survivors…. Now we have some food water and meds but I don't know how long it will last us, but we will talk more once we get there. let's keep moving." Ian added.

About an hour in a half later, they made it to the school. "Okay Fish and Jacobs go make sure the area is secure in the upper part while myself and Jordan search the lower grounds of this place." Ian demanded Calmly as Jacobs replied, "roger that." "what about me?" Sarah asked. "Stay here with everyone. Make sure they behave." Ian said with a smile on his face as he, Jordan, Jacobs, and Fish headed inside of the school.

 "Alright, let's move out" Ian whispered as Jordan had a crowbar and Ian pulled out his hunting knife. 

It then shows Jacobs and Fish in the upper part of the school. "So you and that chick Isabella…..are you two a thing now, I saw you two giving that craving for sex look," Jacobs asked. "Yeah pretty much, just don't know about being in a relationship with the possibility of losing her, you saw what happened back at the radio station when Ian lost his wife, I don't wanna go through that." Fish responded as Jacobs looked in one of the classrooms. "So that guy Ian, what do you think of him?" Fish asked changing the subject as they continued walking in the hallways. "Yeah…he's pretty cool, he got us out of that Tarver situation, we made it out of the Base alive, I mean he found this place as well, and he saved a little kid's life, he's pretty legit in my book," Jacobs added. 

It then shows Ian and Jordan checking the cafeteria. "Got anything, Ian?" Jordan asked. "Yeah we got tons of food here that'll last us a good while, this is a good home base," Ian replied. 

About 25 minutes later, it showed Fish and Jacobs throwing out the last bit of the flesh-eaters bodies as it showed a pile of them in front of the school grounds as Jennifer lit a match and set them on fire. "Well, that's the very last of them," Jordan said. "Alright everyone this is it, this is what we call home now; we're gonna clean this place up, Establish a medical room, a radio room, a watchtower, a gym, sleeping areas, and so on. We can make this work, we are family now, we have each other's backs and watch whoever we let in the group. Now let's get started." Ian announced as everyone smiled a bit.

It then showed everyone cleaning up, Jacobs and Dax were building a watchtower as it shows Ian talking with Jennifer and pointing in a room indicating that it will be the radio room. It then shows Remedy and Sarah picking up some of the trash, then Seth and Raven straightening up the sleeping area.

Next, it showed Ian and little Sarah stacking up the canned food while it shows Isabella fixing up a gardening area, then April and Raven putting up the meds that Ian had from Tarver.

It then showed Ian and Remedy sweeping up the majority of the school, minutes later it showed Mouse drinking some water.

Hours later, it was sunset, and Ian, Jacobs, and Dax were having a conversation. "Look I know the place like the back of my hands there's way more meds, a ton of food, weapons, and ammo and water, and hopefully more survivors. I know it's gonna be dangerous but we have to go." Jacobs explained. "Alright, I checked that bus it's still up and running, take it and gather everything, and everyone can make it back alive." Ian said as Dax asked, "Will you guys be ok?" Looking at Ian. "yeah we'll manage…, Jordan, and Fish will take turns on watch duty…..and here," Ian said as he handed Jacobs a Walkie-talkie "Jennifer will be in the radio room in case of an emergency." Ian added as minutes later, it showed the dirty yellow bus leaving the schoolyard as the chapter ends with Ian walking back in the school while Jordan stood to watch and Fish was closing the gates.
