CHAPTER 18 - EMBRACING POWER

Fejiro had reflections of his fights with the monkeys, for he had overcome his fear of malicious groups and became stronger mentally.

At that moment in the temple, Akpobor was having his own ongoing ordeal, the latent energy not used to balance his heart was in his body.

" I felt like I was about to explode, like my body was full and If I take any more energy I'll burst, and the worst things was that more energy was coming it felt endless."

"Just know there's a way to stop your body from exploding" the temple lady said, if you've noticed the energy right now has healed all your injuries, there's literally no scar in your body again, even the ones you had when you were younger are all gone.

So my advice to you is to keep destroying your body and let the energy heal the destruction, you have to keep that cycle going till the latent energy is diminished.

I became downcast, the thought of destroying my body and then rebuilding and continuing that cycle would make someone literally go crazy, but not doing it would mean my death.

"Is there any other way?" I asked in a pleading tone.

"No," she said in a calm but loud and steady voice.

Hah

I let out a breath in acceptance of what was about to happen, I held my hunting knife and cut my skin, for some reason, the knife had trouble penetrating my skin but that didn't matter when I put all my strength into it, I looked at my hand I barely made a cut and it had started to heal already.

"That's not how you do it, with the way your doing it your body with bloat and burst, your skin has been getting refined by all the energy in your body since you took the heart essence, but your internal parts are weak except your heart. If your skin is too heavy for your bones to handle and it breaks when the energy is finished you'll be a cripple unless you can find something to continue refining your bones and internal organs till they are able to handle your skin."

As I heard what she said I steeled my heart and climbed one of the tall trees in the temple and jumped down, I put my hands in a vulnerable state that would easily break if I landed, and so they broke.

Arghhhhh ahhhhhhhhh

I screamed uncontrollably, my two hands were broken, they weren't in the right position, I couldn't move my fingers, and my hands started swelling, seconds later most of the energy in my body focused on my hands, and in literal seconds my hands were back to normal, they even felt stronger.

The pain of breaking my hands made me have thoughts of stopping this already, but after my body started bloating again I dismissed those thoughts.

As this was going on, akpobor was going deeper into the threshold, the path of pain and strength without him knowing.

I ran shoulder-first at full speed into one of the temple pillars, breaking one of my shoulders, I didn't even think I ran back and did it again on my second shoulder breaking them both.

The wounds didn't even take seconds to heal then I was back at it again, I continued for about two minutes before I started kicking the pillars with my shin at full force. It hurt so much, even more than the time I broke my arms, I did it with both my shins any wound I obtained was cured in less than five seconds, after that I started using my feets till they were dangled and all messed up, it got healed but I still continued so I wouldn't die.

I changed the dangerous stuff I was doing, I started punching the pillars till both my fingers were mangled and destroyed, my fist was bloody with my fingers in opposite direction, which also got healed.

Sigh

I rested in the floor for a moment, the thought of hurting myself was bad, I had to steel my resolve to continue and not to go crazy from all the pain.

I felt lonely, with the sun crashing at me, and the earth my feet won't leave I wished my parents where here, although they wouldn't like to see their child hurting themselves, I might have not gotten myself into this if they were around to guide me.

I continued, I knew a mountain of pain was about to befall me, I jumped from high trees breaking my legs, u ran head first into trees, I broke my ribs which punctured some organs in my body, I couldn't breath moments after that. That was the first time I had punctured an organ, it was painful so painful I had to rest for almost ten minutes even after it got healed, I didn't even care about my body still bloating.

I continued with everything till the sun sat at the middle of the sky, by them most of my body, skin, internal organs, and bones had been refined multiple times and I couldn't even do anything to it anymore.

Tho the energy was still rampaging in my body, it wasn't doing damage anymore, it was just totally strengthing it nothing more, I wasn't bloating my body didn't feel like I was about to burst anymore.

I felt strength, strength like nothing I had ever had before, just punching forward could cause a gust of wind to flow out in the direction I punched, I felt like a could punch a tree in half with two punches, if bad three punches at least.

I was happy about the strength I had obtained, now I could go out of the tribe more often without them restraining me because of my lack of strength, I sat down as I remembered all the things I had to do to obtain my current strength, I had already crossed two life-threatening situation were I almost died.

If I didn't meet the lady in the temple I would have been dead already, she helped me on both situation by saving and advicing me, in which I give gratitude to her. But after all that pain I had finally become stronger.
