399 Not Now

With his work done, Sorren returned to the surface with Queen Willow following closely behind. Upon exiting the tunnel, he looked far out into the distance. Sorren gasped as he noticed the purple flames that engulfed the giant tree that stood in the center of the Jungle. 

His expression turned dark as he let out a sigh. 

Queen Willow noticed it immediately.

"Are you worried that your tunnel might not be ready in time?" she asked. 

Sorren bit his lip. He was surprised that the Spider Queen had read his mind but she was spot on. 

"Yes," he sighed. 

Queen Willow silently nodded. Having the survivors travel through the open forest right now would be too dangerous. To get them from their tunnel to here would be difficult. But she had a solution. 

"If you're worried, I can send more Spider Beasts to help with the digging,"

"But… what about over here?"
