17 Home and Colonial Ambitions

I barley made it home in time for the birth of my first kid, Lydias first child a baby girl Irileth after the woman who trained her in Skyrim.

And the rest of them soon followed. Andromeda, gave birth to a Baby boy named Orion. Narsscia, a girl named Hestia. Bella, a boy named Lio. Lily, A girl named Iris. All healthy and safe, and we would she gone insane if it were not for the number of servants in the house and magic.

We are fo course very active in their lives, we did not put it all off on the servants we did everything normal parents did.

Nym and Rose, loved the babies and were determined to be the best big sisters in the world. They had already started to read them Ned time stories or playing with them.

Life was pretty good, but we still had work to do.

Ned had started his great restructuring of the Northern power structure to be that like a mix Parliamentary structure and The early USA government.

The government is broken down into counties, states and regions. Regions will not become part of the government till we start to colonize.

We even implemented a bill of rights, copying the bill of rights from the USA just cut the parts about voting.

We have a House of Lords and a plan to open a House of Commons but for now the small folk get 1 seat collectively which is more than most get and they are really happy about it. But each Lord House gets 1 seat, as much as I would love to have full free democracy it simply can not happen yet do to the small folk not being ready.

A full law book was created, judges appointed and lawyers courses started thus the rebirth of Northern politics started.

Magical laws were also implemented, classes of spells were developed that went from 0 (households charms) to 10 (generational curses). To get access to these magic we developed license, everyone got class 0s while more schooling or government sanctions were needed for higher level stuff. I was the only holder of a class 10 and was considered like a nuclear football.

Things like housing codes for wards and certificates were implemented for performing craft like healthcare or rune work were needed. In the next 10 years all healers and workers were required to have one.

The First thing on the agenda is for a new name than the North as we are now holding land out side of that.

The colonial ventures even started. Most is still in the planning phase, as we are sending airships to scout Beyond the wall for a bunch of reasons; locating wilding tribes, resources pockets, and White walkers.

As for city location we found a quite a few good locations, most will be for mining in the mountains while the river ones act as outposts, and the coast will be trade locations for going out to the NE for future colonies.

We even found the location of the Night King at the North Pole. I didn't even leave the ship, I just order the men to fire all the weapons on his location. Which much to no ones surprise killed him.

I mean what did you expect, that I had a duel with the guy no I just dropped as much magical fire I could on his ass.

Now with that taken care of, I went and searched for the 3 eyes raven and the last of the children of the forest. The 3 eyed raven I am killing our right, while the children i am split.

They did something heinous making the Night King, but they did it out of pure fire that the men would kill them all. And I am not going to let a magical species die out because of that.

The children of the forest where conflicted, their greatest regret had been killed. Some of them wanted to lay down and die, others wanted to go and find this wizard who had brought back magic.

Leaf though did not know how to feel, she was personally responsible the dying of her people. She didn't know what to do now, what she did want to do was meet the man who had killed her greatest failure.

The 3 Eyed Raven or Brynden Rivers was angry, he had almost done it over 200 years of planning. The right push here a nightmare placed their he was so close to the Iron Throne. He had it all their but he had failed because that bastard of a wizard. But now he knew he had failed and death was coming.

Halvard then entered the cave where they had been hiding.

Mc-"I am conflicted on what to do with you children of the forest. On one hand I know you truly regret what you had done, but you almost doomed an entire landmass to death because of your foolishness. But I can not let a magical race die out by in action, so I am offering a deal. Come to our lands where magic is more saturated and we will help you repopulate your people. But, you will teach us your Magic's while we teach ours and the 3 eyed bastard dies today."

Leaf and rest of the children were stunned, they were not expecting this at all. Some had never hoped of having kids and now they could.

Leaf-"We will speak for a time while You dispose of the bastard."

Hal did even give the Raven time to speak and killed him. While he did this the Last of the Children of the Forest agreed to follow him south below the wall to teach their ways. And hopefully start anew.

The integration process was awkward for the children, most Northmen saw them as sacred and would try to avoid them while the kids would readily come up to them.

They did teach their magic most was long term stuff. Curses that would effect entire land masses or wards while weak could affect weather patterns. Most of the spells would be under heavy restrictions but would be researched heavily.

For the colonial situation We started the first settlement out side of the North and Old Wyk. It is a area to the NNW of Westeros, it is small for now it is mostly a resupply post called Dalrbúð meaning valley shelter

The scouts have also complained about the length to travel to the landmass to the south of here as the trip is long, and they have found no islands for stops. But Rose had a great idea to have a flying city in the ocean and a floating one on the sea. One for sea trade and the other for airships.

With the designs I left the research institute, they went head long into it. New design for a variety of purposes from smallest to biggest; fighter and bomber craft based off WW 1 designs, civilian version of the airships while really expensive they can be purchased we did gift ONE to each lord manned by my men just Incase, the biggest is the Aircraft Carrier that is massive.

For Lily's personal project she decided that she missed trains and how convenient they were. I had completely forgot about them till she mentioned it, so she spent a year going over a bunch of designs that we could reliably build with the skilled labor we have and the technical level we are at.

She decided that the Prussian P8 was the best as the North's average skill and technical level was just a little ahead of the train. So we gathered the family and designed a rough idea of where the trains would go.

By no means were we the only innovators now. As more and more people were educated small business had spring up making anything. Restaurant chains had begun, inventors had filled the gaps in the we had left, the starting of the entertainment industry had begun. As time progressed more people were thinking for themselves and we slowly began marching forward.

For the railroad I did not have a lot of knowledge about, so I left it to the girls to set up. It is going to take about 5 year for the entire North to be be set up for rail.

The tech level of the North is a mixed bag, our teaching standards are that of the modern day. We have modern text books so anyone, with enough perseverance and skill can make modern things. By our industrial level is that of the 1850s.

As for my personal project became magical firearms, my long term goal is to keep the knight culture while updating to guns. They will not be using gunpowder instead they will be using a mix of Dust From RWBY that I had bought front the system and rune inscription bullets.

For the Dust I "Seeded" a couple veins beyond the wall for the excuse of colonies in the mountains and in the North on Ley Lines nexus points so they will slowly expand all over the planet. With dust slowly becoming available our weapons tech will advance.

My hope is to keep the sword skills alive by mixing dust and runes so we can make special divisions for anti armor divisions. This is mainly to keep the Lords happy.

We did start the first two colonies in beyond the wall, one group is going to Hardhome being led by a third son of Lord Manderly. While the other is at the mouth of the Milkwater River led by a group of mountain clans men.

They both are about 500 strong with a division of 50 wizards accompanying them for protection. Hardhome is mostly going to be a trade city for expansion further out east, so most men are ship builder and those who know sea trades. Mikillsteinn the city at the moth of the River is going to be a trade hub for all the future cities that will be expanding along the river and will mostly become the Rustbelt of the North.

With the North expanding more Cities sprung up all over the North and with the ever growing airship, airships ports began to spring up, coastal regions just had them land at their bold port while those inland began to build massive towers with numerous levels for docking.

With each lord having at least one Airship they began using them to trade for expensive and express goods. Like the Karastrarks have begun using there's to Qohor to buy goods from Yi-Ti. Lord Bolton of all people seeing the want of mail services during the war began to start a currier business, he sent his ship from major city to city.

The biggest embraced had Been the Maderlys who had asked me a lot of questions about them during the war about them had once receiving his ordered 2 more so he could trade faster and farther than ever.

I also expanded my trade, I met with Oberyn when he came to the wedding about trade deals. His Brother the king of Dorne to send ice to isolated areas of Dorne. But, for more details I was invited to Sunspear to iron out the details.

After talking to the Girls we tried to figure out who was going to with me as they had not been able to travel as much as we have. I wanted the entire family to go like a vacation now that the youngest of them is 3 now, the girls where a little of the fence about it but eventually caved after much pleading from the kids.

So we took our new private ship, one new cargo vessel, and 2 Destroyers for escort. Oberyn was really happy that we were going via airships and over land at that.

Our full trip will take a 2 month in total, for comparison in real world scale that is like going from Miami Florida to Anchorage Alaska.
