22 Sloan’s Wealth

"You didn't have to kill yourself," Wesley said, pointing his gun at Fox.

"I told you my story," said Fox.

"As I said just now, times are changing. The Loom of Fate has come to an end. We don't need to follow its orders anymore."

"But I haven't changed yet. I'm sorry I can't be with you. Bang." The gun fired and Fox smiled and fell to the ground. Wesley's heart ached for him. He slowly walked over and closed Fox's eyes. "Is FOX a name or a nickname?" He said softly, then picked up Fox's pistol and walked out. The room where the Loom of Fate was placed was a mess, but Sloan wasn't here. Wesley took his time and walked out. When he came out, he saw Sloan sitting on the ground. His legs seemed to be unable to move, and he was looking around with a Mauser.

"Bang!" Wesley raised his gun and fired. The first shot hit Sloan's hand and the Mauser pistol fell to the ground. "Sloan, how did you forget Carlos? Do you think the people on the periphery can really kill him?" Wesley said as he walked to Sloan's side.

"Let me go. I can give you money." Sloan began to beg for mercy, but Wesley was not careless. This guy is also a character who can make bullets turn. Wesley fired again, this time with Fox's M1911. Two shots broke Sloan's arms, and the big caliber was powerful.

Only then did Wesley start searching Sloan. He found a cell phone and nothing else. The old guy ran away pretty quickly, his finger on the phone's data interface. Soon Apple reported, "Bank account and password found, and there is a safe in the bank that needs a key."

Wesley rummaged around again and finally found the key in the compartment of Sloan's suit. Then he raised his hand and shot him dead. He didn't ask any questions, and he didn't need to. Hydra would never have met him, and the meeting would have been between minions.

He took out his own phone. "How are you doing?"

"It's okay, these are just some miscellaneous fish. What should we do now?" Carlos asked.

"Come to me. We need to clean up here and burn it."

"Okay." Carlos was thinking about retiring and living with his son. He didn't need to continue because he was the only one left. The guys on the periphery are afraid to move. They are also a bunch of trash. Carlos won't recruit them. It's better to retire.

A short time later, Carlos arrived. Wesley looked at him and saw that he was not injured. Only then did he begin to check the entire seventeenth textile factory with Carlos and collect the wealth of the Assassins. Most of it was bank cards. Dozens of people did have a lot of bank cards. Wesley gathered their cell phones and matched the passwords one by one. Carlos collected some weapons and ammunition, found a box car, put it in, and began to set fire to it.

Wesley finally came to Fox and picked her up. Then he went to her room, put him on the bed, and kissed her on the lips. "The world is changing. You might be able to see it in the afterlife." With a soft word, Wesley turned and left, closing the door softly behind him.

"Whew… Let's light the fire." Wesley walked out of Textile Mill No. 17. The police seemed to have received orders today. It was still quiet here.

"Are you okay?" Carlos asked Wesley.

"Not bad. Fox and I are two different people. I told you before. So we didn't start, so it's not over." Wesley smiled.

Carlos didn't ask any more questions. He didn't know how to comfort people. Then he fired a shot. The bullet fell on the gasoline-covered ground, and the flames began to spread. Father and son got in the car and left.

"Where are we going next?" Carlos asked.

"Pack up and go to New York, of course. It's a big city. But before that, we need to dig up Sloan's wealth and see what good things he has stored. You can do makeup, right?"

"Of course, the necessary skill of an assassin."

"That's good. We need a different image to take out all the wealth of these people and live a good life. In addition, I still need to continue training. I am not qualified as a graduate of the crash course."

"Okay, I will train you personally. Let's go to the birthplace of the Assassin Brotherhood. My friends are there. You can meet there."

"Of course." The two of them began to talk and laugh as they left, and the No. 17 Textile Mill behind them was already on fire.

The drone observed all of this. "The Gibson father and son destroyed the Assassin headquarters. They are leaving."

"They are indeed powerful. Two people destroyed the assassin's base camp. Those guys on the outside will escape. The two of them are safe. Is the officer back? Do you need us to make contact?"

"No, it seems that things in New York are not simple. We should continue to monitor them and not contact them. Once they are alarmed, they will disappear at any time." The SHIELD agents continued to monitor them remotely and electronically. They did not dare to mobilize their personnel.

Back home, Wesley sat in front of the window with interest and looked at the original rental with binoculars. Casey seemed to have moved away, probably to Barry. Wesley smiled at the thought. Barry was going to be in trouble.

The next day, the father and son split up and began to work. They withdrew the funds from dozens of bank cards. They did not transfer the money but withdrew it directly. Assassins have a habit of recording passwords on their phones. Wesley threw away those that were not recorded.

On the third day, Wesley went to the largest bank. This was where Sloan kept his money. There was more than a hundred million dollars in the account. There was no way to withdraw cash directly from this. Instead, he transferred it to a new stock account and then bought stock in Straker Industries. The stock price was now fifty percent of the original price. It seemed that they had not been able to turn the situation around after Tony Straker left the board.

Next was the safe, which could be opened as long as one had a key. Wesley opened the safe in the single room of the bank. There were several documents inside. Wesley looked at them one by one and smiled. They turned out to be property rights documents for the property, and they were signed by a law firm. If he took the documents to the law firm, he could change the property rights. He was a cunning old fox. If Carlos had not discovered his actions, Sloan might have retired and left.
