1 Evan Swan.

(I lost count of my restarts but this should be the last, maybe... the i was lazy to start from the start, but whatever I'm just going to do it.)

Evan Swan.

I wake up in a cold sweat, breathing heavily.

That dream again. I contemplate.

I've been having the same dream for years but whenever I woke up, no matter how hard I tried, I could not remember the dream. It always felt like I was so close to remembering only for my mind to suddenly go blank and the dream erased from my mind completely. It was as frustrating as it was infuriating because this dream haunted my nights for years on end and I didn't even know what it was about. My mother made me go to therapy but it didn't help one bit, the nightmares kept happening and I was still forced to endure many sleepless nights.

Like usual when my nights are disturbed, I get up and start my day with a three mile jog in an attempt to calm my nerves.

Today's a special day, today's the day me and my sister leave Phoenix and fly to Forks to live with our dad.

Our mom got married about a year ago to a minor league baseball player named Phil. Phil usually travels alot for games and our mom usually stays at home with us, but me and my sister can both tell how much she wants to travel with Phil, so we decided to take the plunge and live with our father in the always cloudy and raining Forks. Bella my sister and I both hate the rain and cold but we were both willing to make that small sacrifice in order for our mother to be happy.

When I finally get back I notice the rest of my family are awake. Mom had just made breakfast while Bella was still packing. I had already finished packing last night, so I was ready to go.

"Hey mom." I greet as I sit down to eat.

"Hey baby, did you have a nightmare again? My mother asks with a concerned smile on her face.

"Yes."

My mother looks at me concerned. "Are you sure it's a good idea to live in Forks, why not stay with me and Phil?" She asks. I can hear the worry in her voice but honestly it doesn't matter if I stay with her, these nightmares won't just dissapear.

"Mom please, I've made up my mind." I say in a tone that doesn't leave room for argument.

My mother frowns slightly then sighs. "Alright then. I'm really going to miss you guys." My mother says while pouting.

"We'll miss you aswell mom." I promise her.

After eating Phil and I packed Bella and my own luggage into the car and then headed to the airport.

After a tearful goodbye between my mother and Bella and myself, we board the plane and leave the sunny skies of Phoenix for the overcast skies of Forks.

We eventually arrived at Port Angeles Airport. The waiting area in the Airport was tiny so we very quickly spotted our dad, who's dressed in his chief of police attire.

"There he is." I motion to my sister Bella.

We make our way over to my dad who seems to have spotted us aswell, if his smile is any indication.

He waves at us awkwardly.

I know he's happy to see us, it's been about 2 years since we last saw him and I can tell he's feeling a little nervous about seeing us again.

"Hi Bella, Evan it's good to see you guys again." My dad greets stiffly.

He looks really tense so I smile trying to ease the tension he's feeling. "Hey dad." I give him a hug which he returns awkwardly, we break apart after a few seconds.

"Hi Charlie." Bella greets as awkwardly as he greeted us.

"Hey Bella, did your hair get longer?" My dad asks.

"No, I cut it since the last time I saw you." Bella answers plainly.

I resist the urge to facepalm hearing the awkwardness between them.

Bella's always taken after my father, hence the awkwardness, while I've always taken after my spirited mom.

The car ride home would've been filled with silence if not for me. I updated dad on our lives, while also asking about his. I told him we won the basketball state championship with me leading my team to victory and earning mvp. He was really proud and couldn't stop grinning as I told the story of our journey to the finals and our eventual win. I also told him that Bella's English essay was entered into a writing competition and won. He was equally as proud of Bella and didn't hesitate to let her know, which caused Bella's face to turn a bright pink. I couldn't help but laugh seeing how embarrassed she was as me and dad both praised her.

Dad's stories however weren't as exciting as ours, I was hoping he decided to move on as mom had but it seems he still hasn't moved on fully, given that he hasn't even dated anyone since him and mom divorced. My dad's life basically consists of work, fishing and watching sports.

When we arrive at home, I notice a monstrosity parked at the front of the house. It's a massive red Chevy truck that looks older then my father, me and my sister combined.

"Who's at the house dad?" I ask because that red Chevy truck looks very familiar, it reminds me of the truck that always stood in Billy's garage whenever I went over to play Jake and Jade.

Jake and Jade are childhood friends of mine, they're basically family given how close my dad and Billy are. Whenever I visited Forks on holiday

"No one, the truck is a homecoming present for Bella." My dad explains noticing me eyeing the truck.

You'd think I'd be unhappy that my sister got a homecoming present and I didn't but I'm not unhappy, in fact I'm relived she's finally got her own transport because that means she won't complain about having to ride on my bike with me like she always does. Yes I have a motorcycle, specifically a Kawasaki ninja I bought working part time and using money I earned winning a few tekken tournaments. My parents chipped in but I didn't actually need it. Even though I play basketball I'm actually a huge nerd. I love reading comic books, manga and I especially love playing video games like Call of Duty and Tekken.

"Good choice." I joke. "That thing looks like it'd survive a nuclear bomb, it's perfect for our Bella." I jokingly say while chucking.

I can feel Bella's heated glare piercing the back of my head, her anger is confirmed by the sudden pain I'm feeling in my right arm. *Ouch* I cry out as if Bella's punch truly hurt.

My father chuckles seeing our playful banter.

As soon as we get out the car Bella walks over to our truck examining it. "This is really great dad, thank you." Bella still sounds stoic but there's a hint of some genuine emotion within her plain voice.

My dad's face instantly brightens at Bella's delight over the truck. "You're welcome Bells." He calls her by her old nickname he used for her when we still visited. "I bought it off Billy Black, you remember him right?" Dad asks us.

"No wonder this truck looked familiar, i remember seeing it at their house when I went to play with Jake and Jade."

"Speaking of Jake and Jade, they heard you guys were coming and are coming over later with Billy to watch the game." Dad informs us.

"Awesome, it'll be good to see them again." I respond with a giant smile on my face. I'm genuinely excited to see them again, we were always close and I found myself missing hanging out with them in the two years since I saw them last.

They arrive an hour later with Sue's homemade fish fries.

Jake still looks like same scrawny geek he was the last time I saw him, he's also rocking that awful long black hair which I told him to cut because he really doesn't suit him.

Jade however has transformed quite abit. No longer is she the short chubby girl that always wore her hair in pigtails. She's grown considerably and is now only an inch or two shorter then me. Her black hair is quite short hanging slightly above the nape of her neck and honestly it really suits her. Her face is much more refined now and I can't deny that it caught me off guard. She was always kind of cute not that I'd notice that before but looking back I can see it. Now she's become astonishingly beautiful, she has super model good looks with a curvaceous body to match it. I could say with confidence that Jade was probably the most beautiful women I've ever laid eyes on. When our eyes meet I'm stunned as I never realized how beautiful they were, they're a beautiful pool of amber and the more I look into them, the more I find it hard to look away, but just as I'm staring into her eyes she's staring back into mine. Suddenly the weirdest thoughts start popping into my head about Jade. What the hell's wrong with me, it must be my stupid hormones. I quickly shake off the weird thoughts and finally break our staring contest.

"Jake, Jade it's good to see you guys again." I hug each of them individually. "Bella, this is Jake and Jade." I introduce Bella.

"Hey Bella long time no see." Jade smiles and gives Bella a tiny wave.

"Hey." Bella greets back awkwardly.

"Hi, we used to build mud pies together as kids." Jake says with an overenthusiatic smile.

Jeez he still hasn't gotten over his crush on Bella. I groan inwardly.

Every since we were kids Jake would follow Bella around like a lost puppy, it was sad to watch honestly but if anyone's allowed to date my sister, I would chose Jake. I trust Jake to treat her right.

"Yeah I remember. "Bella tells a blatant lie, but Jake seems to believe it, if that goofy smile is any indication.

I sigh inwardly at my idiotic best friend. "Come on guys the games starting, let's go watch the Redskins lose." I joke.

Jake frowns displeased at the thought. "Please the Redskins are winning it all this year." Jake says confidently.

"Sure they are." I say patronizingly. I'll leave him in his delusions. It feels like the Redskins get worse with each year that passes, but let me not ruin Jakes optimism.

Watching the game with everyone was fun, as much as I believe the redskins suck, I still support them wholeheartedly.

Bella didn't really care about the game but she seemed to enjoy talking to Jade about whatever they were talking about.

During the game, I caught myself on more then one occasion peeking at Jade unsure why I was. My eyes just seem to be drawn towards her, it's like I had no control over them. Jade didn't seem to notice or if she did she pretended she didn't.

Everytime i think about it, my mind cannot come up with any reason why I couldn't keep my eyes off her.

I know I love her, but as a sister rather then as a girl. The only other explanation is lust but no matter how beautiful she's become, I'd never lust over her especially since she's Jakes sister, not to mention she's one of my best friends. I should stop thinking about it, let me concentrate on the game.

In the end the Redskins managed to pull off a miraculous win against the Saints.

Uncle Billy, Jake and Jade left after the game, I told Jake and Jade we should hang out this weekend and thankfully they both agreed to it happily.

After saying goodnight to dad, I took a quick shower before heading off to bed. It doesn't take long for me to fall Asleep tired from my reoccurring nightmare.

I know people don't like OC on OC romance, but think of Jade as a replacement for Leah. The reason I don't just make Leah the love interest is because of Sam. Besides this isn't even supposed to be seen, considering I have it hidden but for some reason the novel still shows up. I want to use this as experimentation, so restarting could occur.
