13 Sparring
"I learned some new tricks." My dad said while releasing a gush of mana. My dad is an aviver, so he solely focuses on using the mana to enhance his body, but my dad has also been working on using his elements in battle too. Father can use two elements, fire and space. Using space magic is very hard but when you master it, you will have an advantage over an opponent since it can teleport the user to a direction they desire, it can also bend time for a few seconds. Using this magic can use up a lot of mana, that's why space magic isn't popular.

Seeing my father use fire and space magic made me pretty impressed. But I can use a bit of space magic myself.
My father leaped forward and used his fire fists to punch me several times, his speed has increased dramatically; I can only do a few punches until I got hit by one of his fire fists.
I leaped back and gathered mana in my hands creating water that is circling around in my hands, 'only water can oppose water' I thought that the only chance to survive is by using water against fire.
I used my earth magic to help me leap forward, causing the floor beneath me to crack into a crater. I leaped forward and used the momentum and shock from my father and the rest to my family advantage.
As I punched him in the stomach he stumbled backwards.
"Hahaha, how did it feel getting punched in the guts." I said grinning.
"That was nothing, now I'm going to get serious." As soon as my father said that he leaped forward again at an incredible speed, faster than last time.
I also leaped forward and both clashed out fists together, making a thunderous 'boom', causing our surroundings to burn up.
We both looked at each other and started to laugh. My dad ruffled my hair and said, "now that's my boy, who expected you to be this good!" My dad said laughing wholeheartedly. I couldn't help but grin.
My mom ran to me and hugged me tight. "Are you okay Aug?!"
"Yea, I'm fine." I assured her.
She shook her head and started pinching my dad for being too rough with me.
The others walked towards us, "Browder, you're so cool!" Eliza said while hugging me.
"Wha- How? Your son is incredible!" Uncle Andrew said.
"I've never expected that, he really is something isn't he." Aunt Amelia said, clearly amazed.
"Let's go back inside and eat dinner, we will talk about this when we eat." My father said while opening the door to go back inside.
As we ate we began to talk about the sparring.
"You should really take your son to Myths Academy in the future, I bet he would learn a lot there." My uncle suggested.
"I don't know, it really depends on him if he wants to. I was planning for him to go to the military and help me in the future when he is old enough." My father said.
"<i>Sigh</i> Why are you both thinking about his future without asking him what he wants to do." My mom said.
'Helping in the military won't be bad, but I also want to be an adventurer.' I planned out everything in my head of what I wanted to do.
"Honey, what do you want to do?" My mom asked. Everyone's head turned towards me.
"I wanted to be an adventurer but I still want to go to school and help dad out. So, I was thinking that why not let me be an adventurer for a few years then when I'm old enough I could go to school, since I'm only 5. When I graduate from school I could help dad out in the military." I suggested. I wanted to do all the things, I wanted to experience everything, even if I did it already in my old life because everything is a fresh start.
"An adventurer? That would be too dangerous for you." My mom said, I could see the worry in her eyes.
"Hmmm, why don't we have a bodyguard for him? The bodyguard should be someone who we know and could protect him." My father suggested.
"But who can guard him? He's like a little devil!" My Uncle exclaimed.
Everyone laughed, "It's true, he is pretty scary for a little kid." My dad joked.
"Well...I have a close friend, and she is in the military with me. She's also pretty talented so I think she could teach Aug a few things during his adventures." My dad suggested.
"Alright, so we should ask her first." My dad said.
"Ah, one more thing, I want you to celebrate your birthday first, then you can prepare and go to your adventures." My mom added in.
"Ok, ok, that's reasonable."My dad agreed.
"Also, you can leave the school thing to me since I have quite a good connection with the headmaster." My Uncle said.
"Thank you uncle." I was surprised that he had such a connection, I'm so lucky to be born into this life hahaha.
We all went back into our respected rooms, and me and Ari went to sleep after a satisfying dinner.
<i>Tomorrow</i>
I was having a good sleep from all the traveling until Eliza jumped on me.
"Ugh."
"Browder! Mommy told me to wake you up!" Eliza said while giggling.
"Okay." I said while sitting up.
Eliza ran out the room and I woke up Ari.
"Ari let's go take a bath." I said while picking up Ari.
<i>'Noooo! Papa I don't want a bath!'</i> Ari said while using her claw to clench onto the bed sheets.
"Well, you have no choice today Ari." I said grinning.
After I took her into the bath she relaxed.
"See, it isn't so bad." I said laughing.
<i>'Hmph! I won't forgive you!'</i> Aria said in an angry tone.
"What do you want this time?" I sighed.
<i>'Give me two pieces of bacon!'</i> She said, smirking.
"Do I have to?" I didn't want to give her my bacon, I know this is childish, but bacon is my everything!
<i>'Yes or I won't forgive you!'</i> It was clear that she won't change her decision so I accepted.
"Fine, but only today." I said in a defeated tone.
<i>'Yay! I will forgive you after you give me the bacon.'</i> She is one smart bastard that's for sure.
We both finished taking a bath and went down to eat. I gave her two pieces of bacon and she forgave me.
We went out into the city to explore it a bit since I haven't had the time to explore around. We went to the city with my Aunt, her daughter, My mom and my little sister.
"Let's go cut your hair Aug." My mom said.
"Huh? Why? Does it look that bad?" I asked.
"Well if I say your hair looks like mop, what would you say?" My mom chuckled a little.
"Hahaha, browders hair is a mop." My mom teased.
"Fine, fine but not too short, okay?" I said.
"Okay." My mom agreed.
We went to the barber and this weird bulky dude is cutting my hair…
"Mom, do I really have to do this?" I asked eagerly.
"Just relax, it's not going to hurt."
"Bu-" The barber interrupted me when I was trying to speak.
"I am going to make you fabulous." The barber said.
"Uhhh…" I was really unsure about this, and Ari was just laughing at me in the corner.
The barber finished cutting my hair, it took like 30 - 45 minutes to cut my long hair.
When I finished, my hair had the medium hair length that went a bit above my ears,with a long 4/6 parted bangs hairstyle.
For some reason my mom also bought some new clothes for me. A white t-shirt and slim fit trousers.
"You look handsome honey." My mom smiled in satisfaction.
Sigh "The barber was scary though." Seriously, every time I think of that barber it just gives me the shivers for some reason.
"Now my browder looks proper enough." she said with a mischievous grin.
"You too?!" I said sarcastically.
Everyone started laughing at Eliza and me. We went to a restaurant and as soon as we stepped in the employees recognized aunt Amelia and my mother, since aunt Amelia owned a very well known auction place. Also, I just found out but my mom was a combat mage in the military and a very influential one at that.
Both of my parents are people in the military who are powerful and influential. My mom has the title of Lieutenant General which is right under the title of general.
I think the manager came and greeted up and guided us to the table. Looking at the person's clothes I could tell they were on a higher rank than the rest of the employees, as I looked into the manager's eyes I could see fear and worry, but I just shook it off since I didn't care.
'Papa, I want bacon.' Aria said, I could hear my stomach growl.
'Okay, I will order some bacon for you' I said, laughing inside my mind.
By the time we finished eating and shopping around a bit more, it was already dusk so we went back home.
