1 Darkness

There was always a superstition about dying, being at the end of the tunnel and seeing the light, that is when you know you are dying or something like that, I can't quite remember. I never thought of the day when this would happen, but it happened right now, I think I was 30 when I died; I guess retiring as a King was a good idea to make before dying.

I could feel my body but everything else was darkness, nothing but a white speck of light in front of me. It felt so far away yet somehow I felt like I could reach it, trying to reach my hand out, felt nothing, only emptiness— like I was floating in an unknown space but then I heard it,

"It's time" a faint but calming voice whispered,

"What? What do you mean it's time?" I asked questionably, afraid of what is going to happen next once my time was up, I had so many questions on what was going to happen to me but then the voice interrupted my thoughts.

"I will see you once you are ready" once again, another soothing voice filling my head with a warm sensation,

I got closer and closer to the light making me feel warm inside, then my eyes felt heavy, as my eyes slowly closed there was no more light but more darkness.
