17 Adventuring (1)

Everyone from yesterday came for their mission. We all grouped up in the same arena and waited for our instructors to give out our missions.

I was grouped up with 3 veterans, 2 boys and 1 girl. There was also a guy who was about the same age as me, with pitch black hair and stormy gray eyes, I think his name was Luke. Xavier was also in our party with 2 of his noble buddies, each besides him.

"Alright! Have you all gotten into your parties? If you didn't please come to me after I announce a few things." The instructor said before looking at his sheet of paper.

"All of the parties have different missions; depending on your rank, your missions will be harder or easier. Every party has at least 2 to 3 veteran party members in the case of an emergency. Each party member will be rewarded equally, knowing that if you make a mistake causing one of your party members life; you will be heavily charged with an addition of consequences after you pay for the death you've caused as a product of your mistake(s). We will not let you go even if you come from a very influential or powerful family. Consequences will be paid. If something bad happens please let the veteran members handle it, if they can't handle it please run. Don't think that your pride will be ruined because if you die, it will be far worse." The instructor finished saying everything he needed to say and waved us off to go to our missions.

All the parties split from the arena and went on their paths for their missions.

"Alright, we should all introduce ourselves before going on the mission. I will start first, I'm Oliver." Oliver said as he gestured to the guy next to him to introduce himself.

"I'm Shane, nice to meet you all." Shane said bowing.

"My name is Embry, hope we have a good time together on your first mission." She said smiling at us.

We all introduced ourselves and I found out the names of the two buddies next to Xavier; 'Aiden was the guy with dark brown hair and Diem is the guy with yellow-blonde hair'

'I'll remember that for you' Ari said, happily.

"Is your memory that perfect?' I asked.

'Mhm' She confirmed.

'Alright then.'

All of us walked to the big wooden carriage heading off to our missions.

Our first mission was to kill some goblins and orcs, this mission was considered easy for people who were ranked B and over so I think it won't be bad. If we don't do anything stupid then everything will be fine.

The trip took us outside of the kingdom walls and into the forest where there were monsters and beasts of all kinds, ranging from rank F all the way to S, but there were rarely any kind of S ranked monsters.

This trip will take us mostly a month or two from traveling there, fighting the monsters, then traveling back.

2 weeks later

After multiple nights, staying at inns and traveling to different towns, most of us were tired of even doing our missions; so we decided that we would rest for today and recharge our mana to fight tomorrow.

After waking up early in the morning I did my daily routines and my partie began to pack everything up to get ready for the mission.

Surprisingly, Xavier and his buddies haven't caused much trouble during these few weeks. We have been traveling peacefully these few weeks, talking with each other and getting to know each other more…

"We are arriving at the cave." Oliver warned us.

Ahead of us there was a cave where our mission is, the instructor said that there will be a lot of goblin tribes and orcs in there.

Shane and Oliver took the lead while Embry stayed with us; behind to protect us. I could hear goblins in the cave, the cave stanked of raw meat and dirty feces all over the floor.

Goblins in this part of the country were disgusting creatures, they are way more brutal and dirty.

The goblins have caused a lot of ruckus to towns near this part of the forest.

Orcs and Goblins are different in some ways but still related to goblins. Orcs are bigger, and stronger. While goblins are smaller and weaker, but smarter than orcs.

Goblins have the brains but Orcs have the strengths. That's what my father had taught me in combat.

Anyways, we slowly crept behind the boulders in the cave and waited for the right moment. Shane took out his daggers and signals us to unleash our weapons.

I unleashed my katana and Sophia took out her claymore. Everyone else followed our lead, some took out there swords and daggers while others took out their wands.

We all got ready, waiting for Shane's signal. As soon as he moved both of his fingers forward, we charged.

The fighters in the front line while the casters in the back. This battle was too easy, it was a one-sided massacre.

"Alright! Good job, let's pack all the materials up and get back to the carriage. We will head to the orcs tomorrow and then head back to the Adventurers Guild after. If things don't go wrongs, we will be able to head back in a month or so." Oliver announced.

'This was too easy.' I thought to myself. Mostly because goblins were known more for their strategies, that's why dozens of people have been killed by them, even if they weren't strong they had the brains.

'Something must have happened…' I was too suspicious of this, did something scare them away to hide in here? Usually goblin tribes are spread in different areas of the forest, not bunched up together.

'Don't too much now, we have to focus on the things ahead of us now. Things will slowly show themselves later on.' Ari assured me.

'Alright, but I should still be ready for what will happen in the future.'
