Chapter 19

** Authors Note.**

I went on Vacation to visit my Grandma in Nevada, and I took my PC with me. I had a great time. My PC did as well. So it decided to extend its stay. It finally came home.

**End Note**

Lothol minor

We awoke to Na-Ni calling our names. After our morning ablutions Bastille and I headed up to the cockpit. Once there Na-Ni moved from the pilots seat.

"You have command, sir"

"I have command. Thank you Na-Ni. Pleas take the 3rd seat and configure your console for communications. Bastille I want you on sensors. We need to find potential locations to get resources. Na-Ni keep track of the current salvagers and plot there positions on the map so we can keep away from them, as we don't want to get caught in any claim jumping. If you find a central authority then we need to stake a claim or go over the sections already picked over.

With the tools available we don't need working parts like most people, instead we need materials. I have the plans and the 'Forge' can make them. We just need to be on the look out for superconductor segments, Some hull plates, and transparasteel. If we find a hyper drive, or reactor chamber, we should scavenge them as well. Thou core components of any blaster of any size would be nice as well.

On the locals side if any come round we can trade credits or gold for the salvage at a rate of 1 to 10. We'll run it through the dissembler before we pay for it so we can make sure it has the needed materials.

Now

The passing stars went from blazing past to pinpoints in the vast expanse of inky dark.

Bastille was the first to call out "Contacts. Lothal has a debris cloud with an aged space station that appears to be hauling in the hulls of picked over wrecks and off loading materials. From hear it looks like the materials are in pellet form, which is good for most smelters and manufacturing facilities."

Na-Ni in the back called out her own version of information. "It looks like there is a minor authority based out of the station. The only thing they cover is claims and salvage pick up. their VI's information is limited. Claims are only held by the local guild for 4 weeks before you need to make an additional claim. Independent operators, like us, don't need to file a claim and any claim we bid on will be low priority. The large wreaks go unclaimed due to the cost involved in claiming any thing larger than a corvet. Local guild by-laws say that the salvage is open for four weeks to independents before the Guild can take claim. At this time there are a total of 3 ships that are currently slated as open salvage.

1 is a heavy bulk freighter that looks snapped in half.

1 is a passenger liner that looks to have been shot to the core and back.

last is an ugly class destroyer. The ugly is made up of 3 medium freighters, 4 light freighters, 7 star-fighters, and the aft end of a heavy bulk freighter. Unfortunately it has more holes than a colander and every shield and weapons emplacement has been slagged."

Actually Na-Ni that is the best bet right there. How long has the Ugly been siting there?

Na-Ni queries the VI. "Logs indicate that the ugly has been there for just over 2 weeks. There are 10 days left on its open salvage. Based on talks between you and Bastille I would recommend docking here. Its near the crew berths and galley. You can then set up an exchange to get more salvage by trading refurbished items for junk. We'll just cut in right here. Place a temporary airlock and attach the ship. Then after a few hours of repair we set up shop trading salvage for services.

"This sounds like a plan. Na-Ni will be in charge of the exchange, I will take the consignment work and Bastille will be in charge of refreshments. Na-Ni please up dte the VI of our intentions.

###Scene Break###

A few hours later After negotiations with the guild and the VI we got local acceptance to set up shop in the galley of the Ugly. We posted our Rule and services on the local net with a time of opening for tomorrow.

Once at the ship we donned our Hard suits then depressurized the majority of the ship and began to cut out an air lock. This one was just a hole cut in to the outside of the ship with the 'Door' being refined back in to wire for our welders to plug any holes.

Once in side we began to look for holes in the ship and fill all the holes that were less than an inch with just weld wire. Any thing bigger and we would pint up a plug to patch up the hole.

Once all of the holes were filled we grabbed a few doors and made a pair of air locks. We had to print off a pair of vacuum pumps, and a pair of control boards with attached sensors. Then with a few lights and wire runs and a BOLD permanent marker we made indicator lights for our air locks. we then turned on the environmental shields for the external doors and grabbed several atmospheric canisters to re-pressurize the galley

Once the exterior was taken care of we began to work on the interior. We moved a few counters to make a work area. Then pulled down a few ceiling panels to act as signage. After about 8 hours we had a nice work area along the exterior wall just in front of the door to the Raven. The main area had 8 long tables 4 on each side of the area. Behind the counter we had a wheeled cart for Na-Ni or I to take to the forge for dismantling and re-materialization in to new items or parts.

over all we were satisfied with the set up. we then set security and went to bed. Na-Ni spent the rest of the night finding and fixing air leaks
