Chapter 1

*Groan* "Why is it so bright this fucking early." A groan followed by a complaint can be heard as a handsome man with long thick black hair, blue eyes, a chiseled body and a well trimmed beard sat up in the bed. His eyes cracked open as he froze and looked around in confusion.

"Okay… better question… Where the hell am I?" The man looked around the room in slight panic and vigilance.

'Wait, why does this room look vaguely familiar… like I've seen it in a picture or something…'

'I can think of that later….. this room is much more futuristic that anything I remember…'

Before he could figure out where he was, a light knock was heard on the door to the room, which he didn't take a good look at up to that point.

"Captain, I came to wake you up, we are nearing our destination." A feminine voice was heard from the other side of the door.

'Captain? Are they talking to me? Why would -' the man's thoughts were cut off.

The knock came again, this time a little more forceful, followed by a louder tone "Captain!"

Not bothering to cover his naked upper half, he walked over and opened the door to the room, which slid to the side. Waiting on the other side of the door was an extraordinarily beautiful girl with white hair, red eyes, D cup breasts, a thin waist and large hips. She was relatively short, only reaching 5'2. She looked at him before sighing.

"Captain, we are twenty minutes from reaching Axis Station." She said with a faint smile at the man she stood in front of, who at this point hadn't said anything and only stared at her with an unreadable expression.

"Selene…" the man said in a hesitant voice.

"Yes captain?" The woman asked, maintaining her smile.

Suddenly the man pulled her into a hug, causing the girl to yelp with a noticeable blush on her face as her breasts pressed into his toned stomach. "C-captain, what's wrong." Selene finally stammered out after 5 seconds.

The man released her from the hug, and smiled at her, "Nothing, I'm just glad to see you that's all. Also, while we're in private, call me Andrew…"

"A-alright." The girl said, still flustered by the hug, but didn't deny him and even smiled shyly at him.

Andrew's PoV

'I knew it. I knew that room looked familiar. How could it take me so long to recognize my own living quarters I made in my spaceship over the last 12 years. I mean sure, I only saw it through the screen. As soon as I saw Selene though, I knew where I was. I'd obviously recognize the NPC I created years ago as my ship operator. I really am inside Stellaris Conquest, or at least my space ship from it. Luckily I kept my looks… not to be narcissistic, but I'm handsome, and I take care of my body. I'm a salesman after all, no one wants to do business with some greasy fat loser with zero social skills.'

'First things first, I need to figure out where I am. I already confirmed this wasn't a dream when I hugged Selene. There's no way I would've felt her body heat in a dream… Hell, she's an android… I wasn't even sure she had body heat until just now. I wonder how her- nope getting off topic, think with that head later. She said that we were arriving at Axis station, which is the starting area in the game. First I need to check and look at my identification and how much money I have.'

"Alright, let me get dressed and I'll meet you in the cockpit in a minute." I told Selene as she blushed slightly again and ran off towards the front of the ship.

'Cute' I thought seeing her blushing face, before shaking those thoughts away. After a quick shower I made my way into the cockpit and sat down in my chair next to Selene, who was preparing to pull us out of the hyperlane.

'Well this is my ship after 12 years, this baby is a monster, or was in the game. I'm not sure how it will hold up here. Also Selene didn't join me until after 4 years, so that gives me some reassurance I'm not starting from scratch. I'll do a bio-scan once we dock to check my skill levels. For now let's check how much velum I have.' I pulled up the terminal, and to my utter delight, I saw a completely massive number appear.

Balance: 780,020,002,010,000 velum

'Holy shit…. I have my entire balance… I was single handedly richer than every royal family except one, and even then I wasn't far off. Well guess I don't have to worry about money…. Ever.' I thought with a silly grin on my face.

Selene looked at my in confusion, "Cap- Andrew.. why do you look like that." She started before correcting herself quietly.

Coming out of my reverie, I looked at her with a smile, "Nothing just confirming something. I want us to both do a bio-scan once we dock. We can go resupply once we are done, I need to check something."

She tilted her head, but agreed nonetheless. 'God I love that about the androids of this world. Even though they're called androids, they are basically human. Other than the fact their brains are machines and not well, organic, they're just people.' I thought finding her head tilt adorable.

'Alright stop thinking how cute she is, I can do that later. Good thing when I made her, I made her shy and loving as hell with me. God I was lonely back then. Ohh well, the me now is getting rewarded for it.' I thought, proud of my past self's pitifulness.

We dropped out of the hyperlane and arrived in front of a massive space station, Selene contacted the docking authorities requesting permission to dock, which when showed my Mercenary License, they immediately granted us access.

I looked Down at my terminal, which showed the Mercenary License I had just sent over.

That's the end of the first chapter! I know some of it might be confusing but I'll explain the world lore more in the future. Also I suck at naming, the last name and ship name we're just random there's no significance.

Next chapter will be some more development but I plan to explain the two big things, the Mercenary guild and Mercenary Ranks next chapter.

Also money ratio is 1:1. 1 Velum = $1.00 USD. This might come up later in the story, I dunno.

Also, hold any questions about world setting, I will be adding a few auxiliary chapters explaining this throughout the next week or two.
