Chapter 2 : New Game!
'Soul transformation? What!? Where are they taking my soul to?!?'
[3...2....1... Soul transformation is completed.]
Kenji then got a shock in his head making him lose consciousness.
'Ugh... My mind is. Its fading....'
As Kenji was thinking how his minds is fading his eyes slowly closed.
Chapter 2 : New Game!
Birds were chirping. Kenji was laying unconscious on a stack of haybales. Suddenly a cow came close to the unconscious Kenji. The cow then stick it's tongue out and started to lick Kenji's cheek.
Kenji came to conscious. He slowly opened his eyes. When he opened his eyes. He saw 2 big nostrils of a cow. He got startled.
"AHHH!"
"MOOOOO!"
Hearing Kenji scream, the cow ran away.
Kenji leaned on the wall while sitting. He then looked around him.
'Where am I? What is this place? How did I got here?'
Kenji stood up on his legs and started to walk around the field. His face was very confused.
"I know. Its just a dream. Its just a bad dream. If I just pinch my cheeks then I will wake up."
Kenji pinched his left cheek hard enough to make the cheek red.
"OW OW OW!"
Kenji then started to rub his red cheek.
'I felt damage. Does that mean this is actually real? Where am I? Did I die? I didn't wanted to die like this. Like playing games and dying. I will be a bad examples for all the other gamers around the world. Please forgive me!!'
While Kenji was trying to figure out where he was. A female voice was heard in his head and a screen was shown in front of him.
[Welcome Player Kenji. This is 'NEW LIFE!'. We hope that you enjoy this game. It seems like you are new. Would you like to see the tutorial?]
'Huh? 'NEW LIFE!'? Does that mean I got reincarnated in the game? What?'
[Would you like to go through the tutorial?]
"Yes.."
The text on the screen changed. It started with a summary of the NEW LIFE! game.
['NEW LIFE!'. Its a game about a open world game. Since you won the giveaway you were given special powers and advantages in this game.]
"Haha its a joke right? You got me stuck in this game and you will be giving me advantages? Haha... I like it."
[I'm sure you know how the movements and camera works. So we are going to the fighting keybinds.]
'....'
[To fight. Click the left button on your left joystick....]
"Ok skip the fighting parts...."
[As you say.... Since you are a giveaway winner.. You will be given a special power to level up and grow stronger..]
"Wow.. So, I can become stronger.."
[There is a inventory, status bar, health bar and a online shop. You can go to any of these by saying open and where you want to go.]
'I see.'
[You will be now completing a quest... After this quest, the game will start.]
'Huh? A quest?'

"Slimes? That should be easy.... Anyway a pet? I'm looking forward to what does that do...."
Suddenly many slimes started to spawn....
"Wait. You call this a slime?"
The slimes were at least 2 meters tall. Huge body. Green gell and more....
Seeing Kenji, the slimes started to rush at him. Kenji started to run but at the opposite direction.
"WAIT I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS!"
'Dammit! I don't know what happens if I die. And I can't die at the first quest. Or I can't call myself a pro.'
Kenji turned behind and shouted.
"INVENTORY!"
Then suddenly a new tab opened. It was the inventory. There was many empty bars in there. But, a bar was occupied by something.
Kenji then reached his hand to the thing that was occupying the box. Then a wooden sword came out.
"Seriously? A wooden sword? Well what ever..."
Kenji then charged towards the slimes.
*Slash*
He then sliced from the middle of the slime into two pieces.
Then the slime started to vaporized into thin air. Kenji was shocked.
'Wait.. Am I stronger and faster now?'
Then a notification came in front of him..
>You gained 10 xp.<
'So this is the xp system?'
Kenji kept on staring at the notification.
"Open Status Bar."
Then the status bar opened.
There was many stuff in there. A stats section, xp section, a mana bar showing how much mana he has left.
Kenji focused on the xp section.

'I see.... So I need to kill 9 more slimes to level up. If they are this weak. Then I can defeat them.'
While Kenji kept on staring at the XP section. A slime came from behind him tried to attack him.
Kenji sensed danger and he looked back and saw the slime try to attack him.
*Whoosh*
Kenji jumped forward and dodged the slime's attack,
'Ohhh, that was close. I almost died there. I feel like my sense is also improved. Guess its for the status section.'
The slime kept on attacking with water.
*Whoosh*
The slime's movement was slow. Kenji kept on dodging the attacks.
Kenji then stopped.
*Whoosh*
Kenji charged forward with his sword and closed the gap quickly.
'As expected. I'm faster now.'
*Slice*
Kenji cut the slime in two. After getting cut, the slime again vaporized in thin air again.

Kenji then started to charge towards the other slimes.
*Slice* *Slash* *Whoosh*
One by one. He cut the slimes into two pieces.

'So I'm now level 2. You get 3 stats points every time you level up.'
Kenji then opened his stats section.
"Stats Section!"
A new screen came with some new stuff.

Kenji then closed the screen....
Another screen appeared in front of Kenji.....

Kenji then opened his mouth and said.
"Accept Reward 1...."
A new screen came in front of him. It showed that Reward 1 was accepted and 500 XP was rewarded.

"So I'm now level 7... Lets see..... Open Status Section..."
Status section screen was opened. He saw that there was 15 stat points remaining.
He had spent it all on strength, agility, health, mana and stamina equally.
"Ok so now I'm stronger. Now lets open the 2nd reward. Accept Reward 2...."
A pouch spawned on his hand. He opened the pouch and saw 200 gold in the pouch.
"200 golds. Nice. Its a good start.. So now. Time for the 3rd reward. A pet. I hope I get a strong one... So lets go.... Accept Reward 3....."
A screen came in front of him. Then many rewards were there. Then it said to spin.
"A spinning system? Does it depend on my luck? Anyway.... Start spinning."
The screen started to spin. Many pets were shown. Some were dogs. Some were slimes and so on.....
After some time, the spin stopped at a item...
"What! What is this!"
It stopped on a red looking egg.. The egg's name was unknown as well as the rarity and the rank of the egg. Kenji was confused why he was given an egg.
"Do I need to wait for the egg to hatch? How do I even hatch this egg? Do I need to sit on it like how a chicken does? I hope not..."
While Kenji was observing the egg... A female voice called out to him from a distance. Kenji looked at his left and saw a girl his age running towards him.
Kenji then put the egg in his inventory as he didn't want the girl to see it...
As the girl came closer, Kenji looked at the girl's chest..
'Huge!"
The girl came close to Kenji and stopped in front of him.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?"
Kenji kept staring at the girl's chest. And he didn't answer.
The girl waved in front of Kenji's eyes. Kenji then noticed that the girl was talking to him.
Kenji then opened his mouth.
"Who are you?"
"I'm Kano Saki... What is your name? What are you doing here?"
"I'm Murano Kenji... I'm just passing by.... What are you doing here?"
"I'm an adventurer... I heard that there was some wolves wandering here. Anyway it is dangerous here. You should go away..."
"There is an adventurer guild here?"
"Uhhh. Yes...."
'Adventurer's guild. If this game plays by the story. Shouldn't I join the guild? Anyway... Lets see if I can join it...'
"Actually... I want to be a adventurer too.... Where can I join?"
"You serious? You don't look like someone who can even pass the entrance exam.."
"So there is an entrance exam. Anyway, if I help you with your quest in slaying all the wolves. Will I be qualified to join?"
"I guess....."
"Alright... Lets go then.."
Kenji and Saki started to walk towards the jungle...
