19 Twilight

They were in the middle of what looked like a giant underground cavern. In the surroundings, there were strange lights that looked like millions of eyes in the atmosphere all around, even partially inside the cave walls and floor.

Jody looked down at his glowing platinum body and almost passed out. After his shock, he realized that he looked corporeal while illusory in strange contrast. His body was the size of an eight-year-old child, which baffled him.

Not even two meters in front of him was a dashing platinum-colored youth with a similar form, who looked to be about eleven years of age, wearing white clothes and floating in the air while staring down at a yellow river. Next to him was a floating broadsword that was pure golden and massive. It had mystic runes on the hilt and blade and a glowing red gem at the base. The youth seemed to sense something, quickly turning his head around.

When Sylvester saw the spiritual eyes of the eight-year-old staring back at him, he felt incredulous. He asked only one question, "What is your name?"

"My name is Jody," Jody replied calmly. "Who are you? Where are we? What is this?"

"You seem rather steady-minded. So, you're not quite as useless as I thought. Hm?"

Wuuu~

Awa~~~

"Is this…a Dragon Chant?" said Sylvester, observing the change in his surroundings.

A change that seemed to have been triggered by the strange soul in front of him who had finally regained consciousness.

A mysterious melody lingered in the air, sounding as beautiful as it was terrifying. It felt like a song of pure destruction. Just then, a rumble sounded as the ground started quaking.

The youth in white then spoke again, as the world continued to quake, "It seems I won't have time to answer any of your questions, for you surely have too many. Call me Prince Tricko. Listen, you trust me, yes? Do not doubt that feeling. We are already companions. Briefly, when we encounter what's next, do not resist me. I will not harm you. Probably. Okay, I won't intentionally harm you. Well, at any rate, this is all I can think about doing. When we fuse together, yield to me!"

As the youth spoke, his form began to change into that of a rather majestic-looking giant platinum wolf with runic line patterns on his fur and two enormous black wings on his back.

The water of the yellow river then exploded outwards, and from the depths emerged a colossal creature with frightfully menacing sharp teeth. It had a scaled head that resembled a dinosaur, like a T-Rex. On his massive muzzle were two long whiskers that flowed magically like they were made of smoke.

This creature had a tail that only God knew how many miles long it was and an immense body with five limbs, eight clawed paws, and four majestic wings, two that looked like pterodactyl wings and two that looked like angelic wings with platinum feathers. On its forehead were three huge platinum runic horns that sparkled with light and electric energies. It burst out the yellow water straight upwards. Then it slowly coiled its long body back down as it floated in the sky.

How utterly terrifying. Unless Jody were crazy, he would definitely realize this monstrous creature was a dragon!

It looked like a cross between the western and eastern dragons he had seen in films! Was this what a real dragon looked like? Jody suddenly hoped he was indeed having a mental breakdown. He heard the wolf's howl, which somehow sounded apprehensive, and then the wolf uttered two words that felt like one.

"Draco Volos."

Those two words seemed to vibrate in Jody's nonexistent heart. They carried a mysterious rhythm.

The dragon then let out an earth-shattering and mighty roar before swallowing the three entities into its belly. Inside of the dragon's maw, it didn't look like the inside of a creature at all. It seemed more like a mystical multicolored passageway that led to heaven or some nice place like that. This was opposed to oblivion, which Jody expected in his heart.

Who knew the trip to hell would be so thrilling? How merciful this dragon was to show them such beautiful scenery as they got chewed like vegetables.

In front of him, the white wolf howled towards the heavens, and suddenly a violent explosion swept through the zone. Green and black flames danced and intertwined with each other, becoming emerald as they engulfed everything in sight. Jody remembered the youth's words in white from before and found he did, in fact, have a strange amount of faith in him.

From the moment he laid eyes on the youth, he had no intention of going anywhere else. Even Jody hadn't noticed this odd occurrence. They felt familiar despite Jody being utterly unfamiliar with the youth. This feeling seemingly came straight from the depths of his soul, as if they had already experienced countless years together or something.

Suddenly, Jody felt another surge of power wash over himself. At the same time, he felt it as the creepy marks Sansa placed on his chest disappeared. He had actually forgotten about them before now. Suddenly, his own form changed as a vast and ancient desolate aura similar to the dragon slowly diffused from him. At this point, Jody felt like he was engulfed in the fiercest flames as he started screaming crazily. However, the atmosphere bursting from his soul buried all of the rampaging powers in its might, suppressing everything.

Jody heard the mysterious dragon chant in his mind before all went back to black.

It felt like years passed. Jody didn't even know when he regained consciousness because everything was utterly empty. After an unknown amount of time, he started to see a mysterious light before it transformed into a small creature. He couldn't see the creature clearly, only its outline.

["Chosen one! Your master has fused a twilight orb into your soul. The True Pharaoh of Twilight approves your Seeker application! You are the first of your kind to be acknowledged by the twilight. Do you wish to pursue the truth of twilight?"]

Jody had many questions, but he found that he couldn't think. He could only make a decision. It was a mysterious and incredibly restricting sensation. Eventually, Jody gave up and chose to chase the damn twilight. Besides, the voice of the Titan had mentioned the twilight.

What's the worst that could happen?

At this point, Jody was thoroughly confused, but he still answered 'no' to the prompt as he didn't have a choice. This little proxy refused to be ignored, and he couldn't even think properly when it asked him anything. Just what had that booming Titan voice roped him into? What exactly was the twilight? Who was the True Pharaoh of Twilight, and how long would they be watching? What if he needed some privacy?

[Current birth status set to female. Proceed with birth? Yes/No]

"Wah?! No! I am a boy, damn it!"

[Is Seeker certain? Being a hero girl on this star sounds fun! So much violence.]

Jody was speechless, as that didn't sound fun at all. Also, wasn't this thing just a proxy? Did it come with AI?

"Uh… sure."
